I have to say, great work on keeping up with the newest and latest versions of programs and the core OS. I do have a problem using this radio version with the latest ROM sets that people are developing.
I've tried all the radio versions released so far and I get the best signal reception/data rates using 1.27.14.09. However, using this version with the newest and latest ROMs breaks the sound/camera, as many others have encountered.
Is there a way to develop ROM sets, compatible with the latest radio versions as well?
If someone can point me in the right direction, I'll try and cook my own ROM based off a newer one already out there today.
I believe the last ROM that worked with this radio was Dutty's TouchFlo AT&T beta 2.
*Bump?* Anyone have feedback?

I have both standard and AT&T Tilt versions of my ROM. The latter uses the 1.27.14.09 radio. Look for other ROMs that talk about a "Tilt" version. Also if you look at my wiki (signature) check the links that talk about the radio versions...the gentleman that maintains that thread keeps a list of ROMs that are compatible.

Dutty, Alex, Quentin, Kyphur, XDA-live, and others. I've tried them all and they work fine. I'm currently running Quentin Mobile v1.2 and I use radio 1.27.14.07 as I find it works best for me when compared to the other radios. Give it a shot.

Can anyone provide O2 XDA FLAME ROM? ?
I can. But for doing what? And how to do it?
Can you share? I want to upgrade my system @@
the rom of the Flame works only on the Flame. And I think that all have the same rom, because the device is quite new. What is the version of you rom? are you sure you have a Flame?
FYI, my ROM:
ROM Version: WWE_RC1070309
Bootloader Version: V2.2C601
GSM Version: P6A2
extROM Version: WWE_RM_070516
RIL Version: v08.60
Dunno what he wants with this ROM.
But older ROMs for the Flame apparently exist.
Here is O2's Official site for ROM updates.
However, there are no official XDA Flame updates available yet.
I am registered, and will get notified as soon as there are updates.
Since there have apparently been earlier versions of the radio and extended roms released, this might explain part of sam888888's request.
However, I don't see all that much that can be gained by such a small upgrade at this point.
It is not uncommon for there to be minor changes in software between releases, without any official announcement. Therefore the Flames released in one country might have ROMs slightly different from Flames released in another country, without there being any official upgrade path.
The differences in ROM versions could just be localizations.
It would help if the sam888888 specified:
His current ROM versions (Settings/System/Device Information/Version).
His reasons for wanting a newer version (e.g. particular features added or problems addressed).
Thank for the information that everybody offers
Hope that if there is information that ROM upgrades and can be let me know
Thanks

I've got the same as you - mine was purchased about 6 weeks ago in Hong Kong - wonder why ours is different than the others?
Where is the flame / Ultimate forums / WIKI entries
Why is there no Flame forum? By the way does anyone know who manufactures this ie HTC or who manufactures the Ultimate up & coming series?

Canadian Carrier Rogers Official Twitter response:
The HTC Magic will be upgradable to 2.1 by mid-year.

Considering how late Rogers pushed Sense UI to the Magic (3 whole months late), expect other carriers to get it either before mid-year or mid-year at the latest.
If not I full expect this ROM to be flashable via goldcard on all current 32A Magics.
Mods move if you want since this isn't really development per say
That info is on Rogers site for ages
Good for Rogers! Also wish HTC give more surprise for us.
Yes but this time this news is not through 3rd party sources. More legit.

why goldcard>? if its perfect spl there is no unlock
for 2.1 its flashable on any rooted magic

Yeah flashable now with broken drivers. Official release means official drivers and working OpenGL. And GoldCard means, people with perfect SPL (aka 911 Fix) will be able to root their phones finally. I'd be one of those people. When Robbers sent me my free HTC Magic+ it had the 911 fix on it pre-installed. Need to get out of here fast!
As for the news, this was released on their twitter a while ago. And after that, HTC confirmed it on their twitter.
Goldcard is needed only to bypass the carrier CID check for people who are on different carriers have a different CID. If you already have a Rogers phone, you will not likely need a goldcard to upgrade your ROM.

Why bother? If HTC releases 2.1 for magic it will probably more stable than any custom rom out there? Any android version above 2.1 will probably require better hardware anyways, if you're looking at doing custom roms on your magic in the future..
Midyear seems about right, check the leaked HTC Hero Android 2.1 Update Schedule below:
Code:
HTC EU (Nordic/Greek/RUS/UKR/SA) [B]2010/4/2[/B]
TMO – UK TMO [B]2010/4/16[/B]
SFR signature Orange [B]2010/4/22[/B]
HTC BE HTC [B]2010/5/4[/B]
TMO – PL TMO [B]2010/5/10[/B]
Note that this is Hero only, and 2.1 arrives the earliest beginning next month (April). I'm betting the Magic release will not be much later.
Here's hoping for a 2010/06/04 release!
Gotta say even though I probably won't flash the stock rom it's still good news. It means they'll fix the wifi/ bluetooth and camera drivers and somebody will yank em out and put em in a cooked rom. Good times

