ok i have two phones, the att 8525 with tnt rom on it, and i gotta att tilt with dutty's latest rom. i use the internet sharing a lot, and for some reason my 8525 is waaay faster then my tilt, can anyone help me solve this issue???

ok, what i mean is that, for some reason, when i connect my cingular 8525 to my laptop for internet sharing, the speed of the connection is as fast as dsl, and when i connect my att tilt and i use the internet sharing, the speed of the connection is as slow as dial up.

do they each have a different sim card in then or are you swapping them? is the proxy enabled or disabled? what network do they indicate (i.e. E, 3G, H)? are they both in the same location when testing, etc....
if you want more help give as much info as possible...
different sim cards,att tilt connects to MEdia net, and yes they both in the same locations the att tilt has the 3g simbol and the att 8525 has the H simbol, but only when im on the internet sharing, when i disconnect it it goes back to 3g

so already you have several different variables that could be causing it. first is the difference from 3G to H. if the tilt isnt truly picking up H then your not going to be even anywhere close in speeds. 2nd you might be slowed down by different data connections, etc.. i would also try swapping sim cards and try each phone out to see if you get the same results. also the radio that is on the tilt could be causing issues also. Some radios have faster speeds whereas others do not, etc... There is probably not going to be 1 magical answer here to solve your problem.
so is there a way that i can make my tilt pick up that H? or if you know, what rom or radio do you reccomend me for that.

search for an app called KaiserTweak.
And radios performance seem to vary depending on your location.. so just because one radio works for me doesnt mean its going to work for you. The best thing i can suggest is to just experiment till you find your sweet spot.
you definately need to enable your H... if that doesnt' work try a different radio.

there are many roms around here, its all a matter of trial and error to find the ones that work best for you!
the rom i installed came with a app that says to turn the hspd something like that switch on? is that it?

H is HSDPA.... essentially its faster than 3G, some call it 3.5G
Its not available in all of ATT markets

iv got a SE x1 which makes a great modem for my laptop .. im using it now.. but the issue i have is on o2 i get a 500mb d/l limit per month, iv just brought a MBB dongle on voda .. the dongle is exceptionally poor, the dl is .24mbps and u/l .06
what i want to do is pop the voda sim in my x1 because i get speeds of 1-2 mbps u/l and d/l on my x1 ..
1st q is can i use a dongle sim card in my x1 and connect to the net ect? (iv put it in, picks up signal ect)

Don't see why not, I have done similar with a 3 broadband dongle SIM card. It surfs just fine in my Xperia.
Not sure about using it as a modem though.

iv been using it as a modem for a while now .. just by connecting it to my laptop and going on internet sharing ..works a treat .......ON O2
i cannot connect at all, it wont dial the APN for voda
I'm not sure if this question was asked or not, but my friend upgraded my HTC diamond from 6.1.1 to 6.5...
Its soo sexy, but I dont have any internet connection. I can only use wifi and My ISP is blank...
I dont know wtf happened but I want to use my internet on the road...
Please help...

Currently i'm using HTC HD2 which i'm using more for Internet access & router when i'm at home,Due to HD2 is not comfortable for me to do typing during driving,i'm planning to buy 1 Htc Snap but b4 i take that decision to buy,could anyone let me know :-
01) is it have the Wifi Router function?
02)Is it have support 3g / HSDPA signal?

ok so my mum wants to get 3g when she is out ive seen these mifi thing just they dont put them in lamens terms aha, want to be sure before i get one, so on amazon you can buy a simcard with 3gb data on, and also i already have a 3 dongle, is there a device i can put into the dongle that puts out a wifi signal so my mum can connect to it in the car ect?
