New photos i found - Touch Cruise General

Hey, first a compliment for your Photos... They are excellent!
No wonder, you have used a CANON camera!
But i have an important request: Could you or someone else take photos with an higher resolution? Primarily of the field under the display! I mean the buttons.
Only on the photos of joeyyong i could recognize that HTC worked on this button field. On the other pictures (of the Pre-Version) of the Touch Cruise, you could see it in a lot of reviews, this field looks "very poor designed". But now, HTC seemingly changed the material of the buttons such as they do it on the XDA Orbit II. I hope that somebody can upload a perfectly photo with the surface of the buttons. I hope you have understood my problem.
THX alot!
Edit: Thread must be called: Photos taken by joeyyoung.
He take the photos and don't make them. My english teacher would kill me, if she read my posts...

Is there nobody who is owning a digicam and the HTC Touch Cruise??
Please help me... I couldn't wait until February
3 or 4 Pictures are enough! Important is not the quantity but rather the quality of the pictures.

Please upload pics for me...
PLEAAASE.... I can't sleep! :'(

I bet you're sleeping now

There is a nice 360 also.
Enjoy.

Are these http://resources.chs.si/download/HTC/Slike/TouchCruise/ of any help? They are not mine - I just found them.

Thanks, but this are the wrong photos, because they are from the pre-production unit. The final version looks like joeyyoung's device.

Well, when I get mine I'll be happy to make some 6MP for you.

Camera Vs. Picture time...

Hey xda techies,
Here's my problem; I'm not sure if it's because of WM6 or the MDA Wizard / 8125, but it takes a long time when I take pictures. What I mean is when I press the button to take the picture, there is a delay between that and taking the actual picture. Most of the time, it's a miss because the person or the actual picture I was trying to take moved!
If anyone has a configuration or a tweak to fix this, or even another picture taking program - I would really appreciate it!
Phil
Plus...
Oh and I just remembered...
Also the flash of the camera comes on pretty early. It barely gives that extra hint of glow that it's already gone. The way it is now, it's a waste of flash. Anyone know how to fix this?
Phil
my solution
this is pretty much what i did. took off my casing and drilled a hole through the flash spot. its soooooo bright now!!! it can easily light up an entire scene at least 4 to 5 feet away!!!! its an extremely bright light. people get blinded by it now up close

Holed up!
Yo Taz,
Now I wonder how the hell did you ever figure that one out! It's not everyday someone decides to just drill a hole throught their pda!!
Seriously, thanks for the heads up... What about the time delay between the button and the actual cam taking the picture??? Any info on that?
Man, the things we do to find efficient solutions...! You crackl me up!
Phil
hahaha. thanks. i wasnt sure if i should do it or not but i didnt really mind. i hated the flash being so dim it was frusterating at times. now i dont have to worry!! about the flash time i realized that the best solution was to use the Batterystatus overclock to about 247mhz and not have anything else running at all. also turn off the shutter sound and turn off the picture preview that happens after you shoot. makes things a bit quicker. my camera is really quick with pictures now. i save to my 2gb storage card!!
hope that helps. let me know how it works for you.
find the coolCam application. I had it in one ROM many months ago and it was a FAR more efficient camera app then the one that is being installed from every other app. not sure why it faded so quickly but it was a very lite version that ran very fast!
Dis someelse test it? Is it OK with all devices? Can someone send the pictures? Maybe even with before and after pictures?
THX
Okay....
Alright guys,
I downloaded Coolcam and installed it. Works pretty well and somewhat better than the cam with wm6 / 8125.
My problem is, I tried to change the program to start when I press the side cam button on the pda! It didn't figure in any of the lists! I currently have it on program files, but I just can't get to it!
Anyone has an idea, please let me know.
Phil

Can someone take a good picture for the Wikipedia page?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touch_pro
The picture is terrible right now, taken by a webcam!
Could someone with a good condition Touch Pro and an SLR camera replace that thing?
EDIT:
I mean.. compare the picture to the Xperia's
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_XPERIA_X1
Sure, I'll try and do this shortly...
Hmm, appears you have to be a bit of a fancier user to upload an image to the Wiki.
So, I took these - still not fab, but I don't have much time today, but if anyone who *can* edit the Wiki, then feel free to use them.

