so nothing new about wm6 & video call - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro ROM Development

plz boys try again. we Trust You

so there is no answers?

This is a subject discussed so many times.
No, there isn't any news and probably won't be.

Still working on it, but not so much time these days,
Hopefully I will have more of an update late Feb, hopefully with some incoming VC support, as you all know Leo and I have managed outgoing VC so far, incoming is not too far off from working properly.
As soon as we manage something stable and (somewhat) reliable (without having to SR between calls) we'll post a Rom for you all.
Cheers,
Beatsy

thanx beast i watting,

Faria WM6 ROM - vibrate on new message when in standby?

Anyone else having an issue with the Wizard not vibrating on receipt of a new e-mail when the device is on standby? Does anyone know if this is correctable with a tweak to the registry or somewhere else or if it's a bug in the OS files themselves? Does anyone on the MB or aRTM ROMs have this problem?
When the device/screen is on, I'll get a vibrate notice on new e-mails, but not when it's on standby.
I'm having no issues with anything else in this ROM and it's a keeper even if I don't get the vibrate working, but it sure would be nice to get that working.
Thanks.
-Pete
Gor to Start Settings, sounds and notifications. Tap the notifications tab. for event new email, check the vibrate box.

Yes, that's set. Everything works fine except when the device is on standby. If I'm actively using it or the screen is otherwise active, the device vibrates on new e-mail as expected. When it's on standby and I receive a new e-mail, nothing happens.

Ditto. I have the same prob. Sounds but no Vibe. BUT, Faria's ROM is so far THE BEST that I have used yet (and I've used a lot).
Well, good to know I'm not alone. I've said it before - I don't think this is a problem with Faria's build particularly, but more than likely something in the ROM/OS itself. I like everything else about the ROM and am not considering switching back at this point. It's just disappointing that this one feature doesn't work right now.
Still, if the WM6 release was actually a year ago, it could have just been a bug in WM at the time that has since been resolved. I know that WM5 1.18 had this issue and it was fixed in the 2.* releases. Hopefully this will be similar (and we'll actually be able to get the fix when it's GA).
-Pete
Same problem here, the Molski AKU 3.2 rom had the same problem, the AKU 2.3 was working. A lot of people got this problem, nobody knows what the problem is (even the official NL Tmobile rom got this problem)
This isn't unique to just Faria's WM6 ROM. I've tried both MBE and mUn's aRTM ROM and they both had the same problem. Push e-mail isn't as common yet as the old POP3 pull e-mail and I suspect that more people aren't reporting the problem because of that.
As was mentioned by others, I imagine this will be fixed in future releases of WM6 since it was an issue with earlier releases of WM5 and wasn't fixed until the AKU 2.* releases.
I know, but I still think it is strange that this problem keeps coming back. Isn't there anybody who knows how to fix this problem? That is one of the key features of WM and a lot of people want to use this feature.
(and yes, it will be fixed in the future but I want to know what the problem is )
I am having the same problem with MBE. Any Fix yet?

Dutty's hybrid - Issues with calls?

Moin' good folks.
First of all; i love this community! Just reading on here has helped me i ways i never though possible. But here comes a stopper.
The stopper i'm talking about is a bug/difficulty i'm having with the ROM i'm currently using and it appears when I recieve calls. Not always though. Just some times.
What happens:
1. After a soft reset, I can accept a call, but there's no sound at all. I can't hear people, people can't hear me.
Although, if I make a call, all works just fine, and after I've made the first call after a soft reset, incoming calls suddenly also start working like they're supposed to. In short; After a soft reset, i first have to make a call to someone, in order to get sound on incoming calls working.
2. Also, if someone calls me while I'm viewing the last incoming/missed/calls, the phone completely hangs up and i have to take out the battery to make it respond again.
Technical info:
Model: TyTN II (Norwegian version, no practical difference i believe)
ROM: Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 5.2.19716/5.2.19700 (Lightweight, and with working cleartype)
Radio: R 1.64.08.21 (Thanks corian!)
SPL: HardSPL V1
After having looked around for a while, I did find something about installing another radio software. might this be the solution here? If so, I'd be happy with a pointer to the right direction.
(I'm very sorry if I've ignored something very obvious or didn't find the right post prior to posting here. I'm relatively new here so please don't kill me.)
thanks in advance,
Bjornh.

