I've upgraded the Treo 750v (Vodafone) into Windows Mobile 6.
I can use the Windows Live email without any problem at all, and so if I sign-in with the Messenger built-in.
But everytime after I sign-in into Messenger and tried to add a new contact, the Messenger just won't do anything even though I've entered the correct email address.
For example: I wrote "[email protected]" and cilck the 'Ok" button, nothing happen and the screen still at the add new contact window.
If I wrote 'somone_name" (without @hotmail.com), Messenger could say that was not the correct email address...
What gives? Is something wrong with my Messenger?
For further informations, I've already put the email address I wish to add into every contacts name in the Windows Mobile contacts phonebook...
Anyone can help me out?

I've had a quick search and I can't find anything related to this problem of mine so here goes:
What's the deal with Windows Live and Outlook synchronisation? This seems to be a useless implementation and it's completely ruined the phone for me.
One of the reasons I have a Windows Mobile phone is so that I can manage all my contacts in Outlook 2007 at home and sync them with Outlook 2003 at work.
I keep my msn contacts seperate from these contacts, as I don't have MSN at work and I have lots of contacts on msn whose phone numbers I don't have.
Suddenly with this new version of Windows Live I have a choice of either not using messenger and keeping my contacts clean, or signing in and having it copy all my msn contacts into pocket Outlook so they appear when I load contacts on my phone.
It seems to be duplicating all my contact information (I had some contacts in MSN as I use hotmail at home) and there's no way to merge them. If I delete the contact with the msn logo, it disappears from messenger with no way to get it back (on the phone). If I delete the other one, it removes it from outlook.
Does anyone know of a way to merge the live contacts with outlook properly (i.e. not just by ticking that box in the options)?
The only way to get my contacts back to normal after Windows Live messes them up is to switch user in Windows Live and restore my contacts from my SPB Backup.
This is really frustrating me and I am shocked that Microsoft are still releasing such poor products to market

If you delete the msn contact and than get on the outlook contact, press menu press, "To Windows Live" and than take option "both", and use the email thats of you're contact msn account. now it will be merged.

Hello guy, i've installed WLM in my kaiser but when i try to go online i receive the message "all your windows live contacs will be added to your SIM or Phone Contact list".
In the past i've found a WLM CAB that work without this terrible feature. Anyone can help me. I've about 100 people contact in MSN adn i won't add in my phone contact list.

Hello everyone, i have a issue with my windows live messenger, i have wm6 standard, basically every time i try to sign in on messenger, as message appears and says
"Signing in to Messenger will add your Windows Live Contacts to your phone's address book. Do you wish to continue?"
If i continue it ends up copying all my contacts in my address book and i don't want that to happen. Is there any way to bypass/get rid of this option and sign into messenger without having to copy all my contacts in my address book?? i have checked the settings, and did not see any options. I prefer and want to use messenger and not any other client. Please help, its annoying. thanks

You should have clicked No. in the prompt when WLM asked whether you wanted to copy the contacts or not. But now I believe its too late. Unless ofcourse you want to go for clear storage .

Well, i searched many times, in google, and here about this, but nowhere i found a resonsable solution for this, that is not exactly a problem.
I have an HOTMAIL account, and a PT-EU rom (official) (abit old) and i have the live mail ( i believe that already came with ) and i receive emails normally.
SO where is the problem?
The problem is: I do not want to delete emails form the server. Just copy to my cellphone, then if i delete from it, the email keeps in the server.[/SIZE]
Everytime i sync with wifi, all deleted emails from my TOUCH PRO (T7272) are also deleted from the server (hotmail).
I have an outlook in my job that does that (in my house, i lost many days trying to configure... and still doing the same thing as my phone, deleting the messages from the server, even worse, couse delete after transfer to the computer...)
ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION?
I know for [email protected] there is @ setting to [email protected] PPop or something [email protected] keeps your [email protected] in the server when you delete it from cell. Sorry I'm no help
i use gmail and it just labels my e-mail as "deleted item" and then removes it from my inbox. but its still in there. check if its in another folder in hotmail.
How have you got your Hotmail account configured, I use my live (hotmail) email address on my phone, configured to get my emails using POP3, with the "Keep messages on the Server" box checked, knowing how you've got your phone configured would be helpful.

my configuration isnt by that type, and well, i think you just told me the sollution.
The way the thing is, is that i have program from microsoft, "live mail" that comes with messenger and some other things. I just needed to login into messenger to it configures my email to receive messages.
I will try to delete it, and try to configure by pop3

I'd like to refresh my contact list. I'd like to use Windows Contacts or Windows Live to sync them with my Mails (what would be included in Live) and my phone. I can add contacts in Windows Live, but I cannot add a picture to them But I can't add new contacts in Windows Contacts... Normally, there should be a button to add a new contact, but even if I press right click -> new -> contact I cannot ad another one. What did I do wrong?
Another problem is that I cannot get the contacts from my phone to my computer. How can I do that?
I do not use Microsof Outlook, so this solution is unfortunateley not the right fo me.

don't believe that activesync or vistas sync support anything but outlook
I would try to google alternativ sync programs to solve this if I were you
you may have to buy the sync program though
Think the Seven Beta program does sync of contacts with Windows Live. I know it is primarily and email delivery prog but as far as i can recall it also does sync betwee Windows live and your phone. Think it also does Google as well. I have never needed it for that as mine is all managed OTA with an Exchange server.
