Danish T9 - HTC Vox

Hey Guys!
Does anyone know where I can find a danish T9 for my Vox?
The Rom I'm using at the moment has it, but i'm planing to flash it in to an Rom i have found here on Xda-dev..
/Mnielsen

It's included in the New Guava kitchen, which includes a languagepack for danish. Works very well
I've only worked with this kitchen/rom, sticking with the strict step-by-step instructions, so don't know the inner workings of this.
I've included a danish t9 cab, think you can find instructions here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=323790
if it doesn't work right away (haven't used it myself and don't remember where I got it from...).
Which ROM are you flashing? There's no hassle w. New Guava, can def. recommend it

I'm thinking of this Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353037
Can I use the T9 in that Rom??

Ahh, that's the same rom I'm using, so it's pretty straightforward. Just
follow the instructions on how to install a languagepack near the bottom of the post u just referred to. You need to dl the Language Updater Kitchen and the Danish languagepack. But remember to follow the exact instructions!!
good luck , it's well worth it

Damnit I was just hoping that i didn't have to go in the kitchen to make it work
I'm a noob and the kitchen i very Scary thing for me :S *LOL*
Can the kitchen be decoded in to danish hehe?

i'm a bit of a noob myself But the step-by-step guide is well explained. If english is a bit tricky for you, that's a problem, but i'm not sure that's what u mean? It's a bit much to translate
Using the kitchen is not much more complicated than flashing a ready rom, if you can find and move files around on your computer. I'm afraid I might mess up your vox, if I tried to give you my half-baked danish rom You sorta need to know what's happening in the proces, or u might brick your phone :S

Easy now bro! Don't panic!!
Here's the scandinavian (NO,SE,DK) XT9, and a regular DK T9 (XT9 is much more advanced, but since you requested a T9 (older) here it is!

If i installe the XT9 Scandinavian version is that easyer to code in the Rom Dbase or will it be installed automaticly?

Dunno really, you just gotta read a bit i'm afraid and get your hands dirty! Good luck chump, it's not that difficult

I'll try thx boys

WM6 Crossbow English Edition with Simplified Chinese viewing. 30MB RAM free!

I have been using a WM6 Crossbow English Edition ROM (cooked by me) with Simplified Chinese (and Traditional Chinese and Japanese) viewing capabilities for over a month now. It's rock solid and stable. The best part is that after the flash, it still has 30MB RAM free!
This rom is a plain vanilla ROM with wince.nls replaced. New font sunfon.ac3 added. Everything is original either directly from Microsoft ROM or HTC addon. Maybe that's why it is rock solid and just works.
I generally use English and want a ROM that is minimally changed to enable occasional viewing of Chinese web sites.
I upload the rom and the kitchen I used to cook this rom. I hope any update you made can be shared here as well. Any suggestions (I am sure there will be plenty) are more than welcome.
. Download Windows Mobile Crossbow English Edition ROM with Simplified Chinese (and Traditional Chinese and Japanese) viewing capabilities from mobiletux.com
Note that I also included G4 SoftSPL Flash any ROM to CID locked G4 in the zip file so the phone warranty should be intact. You could certainly use your usual way of flashing the rom.
. Download Kitchen used to cook above rom from mobiletux.com
Note that this kitchen is a slight modificiation from theloon's "Official 318 WM6 kitchen". I claim no credit for any of the programs in the package. Quote from the thread: In the end I'm sure we all wanted WM6 but we wanted a stable version that didn't crash, lock up, and just plain ol' worked!
Also I don't know how to create a package that will replace WinCE.nls and add the font file and registry info. So the wince.nls was replaced with the new one, sunfont.ac3 and registry info were added via HTC Button 1.5. So please include HTC Button 1.5 when cooking your own rom. The original wince.nls was in the zip file at root for the reference as well (but not used).
No input method was included yet, because I haven't found a way to include the preferrably the original input method from a WM6 pro Chinese ROM.
How to create your own ROM: all you have to do is just run Start-V1.2.bat and follow the on-screen instructions.
Some screenshots for what the settings are when creating your own ROM.
I also included the original PDF instruction created by FARIA for description.

Really? I love to hear how you did that. With Chinese too?
When are you uploading this? I'm using CE-star now and it's working fine, but your 30megs memory thing is tempting.
I am uploading as I am posting this.

Cool, thanks. Is it possible to use penpower for Chinese input or I still need CE-star?
Part of the reasons to post this is that I don't know how to include a default input method. I am hoping to get a default Simplified Chinese input method from a rom instead of CE-Star.
Which build please?
Original WM6 Crossbow Edition build 318.

Thank you. So, No Chinese input, just view, right? Simple Chinese?
No input yet. You could view Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
I'll wait for a cab...
Tempting... but loving the speed of the latest ROMs...
Be sure to tell us if they make one based on the 19xx roms or create a cab...
Still no cab eh?
Anybody know if the wince.nls file can be replaced via a cab?
Just to reconfirm, the only changes made to the kitchen is the wince.nls, addition of the font and some registry settings? If someone can upload just the necessary files, maybe I can create a cab and see if it works. I'm currently using Loon's V8.1 kitchen and kinda lazy to dl an older kitchen just to get three files...
Has anybody had the chance to see if the font is compatible with all programs? The last time I used a font viewing cab, it changed the "/" to a "$" in Total Commander...

