Guys,
I've been reading quite a bit about UC lately and was wondering if something like that exists : a UC recorder. Basically you install your cabs and do all your config once with the tool running and it would create the UC config files?
If it doesn't exist i think it should...
There was a program called setting savor. You setup your device. Run the backup and it saved everything.
Worked great on Hermes. Not so great on Kaiser. I am not that advanced I would assume Reg locations.
I loved it. UC is great but I think setting savor was better. No config all internet connection settings button layout, sounds, everything.
Wish he would update that.

Can somebody please cook this in in a wm6 Rom!!! This is a great breakthrough At last, my waiting is over
It's already in many WM6 roms (like Xplore 1.1). If it isn't in yours you can install the cab from that thread.
Userfriendly sertup menu, possible?
Isn't there a way to make this option user friendly? It would be great if some of the genius wm6 cooks could manage to make a nice GUI for this function!!!
There has to be one of those gurus that are willing to implement this functionality "straight out of the box"!!!

The only thing you have to do is:
1.: take the _setup.xml
2.: put your sip settings into the filds (like _password_)
3. make a cab file with cabarc
4. install settings to xplore 1.1
5. Enable Internet telefone when available
-- and you did it!
could you just give to me this cab file i have some pb with cabarc

No I cannot - because this are all my settings with password, sipclient and so on.
Just tell me the problem.
For me: I had to try severel folders to put the _setup.xml -> so I tried in cabarc main, then in "include" and so on. suddenly I had the .cab. I think the xml has to be in the mainfolder. Then you got to promt and type "cabarc N settiings.cab _setup.xml" and it done.
I've looked all over and can't get a search to find what i'm looking for....
Is there some kind of reg edit that will turn off the "no phone signal" blip you get with motorola bt headsets? It's annoying when i'm using my Wizard for VOIP or another use. When I turn my phone off, it also seems to turn off my VOIP phone. I think the easiest thing would be to just turn off the no phone status audio notification i get with both my H300's & HT820's. Hopefully someone knows of a prior post or how to do it. Thanks
Hey guys,
So I finally got this outstanding TNT running and I'm getting to know it a little more everyday!
Now here's my little dilemma; I don't like WMP, never have. So on my TNT 19199 rom TCPMP was great. But on this TNT Pro (19213), it just isn't working! I downloaded the latest TCPMP that came in the fun pack, I tried the FLV patch, tried selecting all file associations on the program, even did the registry edit! Still, nothing.... IE runs wmp for vids or audios. I want TCPMP.
Is there anyway to deactivate WMP if all else fails???
Phil
P.s. - I little bit off subect here, but what is the best setting for the Pocketsnes? It runs real slow and for some reason, the buttons are never right! I like to play in landscape with the keypad.
Also, the connection between some bluetooth devices and my pda is a bit screwy. Is there some sort of patch to perfect the connection, make it more clear?
Last thing, what does A2DP do? Is that what I should use for my BT problem? And how do we set up the SDAutorun? I much appreciate that programs run off my SD card rather than clutter the pda's main memory...
By the way...
By the way guys,
I'd like to know how to release the ie touch. I don't know how to explain it, to be able to move the screen around like on opera or on the ie touchflo.... I don't want to install touchflo, just have that option on ie. I think there was a registry edit for that, although I can't remember where...
Also, I just saw a vid on youtube about the google android software on his wizard. The guy was running his wizard at 312mhz! Is that ever possible???
Phil
...?
Uhhmmmm,
Anyone?
Whats up Men! or Girl?
So I dont know... jeje sorry.
here I go...
1.- TNT 19213 has too much issues like HTC audiomanager in htc home doesnt works, no IR beam file for push it like obex, no HTC cube contacts face, this little issues makes me unhappy so i started to search fixes, NO FIXES instead!.
2.- The TCPMP is a great app, in this version from fun pack .81 RC if the flv option doesnt exist, instal the two files that are atached to this post uncompress the 2 FLV files and copy them to: storage... or root ...progam files/tcpmp/ folder that has every codec, if there is the square on file association check it! and exit the program by FIle menu... exit. and turn off the device and so... soft reset, it will function at all.
3.- It doesnt seems to be a fix for change the wmp to tcpmp plug in PIE but if you wish try the original app from streaming media cab in cabs for tnt roms forum right here on this thread.
4.- Because our poor speed processor the emulating is awfull! really awfull! none can turn landscreen on emulators, this 320 mhz omap processor maybe a 8525 device wizard like but it isnt wizard is a HERMES it has much PUNCH! i can retrieve you a most functional emulator but slow cause our processor its attached too.
5.- A2DP is stereo sound via bluetooth headset it came since aku 2 in WM5 is old but good, the issues for bluetooth that you are experimenting are normal because the new platfrm WM6.1 and ftp app.... and celphones with obex file tranfer, and other PPCs with other operative systems, this sucks but its truth.
6.- The sd autorun works simply but some programs wont be installed on your sd card, so if you don want this, its better that you can obtein cabs with options to install the program on SD or Main memory. thats cause the cab construction not for the UC capable Roms with SD autorun.
7.- For PIE touchy jeje you cant turn it touchy its better te Netfront 3.3 free version or 3.5 beta trial version. the 3.5 trial beta version has touchy settings its nice but beta trial, just change your date and enjoy for ever!
I hope to be usefull for you attending your PM, see you soon.. Men or GIRL?
I will try pda viet 19213 right here it seems to be great! jeje
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403425
Oh it hasn't splash screens!
Watch it, all 3 splash screens can be mod! amazing this is some thing i did.
the pda viet roms dont has splash screens just the last one but is awfull jeje try this.
what an enthusiasm, wow.
have fun..
btw...
just try fockin OLD 0.81 tcpmp + whole set of 'good' plugins.
Hey all,
I have a very crazy provisioning script, this thing installs all my apps, moves start menu items, sets up e-mail, sets up network connections, and does a whole buttload of customizations (I am willing to share if you like) and I noticed that any app that needs to shutdown/access outlook during the script locks the phone because manila is running in the background. Even windows Livesearch asks to shut down outlook, but then the phone locks because i guess the manila process wont let it go. I havent tried PIM backup/restore with manila running, but I wanted to share my findings with everyone incase people were having problems.
To get around this, I have a part of my SDCONFIG that enables the phone so I can go to the today settings and turn off manila for the rest of the install.
I'd love to see a reply to this thread and see if anyone has found a workaround other than what I do.
Maybe some chefs can come up with some ideas like disabling manila before customizations begin and then turning it on in the registry before a reboot or something like that. We've got some great minds here im sure we can think of something!

