ks20 + gapi - General Topics

Hi,
there is a known issue with the gapi drivers of the LG KS20 (almost no game works or benchmarks using GAPI). Is there any hack or new firmware which solves this problem?
It's a shame they release a mobile with such a bug. Who tested the mobile to see if everything works? kindergardenkids lol. I guess not, the first thing they would have do would be to play at least 1 game and would have recognize this issue.
regards,
Johnsen

it seem's there's no solution, so an appeal on all owner of the LG KS 20.
PLEASE CONTACT THE SUPPORT OF LG that this Mobile has bugs with Games or Applications using GAPI and has poor Direct Draw performance.
But remember to be nice to the Support-Team
and then hopefully they will soon release a new firmware update.
so long....

I recieved mail from service support:

Our freeware allows full security, unlimited calls and a time limit for each call.
This version have a big improvement regarding delay over poor line conditions, if you tested our system before, I think you will find that this current build in our site deserves attention.

Cesar Bremer Pinheiro.
Updating Price.
Continuing our tradition of best prices, quality and encryption, now we are selling at US$250.00 for all versions.
Dear Cesar,
Are you sure that BlackJack is a compatible device?
without going into too much of details, may i suggest that Samsung SGH-i60x handsets are out of luck to be supported by data call centric application.
BlackJack.
Dear. SecureGSM.
This equipment is working fine with my system and I appreciate it.
We tested it using the Samsung SGH-i321 here in Brazil. This equipment came with CSD V.110 non-transparent mode and can't be changed (until now we do not know how to change it).
We advise our customers about this detail, because the V.110 not always works where the V.32 is working.
Cheers.
Cesar.
Cesar,
I Was referring to SGH- i60x phones ( BlackJack), not to SGH-i32x.
sgh-i32x will be ok, but have one _MAJOR_ isue. I will send you more info via Private Messaging.
Sorry, i did not pay attention about your emphasis in the SGH-i60x BlackJack. In my site I refer only to the SGH-i32x model ( called BlackJack too).
Regards.
Cesar.

New version of my crypto phone.

I am releasing a new version of my crypto phone, now my site moved from raseac.com.br to http://www.secvoice.com.br
The secvoice brand is easier to remember and i think it is a good name.
This version have an improved performance over poor lines and have a very nice user interface. I tested it with Windows Mobile 6 with success, i think it will work with the HTC made equipments.
In my site I posted the current tested equipments, if you want to test it with new ones, please report to me.
I continue to deploy the freeware version, unlimited secure calls and a time limit of 75 seconds for each call. The encryption is ECDH Koblitz 571 bits and AES 256 bits CBC.
Have fun.
Cesar.
hi cesar,
impossible to get a socket connection,is it supposed to work with french phone services?
another question:
if i install it on my htc and i call a normal phone, how the handskate is created for send the key?
doest both phone have to have it installed?
best regards
Socket connection.
Dear Nocomp.
The system works with GSM-CSD (Circuit Switched Data). Will not work with GPRS.
Each user must use the same system to do secure calls.
Take care about using the V.110 protocol, the best protocol to use regardind broader connectivitity is the V.32, please see inside the Config folder in our equipment the CSD Line Type settings. Always use non-transparent mode.
Regards.
Cesar.

[*28/09/08*] Polaris Driver Fix // Qualcomm MSM7200

[Updatestatus in 2nd Post] >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1826283&postcount=2
[INFORMATION]
HTC has missed to include the necessary drivers needed for the Polaris to come to its full potential.
Handhelds affected are the Touch Cruise (POLARIS), TyTN II (KAISER), Touch Dual (NIKI) and the S730 (WINGS) etc., based on the MSM7200 and MSM7500 Qualcomm chipsets. The problem, however, isn't with the chips, but the missing drivers!!!
The engineers and technicians forgot to include the drivers. (That's ridiculous.) Or the company thinks consumers wouldn't notice.
[WHAT TO DO?]
- Contact HTC and let them know you are unhappy about these issues
- Contact your mobile service provider and let them know you are unhappy with these issues
- Contact support.ati.com , as they must have a driver for their own chipsets
- Make videos of the issues
- Sign the petition >> http://www.petitiononline.com/tytn2vid/ << (TYTN2 uses same chipset as POLARIS)
- Spread the word
- Write reviews
[STATUS]
HTC is aware of this problem and 'promised' a significantly performance-change in their WinMo 6.1 upgrade.
htcclassaction.org has successfully developed a 3D driver for the kaiser yet.
A port of these 3D drivers from the KAISER to the POLARIS are in progress by the Polaris Project P3D
>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426314 <<
**UPDATE**28/09/08
First release of the ported drivers, provided by the Polaris Project P3D

**UPDATE**25/09/08
A Port by The 'Polaris Project P3D' team has begun and they had a breakthorough to fix the scrolling. Neos2007 created a cab which will be posted out to all testers on this project.
An updated video from Neos2007 of the non scrolling 3D acceleration can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58PFxhIVeE0
A Cab file has been generated by Neos2007 for testing FOR the team - we will release a Public Beta after some testing.