Oh, congratulation mate. u hv break xda-developers rule. get ur (_)(_) ready.
Since it is your first post I won't flame you about not reading the very obvious. It is almost for sure your radio that needs changed. I don't which ROM you are using but if you look in the first 2 or 3 post Dutty will have recommended the radio for it. Here is the post with all the radio info read it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182
He even had an idea of what to do and rather than do it he thought a new thread was a more appropriate thing to do.
You are lucky to have been handled in such a gentle way by Tuah and msg1285. Now go flash a different radio and report back with your tail between your legs that all is well.
And read the Wikis and Stickies before you start your next thread. Welcome to the forum.

i-mate ultimate 9502 problem

Hi
I have i-mate ultimate 9502 and I often face a very annoying problem: The call stops or the voice of both me and the other caller sounds strange (scratchy-sqeeky- i dont really know how to describe it).
This happens when a notification pops-up when i am in a call.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

I have been notified about an incoming SMS whist on a call today. The SMS has been correctly announced on my earpiece, and the call has been kept stablished as it should. Nothing weird has happened.
I wonder whether you are running the official WM6.1 ROM from i-mate, like me, or not.
Just my 2 cents...
Cheers!
Carlos
Yes I am using the official WM6.1 ROM from imate.com. Anyway, i really appreciate your response, I will try to figure it out. I am concerned though from the imate's bad support. If they need 10 days to answer my mail message, imagine how long it will take to repair my phone if needed!
Anyways, any other help is more than welcome!
cheers

No call waiting beep. HTC Fuze WINMO 6.5

I have an HTC Fuze with a windows mobile 6.5 rom installed.
Well I have a call waiting the device does not trigger an audio alert. I therefore miss the call.
The phone does however turn on the backlight and display the incoming call but, as you can imagine, I am not looking at the device while I am speaking on the phone.
I checked sounds and notifications but did not see a "call waiting" event.
I have gotten everything else to work well but am considering going back to 6.1 if I can't resolve this issue. I am new to this world and appreciate your understanding.
Please Help
I'm having the same problem, did you find an answer?
I also have the same problem on the Feb 6th release of the Energy ROM. If you find an answer please post it. Thanks.

[HOTFIX][OFFICIAL] HTC SMS Hotfix

Just browsing the HTC site and they have just released what i'm guessing is the hotfix for the sms problems.
http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=0&dl_id=812
just about to apply the fix and see what difference if any it makes.
Great news...going to try it on.
Although I hate their hotfix description:
"This update for HTC HD2 messaging lets you reach out to your friends and family with instant notifications. Keeping in touch has always been very important, and this update delivers just that: fast and reliable SMS messaging."
If it fixes a bug, let us know about it! No need to use nice sentences made up by the PR department.
messaging still takes a second or two to load up if there's a lot of messages, not sure about the issues sending texts or receiving them, not tested that yet, although i didn't really have that problem with my hd2

haha... totally agree......
I just installed the hotfix. I haven't had problems with sending and recieving sms. But it couldn't hurt to try it out.
But I have a big problem, with the sms list loading. It makes the sms-application very hard to use. and it is still very hard to use, after the hotfix.
first a rom update..that doesn't solve the problem....
then a sms-hotfix..that doesn't fix the problem...
what's next?
did you just say that the sms fix doesn't deal with the loading lag ?
definitely does not fix the loading lag. sigh
WHAT THE HELL !!!
What where we waiting for ???! Now that's really pissing me off...
First, the ROM doesn't fix the crackling and noises during the voice call despite bragging about that crystal sound clarity... And now.. the SMS fix...
What did they fix exactly ?

I think this fix was never intended to fix the lag while loading sms history. I is meant to fix the "sms stays in outbox" bug. Hopefully it does at least that .
Certainly didn't fix mine.
I'm on the newer ROM turkish 1.61.
Would it do any harm to install anyway?
To help you guys a little, is more of a walkaround, but i noticed in lock screen if a message has been recieved and i do the ,,slide to view,, there is no lag at all, other than that, this fix doesn.t fix anything...at least i don.t see any change on my device
I don't know about you, guys, but this fix created many problems in my GPRS data connection, connecting and disconnecting all the time, stopping Direct Push. Everything went back to normal after uninstalling it.
are you saying that this fix doesn't work?! are there still problem with sending sms?!
Didn't fix the lag for me either, what a joke. That garbage PR line is a spit in the face too.
this fix is not for the sms lag
Who's on first, What's on second?
Guys - when you say "it didn't fix it for me" can you be more specific about WHAT it didn't fix and what it DID fix - people are referring to multiple problems: SMS lag and SMS sitting in Outbox so it's not clear reading this thread which problem is still outstanding for people.
If SMS's are still sitting in your outbox then that's clearly a major problem with the "hotfix". If it's SMS lag, well I guess we'll need to wait for the next "hotfix"
Well I have to say, with this device just being able to send/receive sms properly seems to be a good step forward already.... Is it confirmed this fix deals with the outbox stuck issue?
I am getting pissed with HTC daily - i still think they didn't test the HD2 properly!. Just rushed the phone out the door

Exactly. People need to take a step back and stop posting incoherent babble about how annoyed they are. Clearly it doesn't fix the lag so the people who had the SMS outbox issue need to confirm it fixes that. Personally, I have never had the problem so can't say.
EDIT - just found this in another thread. It seems it doesn't fix that either.

Ok I have confirmation:
This fix does *nothing* to fix the sending problem.
It's easy for me to see this because unlike other people the sending problem happens for me 100% of the time.
