There is a good application named Performance.exe it is perfect for your needs.
If you have a G4 device you can overclock over 600Mhz
with G3 dev. you cannot go over the standard 520Mhz

New to forums and pda's in general, just bought T-mobile Wing quick ?

first off not sure where wing topics belong cause i didnt see a section for it yet 2nd is there any method to overclock the wing's processor?
it got a samsung cpu
a search for something like
"overclock AND samsung"
would lead you to peoples results overclocking that type of cpu

A T-Mobile Wing is also known as a HTC Herald or P4350.
doesnt it use the same processor as the MDA? thats not a samsung is it?
as long as they are arm compatible it dont matter who makes them softwarewise
but overclocking toolswise it does
so the oc tool for the mda should work fine then right since its the same processor? will it run on windows mobile 6 ?
MDA is the term tmobile call ALL! their pocketpc phones they dont all have the same cpu they are all arm compatible by being arm compatible dont mean they can use the same oc tool
only 4 ways to find out
1 try it
2 wait and see if anybody come across this thread who have tried it
3 google around
4 write an email to the makers of the oc tool you wish to use
The Wing is exactly the same as the Herald, it just has another look and has Crossbow. For overclocking I suggest you use Tai Chi's BatteryStatus, a today plugin-in with overclocking options (dynamic, static, application controlled e.g.)
And if you're interested in another overclocking util, search for an utility that can clock TI (texas instruments) omap850 processors

s730 rom vs Vox ;D

hello
Somone try wirte to vox rom from s730 ? or can be it relly and meby work or not ? its to same smart and difrents are more ram faster cpu and gps ( but vox to have "gps" ;D )
Meby its good idea to get new rom's to vox or if cant be use from wings meby remake something and then be work
sorry for my eng;/
Seeing as a lot of s730 users complain about very low memory on their devices I wouldn't want to try adaptating the whole rom to the Vox
However I already stole some nice things from it, like rsshub which is very good.
Mh RSS hub is an old version of NewsBreak!

s730 have 64mb ? i allways hear its 128mb ;| so if have low memory its lake vox and meby on rom from s730 vox will better work
Yes you are right, it isn't free! And RSSHub has nearly the same features!
never really got why they made the s730 with 64mb (if you are correct)...i mean most smartphones nowadays are embedded wtih 128mb are they not? would be awesome if my vox had 128 always finding myself cleaning the vox to save memory
oh and with teh s730 being thicker than the s710 does the s730 offer anything more than more storage and faster cpu?

the things missing from S710 ... GPS, 3G

Which Device is faster?

Which Device is faster? Kaiser or Universal
Using the following processors & clock speed:
Kaiser processor (Qualcomm® MSM 7200, 400MHz) &
Universal (Intel Bulverde 520 MHz processor)
I was confused between the two.
Best Regards
Hi !
I own both.
Universal "feels" faster, also benchmarks give better results for the Universal CPU.
Technically the Kaiser *should* be faster (due to having a later version of the ARM instructions), however 1) WM5/6 doesn't support the extra instructions and 2) the Kaiser is missing drivers for its Graphics chip, so any graphics intensive program runs extremely slow.
Yep, it's nice to see that thanks to HTCs business device policy our Uni is still running top of the line... counted out the handful of really 3D enabled devices
Is Universal the fastest Windows Mobile device available?
Lol..
Try XDA2i in its original state (WM2k3) and feel the difference
Any new ideas about changing my Universal to a beter and faster device !
Best Regards
upgrading to WM6.1 definitely gives the edge over the spped, should give it a try, you can start with Ranju's unbeatable V7.4 ROM for starters.

Qtek S100 (I-mate JAM): Overclock question

Hey guys,
I was wandering the FPSECE forums so I asked about the compability with my PDA model and someone answered me with this:
It should run pretty well!!
On my QVGA P750 @ 667Mhz PXA 270 I could get better speeds than my Omnia!
If you overclock your 400 Mhz PXA 272 you should be able to get pretty nice speeds.
Check out this thread, it might help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=240277&highlight=overclock

How can I overclock my S100? How much can I overclock it? And is it safe?
Thanks in advance,
K.
With Cotulla's ROM you can use MagicianSpeed in Settings
Settings > System > Device Speed?
It has an option which says "Very Fast: 416 Mhz+", is that it? But would it work fine?
Yes,there it is,it works fine and safe.
Thanks man

Overclocking the HTC Touch Diamond 2

....its a fake; look at the stylus; its placed on the left side at the device!
lol
olso no zoom bar and the usb entrance is on the top insted of on the bottum
Wowww. What a phone. A topaz that faster than mine. Hahaha.
Must be a chlnese brand non htc device. Notice that there is no HTC text up on the phone.
I'm impressed.
For a moment I thought it was an actual TD2, but the volume control in place of the zoombar gave it away, along with the stylus. Pretty cool, though
Ok,Ok, its fake picture from ebay...But can somebody upload some cab for over- and under- clocking for our device...or some link for download ?
Thanks forwarding

Not possible ? To bad...Maybe with them app we can improved battery life for our device.
EDIT: Will somebody try this app :
nueClockControl

overclocking a cell phone? what's next, upgrading ram, installing nvidia video graphics cards and playing halo3? the nueclockcontrol program has 7065 downloads, but it doesn't seem like any of them are from xda, otherwise we would have heard something by now! "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is!"
nueclockcontroll can't overclock , it can only "underclock" :-(
but its a nice thread , maybe can anywhere "edit" the nueclockcontroll so we can overclock ?
i have se some HTC Kaiser what was OC to 728mhz < , so its possible , but nobody have a programm :-(
I would not even dare to *overclock* my phone.
What advantages would this have as the rest of the hardware is not designed for this ?
I think this will reduce the life span of your phone as well?

OK,OK....But underclocking is good for battery life...But bad for device speed....Resume: I hold on original processor speed 528 MHz

I already fried one Artemis playing this silly overclock game..I got the what I call "fading to black screen syndrome". I was extremely lucky that my device was still under warranty and that HTC assistance couldn't detect it was my fault. So it is obvious that I absolutely NOT recommend to use such tools, also because the advantage you could take is nothing compared to the disadvantage of a even more poor battery life

That is true....Maybe it, playing wit CPU clock speed, is reason because many coocked ROMs on ROM section our forum, have enormus battery drain usage...

Same here... Overclocked my HTC Touch. And killed it after a while..
(fortunately my warranty did the job after that^^ )
The tool "BatteryStatus" overclocked and underclocked the phone dynamic so it was battery friendly and faster..
It works great if you don't go too far with the processor speed
[edit] The cooked ROMs here are not overclocked I guess.. It would be mentioned to what mhz the ROMs clock our devices.
Tool "Battery Status" ? Have you link or can upload cab ?
Do you mind on Battery Guard maybe ?
Regards
I used BatteryStatus to overclock my HTC Touch. On the Topaz it does not over/underclock the cpu...
(At least I didn't find the option to change cpu speed)
overclocking
I would apreciate the possibility of dynamicly overclocking the TOPAZ.
I don´t find it that fast though, having disabled htc-sense, using spb MS 3.5 instead.
Maybe have to downgrad to MS 3 ..
I was so glad having BatteryStatus installed on my htc ELF, usually running with 200MHZ.
overclocked dynamicly between 112 - 299 (turbo-, basic 273) and my little elf was damn fast but economicly working with its battery.
Any app simular to BS for the Topaz would be worth donating at least € 10,--
Regards
