I am having problems recieving voicemails. it just says the caller you are trying to reach is not accepting calls. and when i hit ignore it gives a busy signal!! any ideas? i am running the htc wwe 6.1.
there is no problem with your rom. This is a problem with the caller you are trying to reach. Usually, they get that when they didn't pay their phone bill.
Could you give us a clue as to your country/operator? It sounds like something that needs enabling on your account with them.
well i was really worried it was my rom cuz it just started when i did that but for some reason att just dropped my voicemail????? pretty dumb but thanks.

Hey everyone. For some reason, I'm not receiving text messages. People are able to see the messages I send, but I can't get any from them. This is really starting to bug me.
I used NoGPRS To disable MediaNet and AT&T ISP GPRS. Does this have something to do with it?
hey i got the same sorta problem. started happening last night. i would recieve texts way late. im not sure. im running romeos
I'm not recieving texts at all.
The only time I get texts or send them, is when I take the battery out, put it back in, and fire it up again woked once or twice,
Stock Fuze ROM
Got a new SIM card from at&t and didnt help...

I have the problem of texts coming in really late or when I open the messages program. I am on Vodafone UK. Wonder if its a software problem? What software are you using?

I was using the stock at&t rom, but I flashed elite rc3 on my phone and now its instant again... it has to be software related.
Before root i was able to hear a caller announcement of the caller id. The actual
name of the person calling me was sent thru the bluetooth. As in "Jeff" is calling
would be announced.
I rooted my phone and then it just announces the caller id number.
Does anybody have this same problem. I Unrooted I think to the stock ruu
but have no idea what kernel or software number it was.
I took the phone phone back and said that it was defective.
The service rep and everyone else there said they never heard of such a thing
Then i told him to pair my bluetooth with his TB and he was like holy **** thats
kick ass where did i get the bluetooth?
He then listened to it with my phone and just the number.
So i got a new phone
Now if anyone is wondering what bluetooth, It's under $20
(LG hbm 570) says it has caller announcement on it and it does work.
Here is my question is there a way to keep that caller announcement
working with the root.
When rooting what is it that would do this.
Is there a way to keep the same software version maybe?
Or the same kernel or what would i have to keep the same?
I need this so when my phone is downstairs and im upstairs and someone
calls i know who is calling.
I'm so use to name announcement when i had my omnia i910 yes omnia
it worked on.
I have no clue who's number is who.
Any help or info would be great.
thanks in advance

Anyone?
Or at least if i root what can i use so i don't lose caller announcement
Can anyone tell me what i need.
Like should i root with stock kernel or rom?
Anyone , is it even possible.
Does anyone else have caller announcment on there phone?
It is kick ass. If your not by your phone but have bluetooth on
and in ear you know whos calling you.
Or maybe an app that would do this?
I recently left Orange (UK) and went with Virgin for a month and now I'm back with Orange. Each time I took my number with me except this time something has gone wrong. Ever since my porting day (Monday) I haven't been able to send a text, yet, I can make/receive calls, use data and even receive texts.
I originally thought my accidental wiping of the SMSC was the cause of the problem but having restored that (using this and asking them to give me a update text) it seems it was just a coincidence (although, I'm not convinced).
I have spoken to Orange four times this week and on Tuesday I was told that Virgin had not properly released my number and that it would be up to the porting department. Said department rang me the following day (Wednesday) and said that my number would properly port by midnight that night (i.e. by now).
I rang again today and Orange said Virgin had still not released 'the files' regarding my number and that it would be done by midnight. I poliletely told the lady that I didn't believe her and she's promised to ring me back tomorrow after it has been sorted.
To me, this all sounds a bit fishy. I don't understand how I am able to make/receive calls, etc. and just not send texts. Am I right to be suspicious? Has anybody experienced any similar problem? Does it sound plausible? Maybe I'm being too cynical but I'm getting sick of spending half an hour a day on the phone to them and still not being able to use my brand new phone how I'd like!
Thank you for your time and I hope someone can cheer me up!
P.S. For the record I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I have tried a different sim in the phone which worked and my Orange sim in a different phone which didn't work. When a text fails to send I get no error whatsoever, just 'Message failed to send, retry?'.
I work for O2 & sometimes it has been known to happen. When you move a number by using a PAC Code, it moves the number but as there is no number on the account... It then closes/disconnects the account.
If there is a Porting problem, the Customer Service Adviser should have a chat with the Help Desk or Tech team as they can try and sort it. However, sometimes we advise customers to talk to there previous network provider as the port in completes correctly with us but not with them.
Hope that helps?
you really help me

Thanks for your reply. They kept promising me it'll 'be done by midnight' on various days and obviously it hasn't. They keep saying this is Virgin's fault. Do you think it is Virgin's fault and that I could achieve anything if I rang them up (which I dread, I haven't liked their call centres)? If so, what would I say?
Cheers, Rowan.
Edit: I just rang them up again and they now say the porting completed and they still weren't sure so are sending me a new simcard. Fingers crossed!
Hi I am using the ATT HTC VIVID
I bought this phone last Nov 11, and I stated noticing my phone was not receiving any calls if I stay at home(jersey city). If anyone calls to my number it will not connect at the same time it will not sent to voicemail also. It will say "call couldn't be completed".
After 2 months fight with ATT, they tried
1. they did a factory reset on my phone - it didn't help
2. changed the sim card - it didn't help
3. finally they replaced a another HTC vivid
even that didn't help
finally they said there was issue in near to my home and they fixed it.
now i a started receiving calls but now the issue i am having is, if I call to my number it will not connect first time it will go to voicemail, and second time if i try then it will ring. (First time also my phone is idle) This is happening randomly and ATT is not helping on this situation. As per them I am not able to replicate when they were testing on my phone.
Because of this issue I am missing calls which is making me really frustrated. After three week of research I found this is happening in not only near to my home its happening at my work place (NYC) and if I go around also its happening.
Can someone please give some advice to fix the issue that would be really great
Sounds like an issue that IMEI is conflicting :'(
Low end cheap bro.....
First of all, thanks for the response
But I am not getting the answer clearly
Can you please explain more and what should I do
Do I need to contact ATT or something
I am unfortunately a Sprint customer. I had an ordeal just getting the sim card, to simply activate a few weeks ago... but that's for another area of the forum.
I am wondering that perhaps i am getting this issue due to not having a Sprint provided N5 and since i used Google Voice for my messages, I never bothered to setup Sprint voicemail.. nor do I have an app on the phone for Sprint voicemail.
I get 2 messages.. and each time looks like this:
//ANDROID:[email protected] has sent you a Sprint Voice Message. Call 408-970-0000 toMMSN,c9c98480707,400,V68a+Im3diX//CM
It comes in every 3-4 days... and just doesn't want to stop. I don't even know how to check Sprint VM to get this cleared...
Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions to get these texts to stop?