English ROM - Newbie

Hi Folks....ive been looking around the forums, and as my knowldge is rather miminual could someone hold my hand?
Ive just bought the tytn II (italian) and i want to change the OS language to English. With my limitated understadning, some of the roms ive seen are bundled with extras, is it posible just to install one section (i.e. the language) or is the language part and parcel of the complete rom?
I dont want to ask 'which is the best?', but could someone suggest a rom that isnt so bundled with extra tweaks?
Also, ive read somewhere that the phones arent locked...si this true or do i need to do a Hard spl like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334678
Thanks inadvance for your help.....im just nervous!!

Take it easy, use your Kaiser for some times and get used to it
meanwhile read all the stickies and search for some answers around this section and the Kaiser section.
Hard SPL is a must and its easy to be done
If you want a www rom; there are many verisons, the Shipped http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332246
or cooked ones, you can use Dutty's Hybird, its stable and fast.
Just take it easy
Thanks Taiseer...
I understand your point about using the phone a few times, but my italian is really bad, so i cant set it up as comprehensively as i would like...
I just thought that i would be better to get the language setup first, before i start to customise the phone

You didn't read and search!
And why didn't you continue the old thread? Oh boy...
Here's what you're looking for! Worked for me.
If it doesn't for you, read it again!
I only used those threads, never had a Treo before, and I own it for 3 days now.
If I can do it, you should be able to do it, too, except you are a retard.

Which rom should I use?

Hi, I use gonzos rom right now but the WiFi and the bluetooth doesnt work... And I am looking for something new.
The problem is that I'm a total newbie on this kind of things, and wondering if someone could just pick a rom that have working wifi & bt. There is so many roms to choose and I dont know which one is best
Another thing is that I want to have working swedish T9, right now it doesnt work with the rom I use.
Sorry if my english is bad,
Thank you very much

OMG, that was a really(!!) fast answer! Thank you, now I want to know why you think that rom is better than the others.
First of all you should know whether you want WM 6.0 or 6.1!
For 6.0 The only recommendation can be New Guava!
For 6.1 there are a lot of different ROMs.
There are "Lite" ROMs (e.g. the one tipu suggested, or mine (link is in the signature).
And there are normal ROMs (e.g. Dr. G's or others) and last but not least there are ROMs with the appearance of the new HTC Rose.
Clean Rom by Fireburned
I would also recommend the clean ROM 1.1 by fireburned. I am using it at the moment and it is extremely stable and I did not have any problem with it. Wifi, bluetooth all seems to work very well.
He might be working on a new version of the clean ROM and I am eagerly waiting for the new version.
Good luck on your search for a best ROM for you.
Thearif
The clean rom looks good. Can I get the black "rose"-theme?
Another question.. The T9cabfiles with swedish, is it a wordlist or just a keyboardmap? Because since the last time I flashed I had the orginal rom before, with swedish language.
I flashed it and tried to use te T9cab-file, and the keyboard worked with the swedish letters åäö but I had to make my own words to the wordlist, because there were not any words in it.
Thank you for the answers!
Can I install this call progres screen on a clean 6.1 rom?
Well the background - yes!
Otherwise no, I don't think so it's only an OEM Package, it's the so called Phone Canvas 2G.
I'll attach the package and you can try it out. The files all go into Windows and the reg settings are in the *.rgu (it's a hidden file)!
In your zip file there are two folders, should I put the content of these folders in win folder?
How to import the reg settings?
I've just flashed the clean rom now to try this.
Yes all of them go into the windows folder if you want to try it. Except the f1450213-7878-4129-b4c5-59bc4573fc58.rgu and f1450213-7878-4129-b4c5-59bc4573fc58.dsm and the 52f4613f-530b-415d-952b-f87fa98b9871.dsm and the mxipupdate_PACKAGE_Rose_PhoneCanvas_2G_0409.provxml! I am attaching a standard *.reg file for you, for which you need a registry editor for WinMo!
But as I said, I don't know if it'll work!
OK, I'll import the reg file but what to do with these files:
f1450213-7878-4129-b4c5-59bc4573fc58.rgu and f1450213-7878-4129-b4c5-59bc4573fc58.dsm
52f4613f-530b-415d-952b-f87fa98b9871.dsm
mxipupdate_PACKAGE_Rose_PhoneCanvas_2G_0409.provxml
Do nothing, you don't need them at all!
It is working 100%
It will be nice if someone can make a cab file with it.
THANKS!
I will. But not today!

So many cool roms, but so little in Dutch

Can someone tell me if it's easy to translate a WWE rom to NL? I have never cooked or something. The only thing i have ever translated myself was the actionscreen. So i have'nt any experience.
I wonder why there are that phew NL roms.

I don't know how to translate a ROM, but you should try a WWE ROM. You get used to it in days and solves many problems when installing software. A lot of software is made for WWE will sometimes not work in other languages. You have to change the MUI for that specific program. Manila2D is a good example.
Yup,
I really like to see an Hyperdragon rom or -G- rom in dutch.
And manila2d is also in Dutch. I've found (somewhere from here) dutch files for Manila2d. Just replace them and Voila.
Hey bijdehandje,
have you checked out this thread by merten.
Its unprotected and free to use .
Mayby you could use his kitchenfiles for kaiser and go from there.
This would eliminate the need for translation.
I know I, for one, would really welcome it if someone could pick this thread up where merten left it.
To Wizzard200x: Sounds good. In the meantime somebody on this forum offerd his help to build one. Maybe we can use the kitchen files of Metten.
Hopefully we can build a cool rom for the Dutch people over here who rahter use a dutch rom then a WWE. Would be great.
