HTC p4300?

I don't see anything about this HTC phone. I just got it and have numerous questions...
can someone help??

It is the HTC generic of the Wizard. Go to that section and you will have all the info you need.

Does anybody know where I can get me hands on the Cincinnati Bell ROM for the HTC P4300? I have a Wizard but would love to flash it with Cincinnati Bells ROM. I appreciate any help or direction.

Phone connectivity problem after rom upgrade
I have the same problem , I have flashed a cincinnati bell P4300 Wizard Prodigy G4 with WM6 .I used the new Faria Crossbow rom .. This rom Rocks. I love the overclocking abilities, and the added bluetooth funtionality. My bluetooth stereo head phones actually work now.

After more reading i found that by flashing the rom for an att 8125 that i could access CBW to make phone calls the rom name is
AT&T 8125 G4 IPL&SPL.zip

This resulted in the following
ipl 2.25.0001
spl 2.25.0001
gsm 02.25.11
os 2.18.00
Everything appears to be functioning, 2 of 3 errors I was receiving at startup corrected themselves after installing the above mentioned rom . I still have the cannot execute repllog.exe error at startup. I have no idea what this does. but so far I don't see any consequences from it.
I did attemp to load
AT&T 8125 Official WM5 Rom
mentioned just below the above mentioned rom but received and invalid vendor error code

After bricking my phone and replacing it (insurance) 4 times. I thought posting these files would help the 4 or 5 people that bought the P4300. Cincy Bell no longer carries this phone so guard these with your life. These are the files that are needed to use yor wizard on Cincy Bells network.

Sorry to bring this back, but I'd rather ask here than start a new thread..
Will these files you posted work on a fuze? I'm having a hell of a time getting my connections working...for a while I had internet working fine but mms and weather did not work, now I flashed my rom and can't get any of the settings right..I've searched and searched and already tried what CBW has on their website for the settings..

They should work just fine.....let me know if you have any issues. I know more about CBW's network than CBW does.

As some users, including me, have serious 3G problems, it would be great if someone who has a newer radio rom then 1.27.12.17, could dump the rom and share it with us ? I noticed that the phones from NL and/or DE have maybe newer radio roms then htc.

mmm I think you need a NBH file to extract the radio NB apart and flash with CustomRUU. I Beleave you can't extract the radio from the device (but i'm not sure...).

I have a new T-mobile Vario III with 1.27.12.11.
I would gladly dump this anywhere, do you need this one?

Thanks about the offer but we have the 1.27.12.11 and 1.27.12.17. I would like to see if anyone has a newer like 1.29.xxx or 1.27.12.xx (> 17).
Does your 3G connections work fine ?

I am also using Radio version 1.27.12.11 on the AT&T Network in the US and I have no issues with my data connections. My phone switches between 3G and HSDPA while browsing/downloading, and my mobile speedtest is rated at 1.2mbps.

you can not dump a radio from a device sorry to say you have to have the .NBH containing it

I was having serious 3G issues in Northern Viginia. Every time my phone tried to get onto 3G, it would crash the radio. I'd lose voice and data. Edge and GPRS worked fine. Grabbed the 1.27.12.17 from ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Kaiser/Radio/KAIS_Radio_Only_1.27.12.17_CustomRUU.rar and things work great now. ~1.1mbps.

Thanks for the radio link! Appears to be working fine with AT&T in NJ, USA on my Tilt with the Helmi Kaiser 1.57.000.1 AKU.0.7.0 cooked ROM.

I noticed the "radio" in question has a lower version than i have on my tilt. I am curious if this one is actually newer and if anyone else is using it. If it is newer and others would like it to play with, i would glady dump it. I will need to find out how to dump it as i have never tried to dump one before. My device information page shows the radio version as 1.65.21.18

For T-Mobile UK Kaiser users only. Which is the best performing radio?

I am currently running Q-Mobile v1.2 on my Vario III which I must say is working nicely. I bought my phone on Friday and have flashed my phone 4 times in as many hours!
I also upgraded the radio rom from the stock t-mobile to 1.27.12.32. It works ok now and then but then it suddenly drops coverage for minutes at a time.
Anyone has a radio rom that just works on T-Mobile UK flawlessly?

I've tested all radios whether in Orange or T-Mobile the best is the one you are using (1.27.12.32) subject to rom installed..
I've got similar results with 1.27.15.32 but battery drain much faster using this one...

I'm on T-Mobile UK myself and have experienced exactly the same problem with network coverage being frequently lost for several minutes. I'll try 1.27.12.32 myself to see if this improves matters. Thanks for the advice.

