Windows Live Messenger can't add contacts at all?

Hi again,
I've upgraded the Treo 750v (Vodafone) into Windows Mobile 6.
I can use the Windows Live email without any problem at all, and so if I sign-in with the Messenger built-in.
But everytime after I sign-in into Messenger and tried to add a new contact, the Messenger just won't do anything even though I've entered the correct email address.
For example: I wrote "[email protected]" and cilck the 'Ok" button, nothing happen and the screen still at the add new contact window.
If I wrote 'somone_name" (without @hotmail.com), Messenger could say that was not the correct email address...
What gives? Is something wrong with my Messenger?
For further informations, I've already put the email address I wish to add into every contacts name in the Windows Mobile contacts phonebook...
Anyone can help me out?

windows live messenger cab problems on i607 blackjack

Hi !
new user here ! with its first problem that i couldnt find the answer with the search function ! ;p hope anyone can help me.
i'm trying to install windows live messenger cab file to my blackjack (it already has an IM at&t version installed)
whats weird is that the installed messenger app simply doesnt start and windows live hangs in a weird page that has live search and text saying log in to windows live.
the reason im trying to manually install it is that the at&t version of msn charges each sms as a text message.. even though im connecting to msn and chatting with computer users.

Don't show the blody msn contacts

Hello all,
If got my HTC Herald for quite a while now and started using MSN Live. But now comes the clue. This stupid software started syncin all my blody msn contacts with my mobile phone' contacts. This is blody anoying since i got 483 msn contacts and i don't want them in my normal contact list.
How do i get them out easly without smashin my phone? Is there some software for it or?

I got the same problem ... this was still annoying, because this stupid app just synced them into my contact list and then my mobile phone synced with my online adressbook ...
So, i had to delete all contacts on my pda and online, and then push back an update on my online adressbook and synced again. since this day, i never used msn again on my mobile phone (just over the app mChat) ...

Yeah but isnt there a tool that gets you rid of all ur contacts with only a msn adres? or where you can select multiple and delete all at once? CBA to delete em one by one

Messenger Question

Hi all:
Let me begin by saying I have searched endlessly, but am not having much luck. I even posted a reply in a very old thread I found here on xda, but never got any replies.
Here is my question, I use Windows Live messenger. On my Windows Live contacts list, I have several Yahoo contacts. I am able to send and receive messages from them through Windows live. I know this is also possible on Yahoo messenger, since some of my friends have my Windows Live ID on their Yahoo contact lists.
For some reason on all of the mobile messengers I do not see my Yahoo contacts.
Do any of the programs support this? Am I just doing something wrong?
So far I have tried IM+, Palringo, Agile, Beejive and Octro.
None seem to do what I wanted.
I don't mind paying for an app that will do this.

[SOLVED] Some messenger contacts appear offline

Dear all,
I have this issue with my Mango on HTC Titan.
Some of my Windows Live Messenger contacts always appear offline in the "online" page of the messaging hub. I know they are online on Windows Live Messenger, and I see them online if I use my pc.
Even stranger, if I try to send them a message, by forcing "Messenger" in the chat page (even if the phone claims the contact is offline), the message gets delivered to the contact's Messenger client immediately.
Also, the contact does see me online. It's basically like if the contact is in "invisible" status, but just for my phone.
Note that it happen with *some* of my Windows Live contacts, not all of them!
Did anyone experience the same issue? Any ideas?

I found the solution.
Basically the contacts who were always invisible to me on the phone, were those in which I had ticked (involuntarily) "Limit XXX's access" on their page on the address book at people.live.com.
I still don't understand why, if I limit a contact's access, I can't see him online from the phone, while he can still see me online. At least vice-versa would make a bit of sense.
Hope this can help anybody with the same issue.
