When was this found out/announced?
Is it any different from the stock 2.2.1 SBF (UK version) found on and-developers?
If anyone gets their hands on this build please post a screenshot of the About screen.
Not sure how to do screenshot ?
Build number SHOLS_U205.26.0
Kernel version 2.6.32.9-gafbfc43

Oh ok, my bad.
This is the same version which is on and-developers.. it was announced few months back as far as I know.
It also uses the older kernel. Newest official kernel is the Arabic/African one. You can check this out in the kernel collection thread.
Motorola started rolling out the Froyo update in stages. This might've showed up only now.
Rom in general
used this for 24 hours now battery life better than most other roms and it must be said uk version must have been polished in some way over german release or aisia.no fc's so must be great for stock foyo rom
That said missing miui so going back to that
I've also uploaded a couple of days ago this rom up on my moto.Clean install from 2.1 and works very well.
Battery life on that ROM is unacceptable.
Did update from stock UK eclair and i have to say 2.1 was far battery friendly..

Funny I got this version months ago from the Motorola UK site sitting here in Bangladesh and I updated via the update tool provided by Motorola.
The only difference I see here is that my build number is SHOLS_U2_05.26.0.

i have tried this on the trophy and it causes reboots and over heats the phone highly unstable
would you check please if you can find something newer or pre nodo rom for verizon trophy thanks in advance?
yep. found out the hard way. couldn't flash the ansar rom after this too. so i sent it back for warranty. let see what happens.
Does this enable us to developer unlock our device and flash back to the stock ROM?
Sent from my mwp6985 / Trophy using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
nope it looks more like the rom that htc or verizon used to demo the unit because it loads adverstisment of the device on standby
but not for every day use sucks big time
zune cannot read the software version
even tried the windows support tool and does not recognize it
Well without a viable Verizon ROM..Am I stuck in with no options?

Anyone able to help? This is XDA...right?
...hopeful
i think we're gonna have to wait for a mango release. There should be a warning NOT to flash this rom. I shipped mine back to HTC/PCD and am still waiting for the phone to be returned.
I agree. We need a warning.
@ansar - please post additional warnings.
Guess, I'll tap some resources and get the beta.
thanks.
Mango Beta is out. Since this is not unlocked, and dont have a dev account..still stuck.
anyone have a Verizon backup so i can avoid sending back to warranty?

I'm wondering this too...
Hi all!
I may have some good news here shortly.
I've been able to get through the first few steps of the Mango beta update process.
Nothing certain yet, but the phone seems to be properly going through the steps with the demo rom.
Please let me know if you are interested in a step-by-step.
crossing fingers!

unfortunatly, the demo rom junk still comes back. 'ansar' said he will repost a new rom, but i haven't seen it yet.
if anyone can provide us with a base/stock rom, i will write up instructions on how to get to mango (7661) without being dev unlocked once i get there
thanks...ansar help..please find us a stock rom.

http://windowsphonehacker.com/articles/get_the_mango_update_now._without_being_a_developer.-06-30-11
What that article doesn't tell you is what version of Zune you need. If you've updated it, uninstall, then install zune from the official zune site. DO NOT WINDOWS UPDATE before you use this program. Plus in the phone, run the Update program, it'll do the rest.
Once it's done, open your phone in the zune software, and check for Device update (not zune software), it'll update to a newer version. Once that first phone update is done, check again, and THATS the Mango beta. The Mango beta will take around 40 minutes and appear unresponsive at times, so be patient.
Enjoy! I absolutely LOVE Mango so far, even though most apps dont multitask yet.

ansar,

there are several of us that attepted this and now have 'unusable' Trophy. Can you please help and provide us a ROM we can use?
thanks!

Hi Football,
Is there any chance you could whip up a ROM for Vodafone New Zealand?
Hi,
I have an Orange UK branded Samsung Omnia 7 Windows Phone 7.
Currently the phone is at:
OS Version: 7.10.7740.16
Firmware Revision Number: 0222.11.8.5
Hardware revision number: 3.15.0.4
Radio Software Version: 2424.11.7.2
Radio Hardware Version: 0.0.0.800
Bootloader version: 5.8.1.9
Chip SOC Version: 0.36.2.0
I would like to update the phone to Update 7.10.8773.98.
I would rather this happened via a push from Orange, but this does not seem to be happening... I have two questions.
1.. Has Orange UK pushed the 8773 update to the Omnia 7? (if so why do I not have it yet)
2.. How can I update it to 8773 update? - Manually or force an update from Orange..
Kind Regards
Bob.
Hi
I'm in exactly the same situation (same versions of everything above) and have tried to get the answer from Orange UK. I first tried about 2 months ago. Spoke to a few different people at Orange but none of them were much help. One of them even claimed that updates were nothing to do with Orange and they had no control over it! I also tried their email\online form help a few months ago. Incredibly it lets you fill in your question and details and submit them and then tells you it's broken. I tried it again yesterday and got the same result. Why do they not just take it down!. Also yesterday I posted the same question on @OrangeHelpers on Twitter and I'm still waiting for a proper answer. Perhaps if you follow up my Twitter post we can get some movement (look for tweet by @PhantomMPV)?
Cheers
Mike
Hell!
Please someone develop any method for Samsung omnia M to Jialbreak/Unlock it as i couldn't fine any method yet to do so.
Name:SAMSUNG GT-S7530
Soft version: WP7.5
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
This version is preloaded from company so it can neither be restored to lower versions.
You didn't include the critical information, which is the firmware version, but it doesn't matter; any new Samsung phone will have blocks in place against the unlock methods that we used to use for them. The only current option is an official developer-unlock, and that still won't allow the use of high-privilege apps.
There are people working on a way to flash an older (oficial) firmware to the phone, which would allow you to downgrade to something compatible with the WindowBreak project for a free dev- and interop-unlock.
The criticle info:
OS version: 7.10.8773.98
Firm version: 2424.12.06.4
And if i choose to downgrade, how do i do it?
Reading, it is a fundamental skill.
The implication of my last sentence is that we don't yet have the ability to downgrade, merely that some people are working on it. I'd suggest going and looking at the device-specific forums for more info, although there was at least one thread on the subject on this forum a few months back.
Your firmware version is far, far too new to use WindowBreak. You need a firmware from 4 Nov 2011 or before.

Can you please provide its link!
Well, my phone has the following specs.
Baseband Version: MSM8626BP_1032.390.81.01P, TELUS_CUST (im guessing this means its a bit modified by telus aldo the phone is unlocked)
Build number KXB21.14-L1.50
My question is, if I change this rom to the US Stock retail rom, will I get OTA updates from the US builds?

Yes, if there is ever a problem you can also just come back here and download the ota update and just place it in the root of your sd card and then update like that.
Very well, in that case, i'll wait a few days to see if the update arrives, if it takes too long or I don't see any news about that, ill just change to official lollipop from US RETAIL, thank you for answer
