Hey guys. I have been looking for some good software for weeks now and have been unable to find one that I really like. So I figure that I might as well post up here since this is where I get all of my other information regarding my phone.
So this is what I am looking for:
I am looking for some type of CRM or Customer relationship management software for the Pocket PC. For those who dont know, this is essentially a piece of software that allows you to record customers, sales, phone calls made and received from customers, interest of customers, and personal information. It is primarily used to keep track of customers, leads and sales.
Ideally I would like some software that can be used on both regular windows as well as Pocket PC Windows. Meaning I can update or add customer information on either my laptop or my PPC and the 2 devices will synchronize and maintain the same information. However if that is not possible, something that just works on the PPC only is just fine. I really need it to be able to store customers, categorize them by where they came from I.E. who referred them, update contact information such as phone calls made and received as well as appointments set, and indicate when the customer has been sold or is no longer in the market or a hot prospect.

If anyone could recommend a CRM software for the pocket pc that is primarily sales based, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I really need to get something as the old pen and pad mentality is not quite as efficient as I would like and I figure its time to finally step into the new millennium with my sales tracking.

It'd be pretty rudementry, but might work. I know with the task manager, you can set a task, and then throw notes into it. You can then also set custom priority levels. Might be able to use this to your advantage. Use the priority levels to rank the lead (cold, warm, hot, wtf why isn't this closed yet, etc etc), notes for who refered them, and once you close the deal, you can check it off your list as completed.

Edit: Goes to show what happens when you leap before you look. You CAN set priorty levels to low, normal, and high, and then can set custom categories to help you sort them by. Good luck!

By the way the MIUI Phone.apk is able to geo-localize the calls, even if it works in China only (AFAIK)
I'm the developer for the phone creeper and will be launching the android version very soon, however it will be very different. The problem with and hurdle for creating the same functionality on android devices is that (at least that i'm aware) there is no way to completely hide an SMS message from phones. You can instantly read it and delete it as with windows mobile, however there will still be an sms arrived alert in the status bar.
To get around this hurdle i've created a website with a database and webpage front end that will allow for all communications to happen with a combo of SQL and Android Cloud to Device Messaging (C2DM). This will allow for a small footprint quick silent communications. However this also means I need to support a website and database.
This basically adds a large level of complexity and creates various pluses and minuses for everybody. The program will still be free as it has always been, however some of the features and those who want to have viewing and controlling capabilities through the web will be charged a slim fee.
The program will still be completely functional and useful without paying a dime but hopefully enough people will want the extra goodies to pay for the web hosting.
As I said it's mostly complete now and hopefully I'll have a release published here shortly and allow for free web viewing trial also.

That would be wonderful, I usually only create desktop and mobile applications. I don't have that great of an artistic eye and have rarely created any web sites. Currently I'm also using PHP for the website and will probably have to switch from godaddy hosting since they seem VERY slow at hosting any web pages containing scripts.
Maybe you can help me figure out why the logo seems to get cut off in IE6 (looks fine in other browsers.) it appears that displaying the bars are cutting it off since if I disable them it looks fine.

In general, Software like this is greatly coded, and requires alot of skill.
But on the other hand, if you use this App to watch / control somebody elses phone, is really awkward... I would be scared to know that a program like this exists and could be activated silently on my phone...
Just my 2 cents, but respect to the one who is able to program such a tool!

totalcare is a nice project, but the main differences are:
OverVi3w can be controlled via a webpage or sms.
Overvi3w has many more features
Overvi3w is actually stealthy, unless something is different about totalcare since last time i'd seen it. The message may be instantly deleted, however when you look at the sms history it would still show that it arrived even if you couldn't open it. although you still could see the command and from who is sent.
Overvi3w allows the phone to be controlled from ANY other phone or from the web console. It still uses a password for protection during sms control and to use the web interface it requires the imei (gsm phones) or meid (cdma phones) for extra security.
Anyway, I should be accepting alpha users later this week.
wow it's already have a name. OverVi3w. can't wait. total care just doesn't work on both my phone (gingerbread and froyo).

Hi you asked foraan phond creeper program for win mobile 3.5 look for phone creeper or espionage suite .cab and if that cant be found look up phone leash for android and if nothing there is appealing look up blooover.cab its a java thing and works well with winmobile and theres newer **** for other platforms.

