Hi,
I have just received a Cruise, and now when i start it the HTC Home is gone. What can i do? I have tried with hardrest.
first place to check is in settings / today / items
It should appear in the list and be checked.
have the same problem but after having changed the official rom for the light one from this forum donna know what to do. hard reset has been tried and brought no results.

Light normally means that most apps are taken off. Then it's up to you to add what you want.
Just search for HTC Home blue cab (just a name not a colour) and install it if you want Home. Look in the 'tweaks' thread in 'Upgrading' and you'll find it in 'All HTC Software'.

Just wanted to post some pics of what this rom can look like with a few cabs that I've provided in post 1. Big ups to poorlyduck for the dialpad!! The one attached to this post is slightly modded. Found another cab inside his cab just taking up space.

EDIT: I fixed it, very simple, just 2 missing registry entries. I'll re-cook and up the new rom tomorrow along with a cab for those of you that already downloaded my rom. Instructions on how to fix below for those of you that are registry savy:

Flashed it and inserted "Category"="Ring" since the other "Script"="apw3r" was already there. Calls coming in fine.
So far the rom runs fine with whatever apps I have, at least installed fine. Some apps not tested but majority are fine.
The only regret here is the comm manager and dialer used. For comm manager, I have cabs to install to whatever I like but for 3G dialer, I've yet to find one working 3G dialer with nice skins to match and smartdialing. Most of the nice 3G dialers with nice skins and smartdial are cooked into roms. Any help on this area would be appreciated.

Entries were already there? Wierd. I wonder why it was missing for me. Maybe a cab you installed put them in? Anyways for everyone else, if your ringer doesn't work just install the cab.
As for the Comm Manager and Dialer, just post a pic of which one you want and I'd be more than happy to try and make a cab for you. Usually not too hard finding the files since everyone in XDA shares and most dialers are either based on Touch Dual, Kaiser or DxC so should be fairly simple to make.

i d/led the version of the rom that you pulled off the net last night because of the ringer issue. I also d/led the patch cab to fix it but there were other problems that I faced. When i installed certain cabs, such as htc home plugin, that usually need the kaiser to restart directly after installation, for some reason didn't need to restart. So i was like ok, no big deal. I then soft reset and when it loads windows it sits there for about 10 seconds and then pops up this white screen with an error for a split second then restarts automatically and continually does that until i hard reset.
Might be the version of home you installed. Install the one from my cab pack and see if you have the same problem. My cab will not ask you to reboot so reboot manually if needed.
Running a test to see if I finally figured out what is causing the lockups for me...
Hopefully I've got it nailed down this time around.

I managed to get it to lock up once with nothing but BBC installed & changing the BT settings.
I then hard reset & immediately loaded ICS 6.0 from your CAB.
So far it looks like I can do everything with BT just fine with BBC installed & running on the phone.
We'll see how it does after it's been running a few hours, but I think that might have been it. I never bothered installing the ICS part on the other ROMs, but I also never took it out of the working 3.55 build I tweaked.
So ICS fixed it then? Great news. That 6.0 cab was made by Chainfire for use with WMWifiRouter. I always remove the Internet Sharing from my 6.1 roms because I read somewhere that when you tether using the 6.1 version of IS your carrier can track your usage.

it should work on elfin this is a os only rom no radio, spl ipl or splash

It won't run on elfin (on mine at least).
I tried with several RUU, including (at first attempt) with the one provided in the archive.
I think it has to deal with the version number which is set to 1.00.... Seyia, on win-mobile forum (french) had the same issue with flash for elfin, while his rom was flashing with no problem on elf.
If you could renew your rom with an other version number, it should do the trick
BTW, i'd really like to test this rom

You can run the Page Pool changer or device_info.bat applications to view or change the PP size (see my sig).

did you use the elfin friendly version?
hey, i just flashed my elf with this rom and everything works great. one problem i noticed was that when i press the volume button and click the volume icon it opens the battery settings and the signal icon opens the volume.. other than that its great!

that's the point I didn't use elfin friendly version but it work well,should it be a abnormal thing?
the only problem I encounter by now is when I slide tab to message, it can just display english character but other words like chinese are missing, any idea about it?

This is an amazing ROM! I have been taking a break from flashing new ROMs and glad I tried this. I haven't even loaded any other apps and may not. Great job!
So far I have not found anything I don't like - and that never happens! I prefer the PCM keyboard with my skin, but the one on this ROM is certainly acceptable and I will likely get used to it. The dialer is amazing. I have not seen that slide up and down to hide the commands before.
If there is anyone on the fence about trying this ROM - DO IT - DO IT NOW. I had no problems flashing using the ELFIN files on post one.

Give it a hard reset. Same thing happened to me, hard reset helped.
I would recommend one of the cooked ROMs for speed though (check the ROM development forum).

Do you mean you have an official wm6.5 ROM for TD2?!?with Manila 2.1?!?!That's a weird combination..All original ROMs are published here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Topaz_ROMs_Shipped , all official ROMs are wm6.1, except one that is not suitable for you.
If you intend to flash, read ULTRA CAREFULLY all instructions.
Easiest way would be to install a Theme, but there isn't any Topaz specific, try those for HD/Blackstone,who knows...Last resort is to individually customize the elements you don't like (e.g. background in all pages,clock,taskbar etc..). Also in this case,READ CAREFULLY instructions and compatibility info.

I have a big problem because always then i start IGO8 or Navigon 7.4.0
my phone built a connection with the Internet Vodafone Live! and the tool "nodata" not work/functioned not.

hey i just got my HD2 and would like to make the bottom and top task bar transparent. but with HD Wall i got a problem.. all the other tabs also do have this background(but there is a black line on the right side)..
