I cid unlocked my phone following the topic

all worked well, tried a couple of roms and settled on
L26 WM 6.1 Professional WWE V6a (MMS and JAVA updated) rom, seems to be working ok, certainly all my apps work.
However like a typical noob I missed out on some important reading about hard spl and how it can protect my phone from a bad flash.
Now that I've done all of the above, is it too late to go back and protect my phone with hard spl?

I think that's done automatically when you flash hard spl.

step one in that unlocker would have flashed hardspl on your device, if u skipped it then no, its not too late, you can still do it now

Just go into bootloader mode (power button + camera button + reset). If the screen shows SPL-1.0.OliPof then you are ok. If not then just reflash hardSPL.
SPL-1.0.OliPof is there in bootloader.

HI, i download this rom RUU_mUn_aRTM_10_2_0_8_WWE and clicked the .exe and everything seemed to be going good but wen it was done nothing had changed it was exaxctly the same.Any one no wat i did wrong?
ps i bought my 8125 from someguy and its unlocked and says some numbers wen u first boot it up.Dont know if that helps

READ READ READ - It looks you are running a stock ROM. I have no way of knowing if it is unlocked or not.
First you need to upgrade to a 2.XX ROM. I would suggest unlocking it yourself to be on the safe side. READ and follow the directions exactly!!
Then upgrade to this ROM, again, after READING and following directions exactly.
WARNING - You can kill your new toy if you do not READ and follow directions exactly. Even if you do, you may still have problems. THAT is when you start asking questions here.

Read and understand everything about it. This will tell you how to CID unlock your phone. Since you are IPL/SPL 1.00 then you don't have to do the Button rom downgrade (that would be an upgrade for you . You can try starting with lokiwiz (step 4 I think) and go from there. But if you get errors from lokiwiz then put the button rom on and do it again. Then continue with the steps and upgrade to the T-Mobile 2.26 ROM. That will get your IPL / SPL to 2.26 and give you a nice stable platform to work off of. Then (and only then) you can start looking at putting on custom roms like WM6.

I have posted this problem in a couple of threads, but it always seems to get lost in the page after page of other questions.
Here is my problem. I have been reading this forum for weeks in preparation of upgrading my Cingular 8125. I got it 2 weeks ago, but still spent another week reading the tutorials and FAQ's so I wouldn't be a nuisance poster. Well things have gone so badly that I really need help.
I have a Cingular 8125, IPL/SPL 2.25 I have button flashed it over 20 times and I get an IPL of 1.08, but my SPL is still 2.25. I have tried other flashing methods, other files. I tried Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102. I have cleared the computer with nothing running. Booted and re-booted. I have gone back to 2.25 and tried button again and again.
I am so disappointed because I have spent so much time at this site, but can't even get past the first step towards flashing a new ROM. Please, any help would be appreciated.
How do I get my SPL down from 2.25

You should reply to your existing thread after a day or two to get it on top of the list again, should you haven't gotten the answer you need instead of creating countless threads over time about the same issue

It sounds like your phone is CID locked (this is something different as SIM-locked btw). I do not really know if this also affects whether or not you are able to flash IPL/SPL but it affects flashing the OS for sure.
I am so disappointed because I have spent so much time at this site, but can't even get past the first step towards flashing a new ROM. Please, any help would be appreciated. How do I get my SPL down from 2.25

first key in "U" to unlock and then
you should key in letter "C" for cid unlock .
check step #16 you will see
16. Watch the rebooting of your PDA, if BOTH IPL and SPL are 1.xx then great. Quite probably your IPL will be 1.xx and your SPL will be 2.xx. Rerun the button 1.05 ROM downgrade a second time and it will become 1.x on both IPL and SPL. You don't need to redo the unlocking.

I have checked the stickies. Like I said, I 've been reading this site for weeks. I read it late into the night. Frankly, I'm all read out. I now know how to do a lot with this unit if only I could get the SPL down from 2.25.
I've got to get it down from 2.25 so I can run lokiwiz. Please help.

You ran lokiwiz and it worked with an SPL of 2.25? It is my understanding that both IPL/SPL need to be 1.xx for lokiwiz to work. I'll give it a try though.

as i state , follow that step thru slowly and carfully, you will get it done. But first remember by heart that you have to make sure that you got a "G3" or "G4" ...very IMPORTANT

Thanks for your replies. I'm sure it is a G3 because my IPL/SPL are 2.xx, not 2.xxx, which I have read is how you tell the difference. I have followed that post word for word.
I have been hitting "U" as the post states and it always fails. I assumed it was because my unit has not downgraded completely following step 2, so I didn't think step 4 would work until step 2 was done right.
But I will try your way as soon as I'm done my coffee and report back. Thanks again for your help.

