Hi guys,
I've got an AT&T branded HTC 8900 (tytn II, kaiser, what else).
Using it in Italy, with 3G provider (Wind).
I've updated it with Dutty V3. and radio i tried 1.27.12.11, -.17, -11.31... and my 3G (neither GPRS) connection doesn't work. When i try to connect the modem suddenly i get the “The answering modem has disconnected” than the “There is a problem connecting to the GPRS service in to your registered home network” messages.
Before the update, the modem had worked fine with 3G connection, with original AT&T ROM.
Any suggestion?

I also have a problem with duttys v3 and 3g. I wrote about it in a diffrent thread already. i can make a connection but there is a certain "lag" when i try to request data from the internet. No Problems on GPRS though. Tried all the diffrent radio roms. no change. Operator is O2 Germany device is a HTC Tytn II. I got a new Sim card today, maybe this will improve the situation. The Sim has a diffrent contact-layout. Will try tonight.
I have the suspicion that S2U2 might cause the problem, but I am not sure. Do you use S2U2? If yes, what version?

No problems here, try delete all settings which auto connections done, delete all proxys reset and enter manual settings to see if it works then
Did you try disabling HSDPA?

I guess it was just a f#cking hidden setting!
Even if I removed all connection setting, it kept not working...
I've installed the removeHiddenProxy4CWS_0522 cab, ( http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/ -> Kaiser Cab Collections )run, and after that it works fine!!

Thanks Dutty! I tried your suggestion. I think it's a little better now but I still think the connection was more responsive in No.7 Rom. For example, when I log on to ICQ with IM+ it used to go straigt to a green "connected" icon. With v3 i get a yellow "connecting" icon for about 15 seconds and then the green one.
My new Sim card just got activated, but made no difference.
It's not that big of a deal for me, as my connection basicaly works.
I will test connection stabilty in he next couple of days.
Other than that v3 is great!! Thank you Dutty!
Are you planning on releasing a new Rom anytime soon?

Sweet!!!, I was having problems not being able to access the internet via PIE, but could using Opera...it was driving me Bonkers!!. This worked..
However, i'm still not able to access tom tom plus server!!, any ideas?
Hi! I reflashed v3 and everything seemed fine again. However I now have a problem where I can't call or receive calls when on UMTS. All is fine when I am on GSM.
I tried Alex's Multimedia Rom (1.56)...same story there.
I now flashed the HTC Rom that came with my Tytn II and so far (2 hours including several test calls) everything seems normal again. Will try to flash v3 again maybe tonight.
Starting to see everything in tricolor ;-)

Nope problems catched up again...does anybody know, if it is better to remove the sim and/or turn off the phone radio before flashing radio roms?

hi,
please see other posts by me(any way to link these threads moderators?) for other threads with similar issues. To clarify, if you revert back to your original rom, your 3G and phone calls work again? I started having problems with my 3G and phone functions about a week after I got my AT&T tilt..but after I changed to one of dutty's roms.
If I disable 3G via the comm manager, all works well, voice and data etc, but I can only do edge speeds. Unfortunately, I live 15 miles from the nearest 3G area so its hard fo me to experiment with roms and settings.
Also, to confuse things even more, one 3G area will still work for me while the network closer into to the Boston metro area won't, leading me to think that a network provisioning upgrade in the Boston area may be looking for something in the original AT&T rom that is now gone. I'm hoping not and that a phone upgrade or mother board swap will fix it(as others are reporting). I should do a revert back to the original rom and drive to my "test" area and see if 3G comes back...that would suck if it does...the stock roms are awful and about 5 years behind the time as far as user interface...like my old Ipaq.
I really like the dutty roms and may just live with edge speeds(dutty a donation will be forth coming once I settle in on a solution dude ).