WM6.1 for HTC S720/5800/Fusion/Libra/Boss

I am on Telecom NZ and have a Okta Boss, which is the HTC 5800/Libra/S720 etc. Which is CDMA/EVDO.
It's WM6.0 smartphone
Why is there no dedicated thread to this HTC phone in the smartphone area?
Would I be successful in using the VOX WM6.1 rom on this device?
How can I get into the bootloader to backup the current ROM, I tried using Power+Camera but it still boots into the phone.

I basicly want to know the same thing :-/

How many times it has to be sayed ... ROM for some device is only for this device. It won't work on any other device so ROM for Vox is only for Vox and it won't work on other devices

Man, your topic got me excited there for a second since I'm on VZW with a 5800. I'd love to see somebody out there create a ROM for our phones with 6.1 on it.

to be 100% honest, i dont think many people care about the CDMA versions, its really because CDMA providers are all garbage and lock everything down

Wow, aren't we being just a little harsh? Some of us in the US at least stick to the CDMA carriers since they, ya know, tend to have a lot better coverage area. The whole major aspect of owning a cell phone.

I think its not fair, The members on here are making ROMs for the S710 which is a hell alot older then the S720. Who cares what type of phone it is. All people want (Including ME) is Windows Mobile 6.1. Its not that big of a request.

About that comment, Its funny, Becuase the HTC S720/Libra made it into the top 25 most popuular Smart Phones. And has stayed there since its release. If anything, I think that all the ROM hackers/makers should stop making ROMs for the S710, Which is a much older and crapper phone (No Offence) and start making ROMs for the newer and better ones.

the S710 was replaced by the S730 a long time ago, the S730 blows away the 720, and yes the ppl like CDMA because of coverage not becuase of what phones the provider has.
but im in a major city where coverage with GSM is actaully better than CDMA, and the CDMA phones we have here are all total crap. the rom that comes with the telus S720 is the worst windows OEM rom ive ever seen. its slow, its HIGHLY unreliable, it requires resets near daily also it doesnt even have MMS capability. telus for some stupid reason didnt include the arcsoft client.
this is why i say not very many people care about it, it CHEAPER and easier to get a PDA phone and just throw in a sim card.
also im waiting for a rom for the S720 as well but i know it will never come, i need a super lite rom with no telus crap on it so the phone will actaully function properly. as you can tell i support them at work.

Will they Provide ROM update for HTC S720 Reliance in India?
Is there any way to install Telus ROM for my Reliance s720. I tried and got error INVALID VENDER ID.

This is a little bit old, but I'm in a bit of a bind - I have a Telus S720 that I haven't used in ages, and I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY like to use WM6.1 on it. The thing that pains me is that the update exists, and Telus are happy to give it to me - but they link to HTC's site for the download, and HTC (being the most customer-friendly company ever) have removed all their old phones from their website, including support links.

Vodacom & TyTn II Radio/ROM

I have a strange problem with my TyTn II (brought over from Vodafone UK) and now trying to run on Vodacom in SA.
Everytime I hang up a call the connection status changes from EDGE to 3G and then I get "No Service"! It re-connects about 5 mins later but sometimes it only says it is "connected" but I can't receive calls or make calls.
I'm running one of the HyperDragon III ROM's (stunning ROM) and I have tried almost all the radio upgrades out there.
Does anybody have the same prob?
Or could any south africans not experiencing any problems using the TyTn II on Vodacom Network perhaps let me know what their set-up, ROM and Radio software versions are.

have you tried turning off the 3g with the comm manager? try making a call that way and see what happens

Have you tried asking this question in the hyperdragon thread in case it is rom related? If not you need to do so or try to flash another rom to your phone and see if you still get the same problem. If you think it was a radio problem you could ask in the radio thread which is very informative.

I've reverted back to the latest HTC Rom. Had little problems with almost all the custom ROMs.

I had the same problem. And also broke the phone from frustration.
Last week i did a sim card swap. my old sim card was 2+ years old and...
everything is fixed! no more issues, no more "no service", no more dropped calls. the phone is much faster as well.
i use a kaiser diamond rom and always run fring. no more connection issues!

well changes are that this is the problem. If your sim is that old, changes areit is a 2G sim, not 3G hance the problem you can when trying to connect to 3G. First thing i did when getting my tytn II was a sim swap

I am running the latest HTC WM 6.1 from HTC site, Europe, and have not had any problems with Vodacom.
I think your problem could be related to "tower hand-overs".
I used to experience this with my old TyTN on cooked ROMS.
I reverted back to the OEM version of WM 6.1 and all the problems were resolved.
I know a while back even Leaf had radio problems on WM 6