In addition to the great help that Hoang and other members have given you, I would suggest having the Wizard Unlocking Wiki and Dr Puttinghams Definitive unlocking guide within arm’s reach. Both of these compliment vippies tutorial. Here they are:

Two months ago, I unlocked my 8125 G3 (2.25 IPL/SPL) with no problems refering to all three of the tutorials (I just wanted to be safe).
After you initially downgrade your ROM to the Button ROM (you would only perform this step once)….
You only have to worry about having the same values for both the IPL/SPL after you run Lokiwiz twice (once for sim unlock and the second for the CID unlock). Your wizard will reboot both times, if you did it correctly.
At this point is when you need to make sure that your IPL/SPL are the same (i.e., 1.xx). If it isn’t, then you would be required to run the Button Rom again.

Stupid me. I am the perfect example of people who have read things over and over and still missed something.
When running lokiwiz, I copied the enablerapi.cab to my phone, but failed to go back to my phone and extract it.
Everything is perfect now. Phone is SIM and CID unlocked and I am already playing with the ne TNT 5.0 Touchflo edition.

keep in mind that , there will be more new people like you and me suufer thru the unlock step. so prepare to help them out as paying forward ..

Hey I had the same issue with my 8125 on my first attempt. Again, read the tutorials, very important.
This is how my 8125 really became cid unlocked:
[First I used Lokiwiz2 to cid unlock. I then flashed the button rom. When I flashed I had IPL 1.xx and SPL 2.25. I ran the lokiwiz2 again and successfully cid unlocked (prior to this I received an error from lokiwiz). This 2nd unlock attempt with the button rom did it for me. After the cid unlock, I reflashed the button rom and both IPL, SPL were 1.xx.]
Now flash an OEM rom (Tmo or Cingular) so you dont have memory leaks. Now your ready to flash a WM6 rom.

Hi, I use to flash cooked roms and go back and forth with official ones together with my spl. Now that i wanted to flash hard spl again so i can use newly cooked roms i cant flash hard spl using sspl or jump spl. it doesnt show usb anymore as how it use to be..anybody pls help? is there a way to flash hard spl without the sspl or jump spl?

i use to have hard spl sir,and went back to normal official spl,just like going back to official roms.never had a problem..all went smoothly. been running official wm6.1 htc wwe for 2 weeks now with the original spl (not hard spl). Now that i wanted to try again to hard spl and flash cooked roms safely i cant see the usb on the bottom when i do sspl or jump uspl. am i missing something sir??

i do a lot of kaiser and athena rom building, I posted a few decent roms at the beginning of the year but i havent released one since... (workin on one now though) but i am not exactly the caliber of rom builder that some of these guys are ... anyways, my point is that i have been in A LOT of hairy situations like this, but persistance is the key, so if i can help in any way i will....

hey genius you are replying to the wrong guy. I DID NOT make the post. The guy who did i already suggested the solution you provided (even before you did) under jockyw's hardspl thread where he posted the same exact problem ....
i have managed to get in to the bootloader to flash the hard spl,using the 1.56 ver of sspl..however,neither of all the hard spl works after that.i cant flash any of the hard spl packages. im really suprise this is happening as i have done a lot of flashing back and forth for my tytnII. oh yah,my spl is 3.29 from the official HTC WWE wm6.1

hey all, i turn my tilt off every night for a few hours and this morning on my way to work, all i got was the bootloader screen, thought something was wrong turned it off removed battery and after waiting 5 or 10 mins put the battery back in and everything worked fine. later on during the day i shut off my phone again and its back in bootloader again upon powering up this time i cannot exit. dont know what to do.
Take out your MicroSD card, then hard reset.

We wouldnt know, you never mention it. What does the bootloader say? What are the text on it?

Trying to flash to 6.1.
Sleuth V3 stops at 18% and Lex 26 Diamond V9 @ 16% - Installed as per the excllent Sleuth guidlines.
What am I doing wrong? - Being a newbie, I have suspicions the radio needs and upgrade however - Please can someone point me in the right directions.

Have you installed Hard SPL?

pretty sure he missed the hardspl! use jockeyw hardspls if you want flashing wm 6.1 olipro will also work but its recommended to use a hardspl ripped from a wm 6.1 edition

Jump SPL is used for Flashing Hard SPL's only. If you have flashed Hard SPL already, then you just plug in your phone to your PC via USB and use the KaiserCustomRUU tool.
Or Flash from SD Card (Instructions in the Wiki).

Unless I'm suffering from amnesia, HardSPL IS the method for CID Unlocking.
I know, but I had to download & run the SID/CID unlocker for the hardSPL to work.
