Need Help With Widgets - Touch Cruise General

Hi. Anyone use Nokia's widgets? They are great. Problem is that the Widsets program itself has been installed under Java. Java is not in Programs (where the manual says it is supposed to be) but only under Windows. So I can only get to Widsets using Explorer browsing to Windows. I cannot get to the Widsets program using Launcher to put it with my most used programs. Any advice on how I can get Widsets into Programs so I can use Launcher? Many thanks in advance.

Shortcut for java application ?

Hi,
I have some java applications that I really like on my Vox-S710 For example: gmail, Opera mini, ...
Unfortunately, I always need to go into the Esmertec java player before launching any java application.
Is there a way to create a shortcut for each java application in order to be able to call them from the standard program menu ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

*Bump* I'd like to know if this is possible, and how, too. Wouldn't matter if the Java-screen came up first anyway, but it would make it faster.
Try this, make a new .lnk file in Start and write in this
19#"\Windows\jbed.exe" -run s1_
this runs application that was installed as first. Modify s1_ and replace 1 with position of your application

Thanks, I'll try (if I can figure out how to make an *.lnk-file. I'll have a search around.)
It's been mentioned across xda-developers a few times, discussed by Dr Gonzo and is on a few sites on the www as well. It's not too complicated to set up.
The example here: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6800-xv6800/91837-opera-mini-4-beta-2-released-includes-info-new-java-midlet-manager.html, tells you how to set up a shortcut for opera but the process is the same for the other apps in you java manager too. That link is also a good summary of all the different things you can do with opera mini, make it a system level browser, cancel the permissions dialogues ect.
Thanks
Thanks !
That is exactly what I was looking for.

How do you create a link that mimics the programs link in the start menu?

I have a treo pro. I don't know if that matters?
I've found that fexplore.exe \windows\start menu\programs works but it doesn't work like the programs link in the start menu. This is my first WM device and any help will be a appreciated.

There is a way shown here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416092#3
However, it involves a third party app called folderview.exe, which although mimics the programs link in the start menu, but not a perfect replica. I wonder if we can use the native one...
BTW, that was written for HTC Touch Diamond, you might need to improvise abit, should be quite straight forward.

Launching an application via Terminal?

How am I to launch an application via Terminal?
I want to launch MyFaves via Terminal, as it doesn't show on my
Android G1 Desktop ( And yes, I do have the MyFaves Service, as it shows just fine on my other T-Mobile Device ).
I also want to open a few other applications I noticed existed, but are not shown on the desktop.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Oblytile Modern App Shortcuts.

I have used OblyTile to create some Modern App shortcuts on my Desktop. They work great.
My question: Is it possible to run these shortcuts/apps without using explorer as a Shell? I tried it and get VBScript runtime error. I'm guessing the Modern Apps rely on explorer.exe running to be used?
Thanks for any help

[Q] How to launch deployed app

So I deployed an app.
It works fine. It's seen by Program Manager, but I would prefer it to be shown between the apps (even not as tile), but I don't seem to find a way to do it. Is there any way to do it?
+ if someone is generous enough to answerthis question too: XAP Deployer - how to use it, as I don;t know how to put .xap file to my device?