We already have OpenGL working perfectly on 32A both old and new radio.
Sorry about all this, but I have some questions that hopefully someone can help me out with.
First, is there a thread somewhere that has all the available usable radios? I ask because I noticed that a lot of these roms state that you should use a specific radio for their roms?
Will flashing a new radio every time you flash a new rom break something...like gps, data etc.?
Also is the current stock radio listed anywhere?
My radio is listed as : 12.39.60.19P_26.06.04.06_M ... is that this the current stock radio?
Thanks

1. Yes currently it resides in the Desire HD section, because these phones are virtually the same with a few exceptions. I will post the link as soon as I find it.
2. the possiblity is there but to my knowledge this isn't a general problem.
3. Yes it is listed and if I remember correctly it is the stock radio.

I'm a bit curious...
My radio is listed as 12.39.60.19U_26.06.04.06_M (since I've used the hack kit with provided radio).
What is the difference between the P and the U at the end of the baseband model number?
Thank you for the radio thread think, that's excellent.

I've seen this a lot around this forum. It seems people get either U or P when flashing the stock radio. Even more interesting, when I flash back to stock with the RUU I get an H. The MD5 of the radio in both the RUU and the hack kit are the same though, so I've been curious how we get different revisions of the "stock" radio?
Hmmmm....That is interesting...
I used the attn1 hack and twopumpchump's v1 ROM and my radio is the P also. I wonder if there is any differences in the radios due to the H, P, or U codes .
Maybe that is why some people have problems with their GPS working with the different ROMs and others with the exact same ROMs don't have any GPS problems......Hmmmmm......

I have a unlocked S4 HTC One S here in Ottawa, Canada. Using it with Mobilicity.
I am having major connectivity issues, dropping out of WiFi & 3G data all the time. Heard that an updated RUU radio might help.
I have looked all over this site, but I still have no idea which one I should be using, or where to find it.
Any help?
depending on your h-boot you might be able to flash zip radio only, without need for a ruu
try 1.06es radio, most people had good results with it
Thanks, but I was not asking how to, I can't seem to find any of the files that I need, or which version, which you just answered.

Thanks for the answer, but once again, that says for 1.13 or lower.
for hboot>1.13 the only way to upgrade radio without running a RUU is to flash a CM based ROM, and the radio would be updated to latest used by them, I guess now is 1.08ts

I'm looking for a current download link for the latest available (and flashable) radio firmware, and a guide to installing just that - my home PC is a Linux Mint box.
If anyone has a better suggestion, please feel free to make it (other than wipe the caches from Recovery, reinstall the same ROM). Constant connection dropping is becoming frustrating.
A separate question -why do I need Magisk - what is its function relating to this ROM and does the ROM stop working without it?
Thanks,
Stuart
The One S doesn't support 4G/LTE. The fastest connection you can get with it is H+/HSPA+ (in some countries called 3.5G or 3G+).
You're already using the latest firmware files. Reflashing them most likely won't make a difference. Have you tested other roms? If Wifi and your mobile data connection work with them then it's a RR-related problem. The so called "data drop" was a quite common issue on older custom roms that weren't based on the One S's stock rom. The reason is (like for all phones that get shipped with different android flavours than vanilla android) that the custom rom devs can't use the OEM's proprietary codes which would be needed for using the hardware properly. It's the same reason for the camera being on custom roms so much worse than on stock rom on such devices.
The answer to your Magisk question depends on the question whether you need root or not. Like SuperSU (which was more commonly used in the past) it's a root app. LOS works perfectly fine without it.
Thanks for the reply, Flippy.
I was aware of the HSPA, I just forgot and wrote 3G/4G out of habit
Am I correct in thinking that the last 'stock' ROM for this phone was KitKat?
I was on Lineage after CM died, but there was an overheating issue which made me switch to RR. There was a certain amount of glitchiness, but it seems worse now. I did update to 1.35 and took the WCNSS and ADSP update at the same time. Seems a little bit better - but only a little bit.
On a personal note - which do you rate at the moment - RR or LO/S? Or any others?
Thanks.

The last official android version was 4.1 (firmware 3.x aka hboot 2.15). ? There's only the semi-official firmware 4.x (aka boot 2.16) based on Android 4.2 and leaked by llabtoofer that's newer than that.
Radio 1.35 and the corresponding Wi-Fi files are ported from a different HTC device (I always forget which one it is) and were only meant as a temporary fix for bilal_liberty's rom ports. They were never meant to be used with other roms and after the issues his ports suffered from got fixed he recommended not using these temporary fixes, anymore.
I personally use LOS. But my choice is only based on the fact that RR didn't exist when I switched to android 7 on the One S and that I'm too lazy, nowadays, to switch between roms every couple of weeks. The One S isn't my main device, anymore. I just want it to work in case I need a backup device.