Maybe the chef when cooked in manilla can add reg key to disable at first boot, and then in the preconfig add a reg key to enable at next boot.
suggest it to the chef.
Either way man, Good disscussion!! and good luck
I'll have to test this in my roms to see if it's possible
Yah thats what I was thinking, only thing is that on my phone, my UC script reboots @ the end. So maybe they can just not have manila enabled my default then during the UC script it enables it in the registry after the boot. its pretty easy I have my UC script disable all of the default today items using the app I wrote TodayDisabler, then it goes into the reg and enables just the today plugins I typicaly use (need to update to use manila instead of HTC home and the others i use)
Rather than flashing the FuZE... if I do a hard reset with the trick to not install the AT&T bloatware, will that make the phone any faster?
Also... I just ran a backup with Sprite to my memory card. It is backing up 165mb of stuff. Does that mean that is is backing up all of the AT&T bloatware? I had all boxes checked off except Storage Card. What will the backup entail? It would be kind of stupid if it backed up all of the software I'm trying to remove.
if you have everything ticked in sprite backup then its probably backuping your registry as well.. I'd say go through the options of sprite backup and tick only what you want backed up.
Then hard reset and soft reset right after its booted up before it installs the customizations.. or just use a cooked rom..
I tried to figure out what to uncheck - hopefully this goes right... Will it speed everything up though?
No Manila2D after soft reset?
Question, I just did this. Did the soft reset when it's customizing, and now I don't have the Manila2D installed or at least it's not visible. TouchFlo is in fact there, I see it in Settings, but I do I have to separately find the cab to install it? I'm looking around the file system right now to see if it's on there so I can just install it from there.
Right now, it's just the regular Windows Mobile interface.
Thanks.