Updated driver package again
Full documentation here:

These drivers require a Kaiser (TyTN II) and a ROM based on the official HTC WM 6.1 update! It is extremely unlikely that these files will work out-of-the-box on the Polaris (at this time).

CRY!
and then get angry!!!
htc must be retarded. its all about attitude in my book, and their attitude stinks
And try to get well motivated support personnel, well trained and informed... You'll be looking for a long time...
Signed the petition.
But I have to admit - the route demo on my device runs smoothly. Maybe not as smooth as on the Magician (cannot really compare), but is faster than the Kaiser on the youtube video. My old Prophet performs as the Kaiser on the video...
Complaint sent.
And also, can anyone give me a link for Qualcomm MSM7200 chipset. But please on Qualcomm website...

got my polaris today, and yeah - dissappointingly coreplayer video is really choppy.
I set the video output mode from direct draw to raw direct buffer and it now plays anything fine.
everyone probably knows that, but i didnt. i guess it makes things less of a b*stard?!

It looks like they have this problem in court, so they removed all the information... I don't think writing to webmaster is going to fix anything...

HTC Helpdesk and GPS Issues

After a weekend in an unfamiliar city trying to navigate using my Touch Pro and CoPilot Live for HTC Diamond edition, and with the device failing to update the route or updating the route 30 seconds after passing a junction rendering it completely unusable I decided to go the official HTC route.
Monday was an email from the HTC site.
I had two responses, one telling me that my English email query was in a foreign language and technical queries could only be submitted in English . . .
The second providing me with a link to the HTC Contact numbers page from their website telling me to call in as the problem requires further diagnoses.
Without boring you with a very long story and 3 days making various phone calls to HTC, the outcome is pretty much as follows;
- There are no known issues with the Touch Pro GPS within the HTC Wiki, FAQ or Knowledgebase tool used by the Helpdesk.
- I had 3 different suggestions on setting up the GPS manually - using different COM ports and baud rates.
- I was told that CoPilot Live for HTC Diamond won't work on a Touch Pro
- I was advised to setup the GPS using Tom Tom 7, and then use the satnav software of my choice.
- I could if I wanted to, update the ROM with an official HTC ROM update released recently for Dutch Voda and T-Mob customers. This apparently fixes poor signal on the radio of these devices but does not impact the GPS functionality.
So the upshot is, I appear to be stuck ! I cannot purchase an official copy of TT7 as my device wasn't shipped with the TT7 "trial version". I have already tried using a TT7 cab file from this forum but it would not allow me to connect to TT Home and download offically purchased version 7 maps (I got a refund from TT), so I purchased CoPilot Live for HTC Diamond.
It has worked once successfully two months ago, but I have experienced issues ever since. No additional software or changes have been made on the device during this time.
Not quite sure what to do next really. . . . .

Hi..
How is the battery backup practically ?
thanks
how to upgrade this phone to wm6.5 friends?
thx.
is there any comment for C6625?
Comments on C6625
I am a new owner of a Samsung C6625.
First thing first the minuses:
- no touchscreen running an OS designed for touchscreens! most software are running but are unusable. Imagine a igo8 running and getting stuck in the main menu (frustrating)
- GPS has poor signal
- WM is standard
- community support for it is limited!
- no wifi
Pluses
+ no slide for keyboard
+ bussiness phone image.
Advice
Buy a normal touch screen phone something form HTC, Eten if you are lucy and don't have hardware problems then you have good mobile with great community support. I also have an older M700 Eten running WM6.5 that I will keep because the C6625 isn't able to replace it.
hello all,
i'm from indonesia,i've use this phone for quite sometimes.
its true that garmin XT works very nice in this device.and if you want to use free pushmail you might consider using SEVEN (its realtime pushmail, excellent).
someone posted about sms notifier,is it similar to sms ticker?cos if it is its already in the device,so you don't have to install third party softwares.
i found this device very handy, especially for backups.by simply using microsoft myphone, and my C6625 is on the internet!
for other applications,i think we can use any WM 6.1 softwares.heaps of it is on the net!^^
about upgrading to 6.5, i don't think C6625 will survive,or maybe if you push it,it'll explode because of the processor's limit.LOL

i think GPS signal depends on your location,so it doesn't count for the minuses of this device.CMIIW
The device is more than good, my best one-Hand Phone. I use it for months, GPS with Garmin is really nice. But now I look for the HTC ozone, Samsung Omnia B7330 or LG GW550, it just has something new here. Therefore, I sell my C6625 so if you have interest, just let me know.
