Hi,
Is there any terminal application for smartphone? I need to communicate with a BlueTooth device (supporting SPP, assigned COM port) using AT commands.
How will you input any text, does your smartphone have a keyboard or am I missing something?!
All smartphones have keypad and/or qwerty. There is no problem with text entry.
Anyway, I've already made my own application for serial port communication so I'm fine.

I want to remotely connect to my pc via terminal services client, but my pc listens on a non-default port. does anybody know how i can change the port to connect to from the client on my xda2i? unfortunately i can't change the listening port of my pc.
Thanks,
Allan
Found out how to do it!
Create a new DWORD registry key, in:
HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Terminal Server Client/Default
called
Server Port
and give it any value you need.
Hope it help someone else )

I am using the O2 Atom and would like to use the built in TS client to connect to some servers. Unfortunately, for security reasons, the TS port numbers are non standard.
How do I change the default TSC port numbers?
The servers use FIPS but I can lower this requirement if the WM5 client can't handle it.
Finally, currently Terminal services is allowed only through a VPN can I use VPN with the built-in client?
I've configured VPN for POP3 but don't seem to be able to get it to work with the TS client.
default port is 3389, if for example you connect to 192.168.1.1, in terminal server client you just add the ip address 192.168.1.1 and click connect, if the default port has changed to for example 7878, you would now type in the server address 192.168.1.1:7878

Thanks for the reply ... but I think it doesn't work like XP or any of the other Desktop Terminal Services Client.
If I type 10.1.1.1:1234 for example to connect to port 1234 on Terminal server 10.1.1.1 I will get a server not found error .... seems the Built-in Terminal services client doesn't understand the "ort" syntax.
This is infact the syntax I have been using from my XP but Can't use ip on the Atom.
Anyone done this before ?

Hi all,
I am looking for two softwares (or approach) in which I hope someone had developed or able to point me to.
1) Bluetooth connectivity software. We can pair our BT A2DP headset to the device but it's a bit of a hassle to connect to it. Basically I need to go through the connectivity application and tap-hold, select wireless headset to connect. Are there any softwares or command parameters in which are able to do the connection immediately ?
2) There is this "ringtone" section in all the new WM5 outlook contacts. Are there any applications (or anyway) to assign a ringtone to a whole outlook group and it will change all the "ringtone" section of the contacts within the group ? The 3rd party applications in the market basically lurks behind as process and I am not really keen on such approach.
Any feedback is most welcome. Thanks
Hello,
I need to use my smartphone (Tornado Qtek 8300 WM 5.0) to send SMSs from my PC using a commandline, like: SENDSMS <PHONE NUMBER><TEXT>.
The need for a commandline is because I will integrate it with another piece of software I have, and would like to send notifications using SMS.
I have seen many apps to do this but for not for windows mobile smartphones.
Also, I have seen that there is an application for smartphones called mDesktop, very good, but to send SMSs you have to use the app itself, not a command line.
Thank you very much for your help.

well, the problem is with the command line.
Even Active sync remote display works fine (on screen display of ur smartphone)
you can quickly type SMS by means of ur pc keyboard.
Get Active Sync Remote display from Microsoft Website and it works even more better (no hastle of command line tho)
can somebody tell me how to enable alphanumeric passwords on my windows phone 7.5. I only find the possibility to use numeric passcodes. With the mango update the use of alphanumeric passcodes are possible. Is this only possible for use in an enterprise (via policy) or is there even a registry key (which I suppose)?
if yes, please name the reg key!
