i have a Polaris and an Asus p750 too.
i would like to know if it's possibile to make work the HTC today plugin on the Asus. I've tried to install it but after selectin it in the today menu on ther today screen doesn't appear enyting.
Can you help me?
and also... the Asus has a funny quicl launch app that maybe could be ported... or not?

How did you take the HTC today plugin off the Polaris? Maybe you should try one of the HTC Home cab files that are circulating in the other forums (i.e. Kaiser, Artemis, ect). Those should have all the registry and dll's you need to get running.
i've used the cab file ti install it! the same used to install it on an HTC divece. but nothing.
is there any method to make it work?

As i was going through the REG today on the train i noticed that in the touchflow reg settings there is a place to set the touchcube on and off it is set off by default. So this makes me think that the cube from the touch could be run on the Kaiser with minimal effort hell maybe the proper moduals are already in the rom and it just needs to reg setting changed to 1. Can someone chime in on this?
HKLM>Software>OEM>TFLOSettings>EnableCube=0

this should be a pretty easy port since we probably have the same touch.dll as the HTC Touch(Elf) is there anyone that would be interested in something like this? does anyone know if someone has tried this for the Kaiser yet?

no luck
I tried the touch alpha cab still gets the intermittent black screen now and then so i just un-install it, this was one of main purpose of getting the kaiser but i'm sure this will get figured out soon.

I thought the Touch Cube requires special hardware touch screen as well, which Kaiser is lacking?

Before I had an MDA Vario I and had no trouble installing the cube on that device...
No special touch screen required I guess...
But the cube can't be installed from a simple cab file and since we can't flash custom ROMs yet I think we'll have to wait...

Just out of curiosity:
Why do you need to flash the rom anyway?
The cube is probably some dll loaded by WM6 shell, so if you could find out what dll it is, and register it on another system it should work?
Well at least that's what i would do under windows, don't know that much about ppc's...

Chech the Today menu for it, if it's not there do a Hard Reset...
If that still doesn't solve the problem you still can use the search option on the forum
Go to Start>Today>Items and tick HTC Home.
If your device is really HTC you should find it, otherwise you may have to go the "hard" way
on my old touch (elf) i was using the htc player to play music files
ok there is a tab on the home page but no more full application?
btw i was using one functionnality on this application: i was cutting a part of the music and i was able to set it to ring.
how can i do this with the tab?
am i forced to cut myself the music on my computer and past the file on the windows folder on the phone (old style way)?

It sounds like you need the MP3 Trimmer program. There is a post in this section that has the cab file for it. Try searching for "MP3 trimmer"...

mmh seems there is a problem
i've took the cab, installed it
but when i press the icon on the programs tab, nothing happens. the screen go blanck for a second and then i'm back on the program tab
edit: tried the QvGA version found on a topic in diamond section
work fine but since its qvga it's not usable
the vga version i've found in the raphael forum don't work
tried 3 other cabs in the xda forums and none working on my touch pro
is it beacause it's in french?
if yes, does anybody got a cab working on the french touch pro ?

What ROM do you use? Some cooked ROM or the original stock ROM?
the original french (orange) rom
i'll flash the rom in some month when i'll get ride off the original rom ^^
In this case I think you probably already have the MP3Trimmer installed. As far as I know it comes pre-installed on all stock ROMs.

i've installed lot of application to test, perhaps one of them brick the mp3 trimmer?
i've found a mp3 trimmer .exe in the windows folder, does not work neither.
btw i've found some program in the window folder that are not in the program list
(such as taskmanager)

Maybe just the shortcut is gone. please check if you have a file called "MP3Trimmer.exe" in your windows folder to make sure.

yes i have it but it had the same bug
when i try to lauch it, i can see "mp3 trimmer" on the top on the screen and then it shut off
That sounds bad. Probably some DLL file is missing or something. I'm sorry but I'm out of ideas (except for a hard reset at least).

after the hard reset no more mp3 trimmer.exe in the windows folder
seem that in the orange stock rom this application is not installed and when you install it you can't run it
very strange coz the QVGA version work fine

I wish you luck, hopefully it's worth it! If not you should consider a ROM change. I would suggest ROMeOS v1.40 - it's also available in french.

One week ago I got my new HTC HD2 mobile. What a great thing. I got this mobile phone from my german provider Vodafone. When I try to create my one ring from my favorite mp3 song I searched the program MP3trimmer. But I can't find the programm. REading a lot of article I found out, that some of the mobiles where delivered without this nice program. Did anyone have an idea where I can get this program for my brand new HD2.

I installed it and tried to run the program. But after starting the program I found myself on the desktop again. No chance to open the program. But maybe someone else had an idea where I can get an executable version of the mp3trimmer.
give this one a try too..it is a modified version of diamond's mp3 trimmer for VGA. (can only be installed in phone memory)

Hi, has anyone been able to extract yahoo messenger cab from HTC HD2 phone and able to install it on TP2?
I know there are multiple clients available. I would like a standalone dedicated app from Yahoo.