Don...I had the same issue with my Fuze. Here is what you do...
Hard Reset on phone
pull battery when customization screen pops up
Reboot
Go to Windows Explorer and look for the following .cab files(I did them in this order):
PT_Manila_REG (TF3D)
MSFT_Security (policy work around - needed)
WM6_PPC (Opera browser)
Java_Preloads (needed for browser)
Optional:
Remove Hidden Proxy
OzIM (multi IM program - I like and use regulary)
MobileBackup (free and I use it)
Once you have done this, reboot and go to this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413562
for some really nice tweaks. Before you do these tweaks though, you'll want to download the following files (sorry, you'll have to look for them):
.NETCF 3.5 (get this from Microsoft site)
Schaps Advanced Config v3.3
some type of registry editor (I have Schap's)
What tweaks you do are up to you...best thing is to experiment and decide what you like best.
Additional files that I have downloaded because of what I use my phone for are the following:
fp7_ppc (flashplayer v7 for pocket pc)
cesetup (Citrix Client software for ppc)
ManilaCustomizer (fantastic program for editing TF3D) get this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437420
Diamond TF3d Config (another fantastic program for tweaking TF3D)
mUn BackGround4AllPages (changes the background on all of the TF3d tabs to match the Home tab)
LiveSearch
Google Maps
WiFiFoFum (wireless net detector)
Fun files that I have installed:
DivX
Lightsaber 1.0 (yes, I am a Star Wars nerd!!)
YahooGoNet
Having all these various programs installed, my Fuze blisters! I had a Tilt previous and tried almost every custom ROM for it over the course of a year. When I got this phone, I was already aware of how to not install the bloat from AT&T. Thanks to other helpful people on xda, I was able to locate the files that I wanted to install. Hope this helps and have fun with your phone, I know I am!!
pghguy1989,
THANK YOU. You were right on the money. I loaded these cab files:
PT_Manila_REG (TF3D)
MSFT_Security (policy work around - needed)
WM6_PPC (Opera browser)
Java_Preloads (needed for browser)
And rebooted, and I'm back up and running with my TouchFlo. That was exactly what I wanted. I was annoyed that it did put some of the AT&T branding on there, but I don't really care. I'm going to now use the TFCustomizer, and clean it up.
Thanks a TON. I was going crazy googling and looking for the right cab files to make it happen!
Can't thank you enough.

If you haven't been using the latest cooked roms, you probably haven't noticed that IE6 is finding its way into WM6.x devices despite what Microsoft says (No 6 on 6).
On that note, you don't have to use it for long to see why. While it gives a richer browsing experience, it ignores the biggest limitation of the handheld device: the screensize. Unlike say, Skyfire, which renders sites on the server side and sends the resulting screen to the handheld, IE6Mo renders it on the handheld. This takes some horsepower and results in a display that the user needs to scroll left/right/up and down to read. This is nice to have as an option - some pages absolutely require it.
For me bottom line is functionality. My question is how do you enable the single-column display that PIE had? I really enjoyed the readability of the minimal display where you only have to scroll vertically. Short of re-cooking a rom with PIE back in, has anyone found registry tweaks or settings to make it do the simply rendering?
Bump.
I would love to see a single-column option return also.
How about tweaking the storage locations? I'd like to have the "temporary file," at least, be on the storage card. They can eat up the memory in a hurry at the older tweaks for this do not work (different registry entries for the newer iem).
ill be watching
this post to see where it goes i like single colums too
Latest kitchens have it included in the core files. I've been installing this IE6PIE cab over them after flashing and have simple browsing back. Not what I had hoped for but, it works.

Take a shot at this regedit. It works on Calcu's TP Kitchen (and Conflippers ROM) without reloading any CABs.
"hklm\security\internet explorer\MSHTML=0" DWORD. This sets it back to old IE rendering. Changes menus and all!

Just tested on a freshly cooked kitchen. It worked and is exactly what I was looking for. Toggle from single column to desktop view looks great! Thanks you for sharing this!

No luck on HDIII. After I edited it, IE just never loads, even after a soft reset.
