There has been discussion in the development and hacking section, with people requesting a port of the popular Iphone game, Iphysics.
I was going to respond to that thread, but haven't for two reason:
1. The Development and Hacking thread is only supposed to allow posting from hardcore techies or developers apparently, of which I am neither.
2. This is regarding a seperate piece of software to Iphysics.
Anyway, here is the idea.
The good people at Microsoft have created a program called Microsoft Physics Illustrator, in collaboration with MIT. It is extremely similar to Crayon Physics/Iphysics/Pocket Physics.
The up side? It is free, and already built to work on Microsoft Tablet PCs with a stylus. Further to that, the source code is also available freely for download. Microsoft states that you are free to do with it what you like, as long as you don't use it for commercial gain.
It should be MUCH easier to port to pocket pc than the previous three mentioned projects.
The source code as well as a working model for tablet PC and normal PC can be found here:
http://blog.hypercubed.com/archives/2006/02/05/how-to-use-physics-illistrator-on-non-tablet-pc/
I imagine it would require our PPCs to have .NET CF 3.5 also.
Perhaps someone with more development skills then me would know how to port this to PPC?
is the PPC game Amazing World not something similar?

When I saw HTC's new Manila version from the Diamond 2 and Pro 2 and intsalled Dutty's Xtreme ROM on my HD, some things attracted my attention.
Did you notice the similarities between the programs FingerMenu and FingerKeyboard that were released here at xda-developers and HTC's new menu and keyboard designs?
What's interesting is that those programs were released only a few weeks before HTC came up with it's new Manila version that contains the new menus and keyboard layouts.
See the screenshots for comparison:

Is it pure coincidence? Or is HTC reading our forum attentively in order to 'steal' the best ideas created here? Or do they even license programs created on xda-developers?
Even Microsoft seems to be copying the concept of FingerMenu:
OK, I have to mention that these menus were already integrated into TouchFlo, but NOT into the whole system.
Oh, and there's the obvious iPhone-copying, too:
And they even copied the Palm Pre already: Contacts integration with facebook, and the new 'interaction' views in the contacts menus clearly remind me of the concepts Palm introduced some weeks ago...
It's really interesting to see xda-developers, HTC and Microsoft developing the same concepts at the same time....

Note that all of the above is done without breaking any copyright laws or illegally redistributing proprietary copyright material. It would be good to keep it that way. Time will tell how what conventions of legality are enforced by the moderators on these new XDA webOS forums.
In particular, it is illegal to redistribute any webOS Doctor files, including any custom webOS Doctor which has been created by the WebOS Internals MetaDoctor. Each end-user must run the tool themselves for their own personal device.

Hiya guys,
I have been working on a project that would allow anyone to create simple web-pages on their desktop pc's as-well as mobile device fast and easily! After much frustration I think I have what could be considered a 'working alpha' and would love for some of you to come and test what I have created. It uses a drag and drop type interface and hosts a number of features and tools to create web-pages.
The tool is 100% web-based and should work on just about any device (Im going to regret saying that). I had the idea that this might be useful for sites such as Ebay, to create templates for your auctions easily or static pages etc on the move.
Here is an image of the alpha taken from my desire hd2 -

Looking foward to some feedback guys!
Hi everybody,
I am a new member of this forum and a new android developer. I have designed a really really simple application just for learning on my own the basic principles of Android programming, so here it is. I only have an Android device, more concretely a Nexus 5, so I would be very thankful if somebody could tell me how it works (and looks) in other screens. Also, any advices and comments about pretty much anything will be highly appreciated. Oh, and before someone says it, I know how childish the design is; it's my personal touch haha.
Thank you all!

Kuk the Cookie is a fortune cookie that will tell you your future if you click over it.
That future could be a good one or a bad one, just like in real life. It will probably be bad, just like in real life. About its accuracy, Kuk claims to have a hit rate at least equal to any other medium, palm reader, oracle or fortune cookie.
So do not take it too seriously.

Hie all i am working on an automation project and one of the aspects of it is to take a photo of s rock samples using a hacked selfie stick controlled by a micropocessor like raspberry pi. The hacking only involves the button of the selfie stick only.
My question is, can a selfie stick/bluetooth remote work with android tablets? i would like to know before i commit funds to buying. If there is any means of controlling it via remote control (without use of cables- has to be wireless) please let me know. The tablet is a generic Industrial tablet used on microscopes but it has bluetooth it was supplied to us by the project manager so its the only one we have to work with unfortunately.