Do you realise that this is a 12 year old thread with the last post in 2014? And please do not create multiple posts within a short time, instead edit your previous post if you need to add some info.
i have an Inspire4G, an iPhone, and an Atrix... i have unlocked and rooted and put Cyanogen & other mods on my Android based phones that I have now, and my N1 from the past as well as others for friends.
but i fully admit, i am NO expert... i rely on those who understand the system more than i, to do what i've done.
And, i am THANKFUL for all the work you have all put in.
SO - here's my issue, the iPhone has the group/threaded MMS ability... its a commonly known issue, a common question, and run through google shows many asking for options. some Blackberry devices can join these threads, and i'm pretty sure my iDen devices back in the day could as well. but Android cannot (currently).
i have tried GoSMS and Handscent, and it seems like they are merely better front-end clients with more/different notification features that feed off a base SMS/MMS from the core system. someone please correct me if i am wrong.
so - my questions: what keeps us from joining them? is it that an app can't be written to do this because the system can't do this?
is it simply that there is no way to modify the base Android system to handle this, and we all must wait for Google to include the needed code or libraries to do so?
is there not a... 'standard' or maybe available code from other systems that could be applied to the current base SMS/MMS system to allow for grouping in some way?
i ask today because the majority of the people in my world are iPhone users, and now that Group Messaging is active by default in iOS5, its becoming used more and more... to a frustrating level. i originally thought it would be as simple as waiting for GoSMS to thread the incoming texts, but as i've tried various options and apps it seems they're all based on something limiting.
and i'd like someone who knows more than i to explain (hopefully in simple terms) what keeps Android from adding what seems to be an old ability, really so i can know if there's hope for a change soon... or if its not even possible. hell, maybe this will come in ICS/4.0, or maybe its not possible.

I am transition from BB back to android for various reasons, but one thing I will miss is BBM. I think that apple creating their own propreitary messaging platform shows there is definite potential in such a product.
I did some searches and looks like google had something called huddle, then messenger for google+. I am not on google+ so I dont know if thats still around.
Either way I think its time for google to create such an app. I know they have gchat and google voice. But the main draw of BBM (and imessage) I think its focus on messaging: the read and delivered indicators, sending files, seamless integration into the OS. I use both quite often but neither really measure up to BBM's capabilities. With the new OS's JB and ICS (haha new) this might be a sweet add to them.
Honestly even just adding read/delivery indicators to gchat might seem like a great marginal improvement..
Thoughts, or I am just so out of touch that gchat has been improved (in my years absense) to the point thats its way superior to BBM (more than just superior in amount of friends who use it lol).

I too went from android to bb then i died and went back to android.
One major drawback of the bb is the apps. App selection is horrible and now that BB is in the hole because of their money issues and the fact that their os is not keeping up with Apple or Google they are probably going to keep declining.
Google+ is great. One major problem is that not everyone uses them. Google+ has Hangout which allows you to video chat with 10 people and txt chat with groups, like Family, My Friends, Coworkers, etc. You dont need a pin, just have them as a friend.
Now, my final Opinion,
BBM is great, you can chat(like AIM back in those days) and stalk with r or unread.
But, keeping a BB as an overall phone is a big negative.
theres a saying like "with great something comes great sacrifices."
It depend on what you choose, yes they all have a chat style thing, but you need to look at the other features that you also need that others dont have.
Thanks for the feedback. I would agree. I do love my bb; its a fantastic phone (ie communications device) unfortunately seems I think I need my phone to be more than a phone (per the culture nowadays). So I look to android. But the bb is superior in email, text, and calling but you are right- no apps really. Plus a bigger screen is oh so tempting.
And as far as the 'r' / 'd' indicators (ie stalking), it would nice to have a messaging app that does at least the delivered indicator. Too many times I wonder if my text has gone through as some people dont get mine sometimes (could be their phone or mine)
I guess my intention with this thread was to see if I am missing anything or raise awareness that goog should make a messaging platform..
GTalk still needs improving.
But only by a few tweaks. It still doesn't allow you to send pictures!

I think theres already a Whatsapp Messenger for Android.
I would love to see a combined Messaging/Google Talk app that allows me to send messages to either phone numbers or email addresses in the same threads. Kind of like Big Fruit's iMessage feature. I want to be able to keep the same conversations going whether I'm on my phone or tablet. I /could/ use Google Voice, but I like keeping my GV number separate from my real number.

I need an app for Android phones that will forward calls and keep a log of how many calls were forwarded. I'm not sure if this exists or if I need to create it but here is an explanation of what I'm trying to do.
I run a marketing business and my clients need to know which channels are driving business. So what I have in mind is to use different phone numbers for online ads vs newspaper vs billboards etc... This would be straightforward in the US, there are services that issue virtual tracking numbers. But where I am, these services don't exist so I have to find a workaround.
So like I mentioned before, my plan is to get a few different mobile phone numbers, and forward each number to the main business line. But I need a way to track how many calls each mobile phone is forwarding.
If you know of an app that would help or have another approach I should consider, please share it.
