i just up graded to wm6 using helmi's verizon wm6 program and now i can not get my data to connect to an other progams but ie. I have drinkipedia sirius and the today screen weather app. it will not connect to any of these and I would like to know if there is a setting on a verizon phone that I need to have turned on or off to fix the problem. Thank you in advance.
I'm having the same issue. I can connect to the data network, but can't make or receive voice calls.

The GPRS is alway connectioning. It seems like every time I have to use something that uses the internet the connection bubble shows. I thought my phone was always connected on the internet. I still do not has MMS working. Have input the the server info but it always displays error synorizing when I click send/receive.
Which cell provider do you have? With T-Mobile and my G4 running Faria's latest I only stay connected to an Edge link when I am using it. Otherwise it disconnects until I need it again.
As for the MMS, I could help you with the settings if you have T-Mobile. I was able to get mine sending and receiving fine. I still have that small picture size issue, though.

I have the same issue! But my just connects with GPRS and turns on the display that is off. Realy annoying..I use Comviq in sweden.

Upgraded ROM ver: 3.60.70 WWE
Have recently upgraded to the latest WM6 ROM. The main purpose was to get my voip phone working. This is what i did and what i ended up with:
1). Flashed the ROM with the Helmi's default options + Voip phone
Results: The upgrade went perfectly fine and i even had the 'VoIP setup" option in my Programs. I set up all the settings. (The only special thing is that my proxy and registrar address is an ip address xx.xx.xxx.xx:9060 with port number instead of a domain name). I turned the voip settings to 'Whenever available' and connected to my wifi.
I DO NOT SEE INTERNET PHONE ON MY TODAY PAGE AND ALSO WHEN I TRY TO CALL IT CONNECTS ME VIA MY TELECOM SERVICE INSTEAD OF ROUTING MY CALL VIA MY VOIP SERVICE PROVIDER.
2). Flashed the ROM again and this time did not choose Voip pone in HELMI'S rom. After the phone was upgraded, installed the wm6voip.cab and he sipsetup.cab and i start seeing the voip setup icon in programs. The result is the same i.e.

it is a very picky process... but it will work.
even when you configure it right the first time, it wont seem to engage the first time when available.
here is what i have done to get it working...
configure the setup and save... make sure it is set to "whenever available" as you have done.
after saving, soft reset.
turn on your wi-fi
go into voip config again and just save (without any changes)
go to your phone dialer...
now, instead of sprint / or verizon... you will see the name of the VOIP provider you gave (assuming it is able to connect to that provider)
when dialing, hold your phone backwards... sound comes out the rear speaker and is very quiet.
I have a touch pro 2 running a 6.5 ROM and I am having issues getting activesync (Exchange) mail working over cellular connections.
I have set it up, all seems OK. I can surf web pages, though it is slow - HSDPA does not seem to come up much. I am in London on T-Mobile with a flat rate data plan (Web-n-walk).
Activesync mail does not sync over cellular. If I manually initiate a send/receive, it often does nothing, sometimes pops up a notification to say that connecting to the internet access point (general.t-mobile.co.uk) failed.
If I enable wifi (just regular wifi, not wifi activesync) and connect to my DSL connection, it all works fine - so I am 99% sure it is an cellular issue or an issue with my phone provider.
Can anyone give me any advice, T-Mobile customer support is getting me nowhere.
Hi, I'm using Energy rom 21914.Sense2.5.Cookie.GTX.Aug.24 in my sprint TP2 since the release and today I'm experiencing a problem:
when connected by WiFi (with max strenght signal also) and trying to send or sync my e-mail, the phone will open a data connection instead of using the wireless one already connected!
The problem is that I have a very very limited data plan and since I'm usually connected by wifi this sucks...
The other apps, weather/opera/etc keep on the wifi connection and the only thing that opens a new data connection is the mail - by the mail tab and by windows live.
I also know that I could turn off the data connections with "Data Controller" or so, but I'm really upset because all was going well until today and now with no apparent reason it occurs this stupid thing!!
Anyone experiencing this or having a solution to get it back to normal?

I am on vacation in Cyprus and uppon arriving I have bought a Primetel SIM card as it has free 100mb of traffic.
Primetel uses Cytavodafone netwprk and has the same internet con figuration. I am using Touch pro with stock ROM, and no modification (well I think it has the hspl as I have not reverted it), but it is using the stock FR 6.1 ROM.
The APN settings say that I should only use "internet" in the name, and that the username and password should be empty.
I have configuered a new modem connection with that specification, and I have set it to connect using it when internet is required.
It does connect to the internet, I can see the small G on the network signal bar, but I have no internet. I can not update weather, browse on internet or downlpad quickgps data.
I am using another sim card from the same provider with HD2 running android and it works perfectly.
Please if anyone could help me how make it work on WM 6.1 I would be very greatful.

Comle on people, please help me configure mobile internet on this device. I have done everything by the book and even though I am connected I have no internet. Is there some option I need to turn on oor off in order to make it work.