If you read the discussion, there was a different pic there before, but some guy changed it because it showed a customized theme.
Ideally, we should have high quality pictures of both the CDMA and GSM versions (since they look different) in the open position, preferably with stock-looking TF3D theme.
I don't want to put my Fuze up there, since it's branded and lacks the front-facing camera.

wow that's a HORRENDOUS picture. and the ratio's messed up.
xperia photo looks professionally done though :\
why not jack one from the HTC site?...oh wait they pulled them down
i did a google search and found some decent high res photos:

http://www.htc-touch-pro.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/htc-touch-pro-front-3d.jpg

Sure, there are plenty of good production pictures of the Touch Pro, but do they pass Wikipedia's image "fair use" legality requirements? I don't know their rules myself, but I know that user photos tend to be allowed.
Okay it's still not changed.. Who here is able to edit the Wikipedia page? I guess one has to be a user to post the image on Wikipedia?
I believe the main problem Wikipedia has with the photos are with the contents of the screen and I've seen screens blurred before, so, from photoshoping jmbilling's photo...
and my poor attempt at removing the background (should look fine over white)

I see the Touch Pro article now has no picture whatsoever.. <sarcasm>great.</sarcasm>

Horizontal Contact Widget

Question to everyone....is there a decent contacts widget that is horizontal and not vertical, like the HTC contacts widget we have on our phone. THAT is a beautiful wiget aside from it is going vertical and not horizontal as I would like.
I have been looking for a decent one on the web and market and have come up with one, but it does not work on HTC Heros in the US due to our sense
Here is a screen shot of what I am looking for....either two on top are the perfect widgets for my contacts. I'd like to scroll through them as we can on our HTC widget. Anyone have any ideas??
....or even more badass would be to get the widget we have currently to be horizontal instead of veritcal

or a widget that lets you have this looping over and over on one of the home screens sorry I have ta
I have been wanting the same thing for such a long time now. I hate the vertical positioning. It will be so much nicer to have it horizontal.
I was watching this extremely long video on youtube about making apps and so fourth. There's a code that you can enter into any apk that gives it that and 180 degree orientation. I know that it doesnt help much but just saying its possible

Here is that extremely long video that I'm watching again. One hour thirty five minutes twenty two seconds. Yeah thats long but if you are makin or modding apps it's definitely worth it. Now the real question can you really give any apk 180 degree orientation?

Someone make an External Flash addon!

Sony used to have this:
http://www.myhphone.com/manufacturer/accessories/sony-ericsson-mxe-60-flash-add-on/
I'm wondering if its possible to make one using the mini-usb port on this phone?
Perhaps one of those could even be modded to do it (Though wouldnt be ideal)
would make a cool product to sell!
What for ? camera is still crappy , its not like its DSLR for any worth while pictures real camera can't be beat at this point in time.
ive seen these for other phones,
It will happen only if this is a huge success for samsung..

there is no reason to use the usb-port, just use a micro-tork if you can't live without it.

Right, and I suppose besides the DSLR, you also bring along a PSP for games, an iPod or Zune for music, a Garmin GPS receiver for maps, and a thick paperback book plus several newspapers as reading material.
But most of us would prefer the convenience of a all-in-one device even if it doesn't perform as well as multiple dedicated devices.
flash on Digital Cameras are wasted.
if you want a real flash you need to get big, and goes for even professional cameras, also you need to calculate the size of the room and distance.
most people i've seen taking pictures with point and shoot cameras with build in flash, has horrible results.
the best result is to NOT use the flash at all, and just take the picture, if you really need illumination, use a CREE LED flash light. (something like this http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13060) I always carry that with me, specially when I'm biking at night.
Most standard room lighting conditions are more than adequate enough for a good picture with a phone camera/point and shoot camera.

Anyone with the View 10 taking photos and willing to post some samples.

I've got the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and the Huawei Honor View 10 on my list of phones I'm considering since I need to update my daily driver this year. Is anyone with the View 10 willing to post some sample photos, including low light shots? I'd like to see some real world photos, not just the glossy professional online reviews. TIA.

It was also a moving shot in the car through a windshield so I'd say that's pretty good. Better than my OP5. I think maybe pre production software played a role in why they were so tough on the camera

imo the camera is a let down
Here's one using the wide angle lense. Also note that I'm not in anyway a photographer nor do I really do anything besides point and shoot so for me it's more than enough most of the shooting modes I've no earthy idea how to use.
