I have a unlocked S4 HTC One S here in Ottawa, Canada. Using it with Mobilicity.
I am having major connectivity issues, dropping out of WiFi & 3G data all the time. Heard that an updated RUU radio might help.
I have looked all over this site, but I still have no idea which one I should be using, or where to find it.
Any help?
depending on your h-boot you might be able to flash zip radio only, without need for a ruu
try 1.06es radio, most people had good results with it
Thanks, but I was not asking how to, I can't seem to find any of the files that I need, or which version, which you just answered.

I have HBOOT 1.14, and that link says 1.13 or lower only. Also, I have the RADIO listed in that thread.
Is there not a newer ones available?

Thanks for the answer, but once again, that says for 1.13 or lower.
for hboot>1.13 the only way to upgrade radio without running a RUU is to flash a CM based ROM, and the radio would be updated to latest used by them, I guess now is 1.08ts

Hello there!
I'm running RC9 1.41 (For UK) and I read that I need to manually flash the radio aswell.
Just wondering if anyone could let me know how I do this and I can't seem to find any instructions relating to this.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

simply download the radio updates and update as you normally would.
You can find answers here http://www.htc.com/www/support/android/adp.html

radio rom ?
are the radio roms different for the US & UK handsets?
bhang
Sorry about all this, but I have some questions that hopefully someone can help me out with.
First, is there a thread somewhere that has all the available usable radios? I ask because I noticed that a lot of these roms state that you should use a specific radio for their roms?
Will flashing a new radio every time you flash a new rom break something...like gps, data etc.?
Also is the current stock radio listed anywhere?
My radio is listed as : 12.39.60.19P_26.06.04.06_M ... is that this the current stock radio?
Thanks

1. Yes currently it resides in the Desire HD section, because these phones are virtually the same with a few exceptions. I will post the link as soon as I find it.
2. the possiblity is there but to my knowledge this isn't a general problem.
3. Yes it is listed and if I remember correctly it is the stock radio.

I'm a bit curious...
My radio is listed as 12.39.60.19U_26.06.04.06_M (since I've used the hack kit with provided radio).
What is the difference between the P and the U at the end of the baseband model number?
Thank you for the radio thread think, that's excellent.

I've seen this a lot around this forum. It seems people get either U or P when flashing the stock radio. Even more interesting, when I flash back to stock with the RUU I get an H. The MD5 of the radio in both the RUU and the hack kit are the same though, so I've been curious how we get different revisions of the "stock" radio?
Hmmmm....That is interesting...
I used the attn1 hack and twopumpchump's v1 ROM and my radio is the P also. I wonder if there is any differences in the radios due to the H, P, or U codes .
Maybe that is why some people have problems with their GPS working with the different ROMs and others with the exact same ROMs don't have any GPS problems......Hmmmmm......

Did you super cid? I believe doing so would keep carrier updates from being sent to your device.
ok, thanks pal
maybe you know, where can i find newest official htc rom?
i'll try supercid and htc rom after that

Sorry... I think you misunderstood me. I was asking if you were already super cid'ed. Because if you were, that would explain why you were not receiving system updates from your carrier.
Setting your CID to super CID will not help you in this matter.
Ok, now undersdand.
I'm not sure did i replace cid or not.
How to check my current cid?
And finally how to rollback original cid. I'm in o2 uk

Here is how I know to check the CID on your device (and a lot of other details):
Code:
adb shell cat /proc/cmdline
That should result in a lot of text on your terminal. You want to find the value that follows: "androidboot.cid="
If you are super CID, it will be a bunch of ones (like 1111111) and nothing else.
I'll get back to you on the thread for a list of valid CIDs.
Thanks a lot.

Here is the thread that provides the most help for what you're trying to accomplish (at least from what I assume).
In it there is a mention of another thread where CIDs are being collected.
hth...
i can confirm that i had cid 1111111 in my phone.
i changed it first time for valid o2 cid but still not got any updates, then replaced for htc cid but still any updates got.
btw i'm sure, htc has released 2.3.4 for my device, and i'm stuck by 2.3.3
ok, last question
where can i find not branded, latest original htc rom?

I think this is the best there is for finding stock ROMs.
There is a FileFactory link in the 1st post (or right here) for a grip of RUU files. Those will contain the original distributions from the various carriers.
I wish I was able to point you to the correct one, but I really have no idea.
Happy New Year!
Today I have received "OTA_PYRAMID_ICS_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.33.707.6-3.32.707.10_R_release_2684698ewtqgf8g6f4oj12.zip" for my sensation.....
My CID is 044.
Is there any RRU rom for this latest version?

I also got the update. It is about 50+ MB. The only thing I noticed is that it no longer does the android is updating thing when I turn on my phone and it now says "Developer options" in settings. I have not noticed anything else significant with the update.
Ok, i did some searching and found that they basically have brought Asia WWE to the same level as Europe, India and other countries. So basically, its same as what others are having. You will be having a new radio and RIL, spelling bugs correction, a bit improved video decoding and few bug fixes.
I was thinking on moving to the Asia WWE ROM but now i guess i dont have to.
I found European version has one extra library file libWVphoneAPI.so. Do you know the purpose of this file? Checked in Google but not clear about their info.
Hey guys.
I am searching for other RADIO's for my HTC ONE S S4 and my one for backup use if the One XL radio don not work.
I had problems with the candy5 ROM, other Lollipop ROM's and the OPO-4.4.4 rom. All has no or only sometimes a mobile-connection.
I would like to test if another radio can fix this but many files are down
Perhaps anybody can tell me how to extract my currecnt radio from OTA_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_301852xf01hejl416oev96.zip fur backup purposes.
I need some radio like the ONE-XL RADIO 1.35a.32.45.27 ported from here, wich simply flashable from TWRP or other recoverys.
I really wanna try this radio but I need my current radio as backup...
You be free to upload some radio's in this thread, cos many many radios are just down.
Found also this one here but I had no acc there.
Hope to got some answears from you.
THX.

I try 1.20 and the 1.3X from the One XL.
Any ideas?