I guess I tried everything by now...diffrent roms including HTC stock rom, radios, flashing radio with sim in/out.
But the problem always comes back.
About to call HTC support and send my Kaiser in for repair.
Hope it won't take too long, I am addicted to this fine device.
Already charged my old Hermes today. Oh my god the Kaiser is sooo much better compared to the Hermes it almost made me laugh ;-)

been using this a while and have loaded a few apps and finally got it customised the way i really like it so am really loathed to use another rom, am not really a fan of the diamond stuff coming out and the rom im using seems to have 95% of everything i ever wanted (think ive added the htc home customeriser, powertray advanced and opera) however 2 issues would appear on this rom they are minor however the last one is annoying as i am a texter not a talker
1: 3g/gprs icon:
when im in a 3g area all good i have a 3g icon however when im in a gsm only area and can only pick up gprs or have 3g mode turned off on the stock rom used to have a G to signify this however now i have to arrows with an x next to it, does any one know how i can change this so it shows like it used to on the stock rom by having a G?
2: (have done some research into this and cant find anything useful so sorry if this is a known issue) deleting using the del key on the numeric keypad sometimes it will delete the word the cursors infront of and sometimes it will delete letters behind it usually toggleing the Fn button can fix this but it seems to have a mind of its own any clues how to fix this?
thanks allot for any help as i think going a lil mad with the keyboard issue and my girlfriend loves what ive done to my kaiser and wants me to do it with hers but shes hesitant until these 2 issues are ironed out

Im asking on behalf for a friend that just got an att fuze (raphael) for a cab to enable hsdpa on his device.All he gets is 3g on top,I live in Florida and he is in New York so I physically can't input reg entries for him plus he's new to the whole pda thing so it's like blinding leading the lost lol.Also as a bonus ,enabling the band tab in phone so he can switch between wcdma/gsm.

I'm not sure whether this problem was being solved/is resolved somewhere in this forum, but I wasn't able to find a solution to a problem I'm facing.
The thing is, that sometimes (not always) after I've browsed the web on my Vox, the phone seems not to be reachable on the network, i.e. if I try to call my mobile phone from another phone, I just get "The number you are calling is currently unavailable, please try again later".
This seems pretty confusing to me, since the phone shows that it is normally connected to a network and isn't reporting any kind of problems. But it really isn't able to receive a call...the only thing that works is to restart the phone.
Unfortunately, there's no way to tell if the phone is just fine and noone is trying to reach me, or it is stuck in this strange way...
Has anyone experienced simmilar behaviour/found a solution? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm running Dr. Gonzo's Rose v0.3 ROM by the way, but as far as I remember, it also was happening with other ROMs....
P.S.: I'm sorry for my poor english.
Hmm is there really noone else with these problems? Could it be a hardware problem then? Or anything specific for my Vox only?

Hi guys, i can't make a video call. I don't know what are the problem but i have done the setting accordingly. Did i have to go through the hard reset or i miss something else? Every time i make a video call, the message reply "3G network is not available". My phone display on the top bar "E" instead of "3G" even though my phone line is 3G. Please help me for this problem. Thank you

Thank you for your points of advice, but i am in the area where 3G network is available bcoz my friend beside me using touch diamond and shows 3G and able to make a video call. So, i tried to upgrade my touch pro with WM6.5 and plus the latest version of radio rom and it really nice upgrading it but yet still can't reach 3G signal or make any video call. I hv go through and read the forum where there are few guys complaint about 3G and i did not find any points of solution of touch pro problem. Please do help me, thank you.
I'm not sure if this can help, but you could try the latest official ROM and radio, and see if it picks up 3g. Normally if you have the settings on AUTO, and you are in a 3g area, you should get 3g on the phone.

in my case it was a matter of the SIM card. I had a very old one from 1994 and as my provider gave me a new one 3G was available...

Thanks for the advice of changing my SIM card with the new one from the line provider n thats maybe the solution of my problem instead. But i hv not manage yet to do so. For all of the friends information, i hv been upgrade my touchpro with [ROM][WWE][14 Dec 10] Exquisite 4.24 WM 6.5 (23151) for Touch Pro [GSM] just a few days ago n hopping that can solve the problem of can't making a video calls. But it still regrets n i still can't make a video calls even though the radio version is 1.14.25.35. I hv been calling the line provider asking about the problem n the answer was maybe my phone has the problem. That was the very upset answer giving to me. So, i would like to get some advice of changing/upgrade the rom to |Dec 21|RAPH| .¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-|Energy|21916|28244-Sense 2019/2.1/ Titanium since this rom seems to be the latest compare with the above mentioned. Furthermore under the description they was mentioned the "The 28244 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.3 series.....". Hope anyone can help me with this problem n thank you in advance.
