Polaris Project - Touch Cruise General

Well i think its time we start a project for the polaris to get u guys a hardspl, cooked rom, and unlocker done Raskell has asked i cook a rom for the device so i will be the cook and project leader. He is also trying to get us the devices we need for the project.
Raskell will also be a assist to me as he has a device right now. ltxda will most likely chime in or be a project head/leader like he was in Athena Project once he sees this and finds some time
Now what i am asking is for people to band together to get the donations rolling in for 2 devices. One for me to use for cooking the roms and 1 for olipro to use to make a hardspl and unlocker.
For me it is very difficult to cook a rom without a device. I have to rely too much on another person to be constantly on to try new things and to make a ultra stable rom.
You can see on the athena project how stable I have gotten my roms to be with a device. I would not be able to do this unfortantly without a device to test different things on. Also I cant keep asking someone to have their device resetup many times and running buggy many times.
It is up to the community now to get the donations needed for 2 devices for me and olipro so we can hack away. I already have made a cooked rom but have no device to check. Come on people we mananged to get a few athenas(olipro, me, cmonex, and chris) at the high price of that device so i don't see why we shouldn't be able to get 2 polaris for me and olipro.
hardspl is almost done except we need to personally test it so u guys wont mess up ur devices so itll be release along once devices are in.
unlocker will be started on once devices are in also. this will be the sim unlocker. the way the new qualcomm 7200 devices are made requires the device to be in hand of olipro and cmonex so they can test new techniques for unlocking the devices since u cant flash the radio rom like previously. more details will come in once olipro and cmonex reply to this thread. the quicker we have the devices, the quicker the community recieves a cooked rom, unlocker, and hardspl.
my rom i think from requests here will come in 2 versions. cube and cubeless version since i see not everyone likes the cube. of course i will use the cube version as i do like it. i will try to also cook in the 4 side aka customaplauncher and maybe ask midget or someone to create a customizer exe for it.

Donate to the Polaris Project that will bring u a Custom/cooked rom, hardspl, and unlocker here:

I'd be good for a donation of about to 15-20$ but not quite yet. It'll have to wait until I have a device and I decide to keep it.

Can you give me the thread who explains exactly the need of a rom ?
I think you create a new rom to fill it with many applications.
And if my future polaris is in french, i need a special rom ?
Thank you for your response to a newbie

Most times a cooked ROM is faster than official one and there are many versions (full or lite) depending on each user's needs.
If you flash an english cooked ROM to your french Polaris... you will loose french menu because it will be replaced with english language.

Thx athanaso77 for your reply.

not many people here saying they will donate. come on we had so many people on athena forums willing to donate. maybe i should get rom on a device so i can show u guys what ur donating for

I'm new to PPC and waiting patiently for the Polaris. I'll donate £10 once I get my hands on one. I hope it's worth the wait.

Count me in for CA$50
The Polaris is my next device and having had the pleasure of this forum and its many ROMs for my hermes, I know the value of a custom rom and SPL.

thats more like it. we are up to 100 usd if the people actually will donate once link is up. 600 usd to go. once we get halfway ill post the link.

hehe im getting closer to actually showing u it on a polaris. this time im not going to give any estimates or time frames. i said last time last week and we have nothing so this time im going to actually try to deliver something as soon as we have a hardspl done and raskell flashes his device to my rom.

As you see, I'm a newbie to this cite but have learned so many things about units I've been playing with for years. After everything you guys have taught me, I'll be happy to give you $30 toward our cause. I sure will miss flashing my Universal but hey, it's time for a change!

I'll donnate 15$ when I get mine
what are you planning to change,do,add to the rom?

First post, waiting for the Cuise to come out. I am willing to offer 10Euro for an improved ROM, hopefully with the graphics driver issues of the Kaiser resolved. Thanks for the effort. K.

I am curious for that too...

I'd be happier to donate if I actualy had one of these. I'm considering this puppy as a replacement for my 2 1/2 year old XDA Exec, but untill I've seen it and tried it, how do I know if I need another rom?
I played the rom game with the exec, and I'm sad to say that having had some fun, I'm back to the o2 rom.

You can count me in for $25-USA dollars.
Let me know when and where to send the money -

I intend to replace my Orbit 1 with an Orbit 2 as soon as its out, but i hope the O2 site is wrong. It looks like a step back. I hope its the black one with flush screen.
I will donate £10 for a decent rom.

Count me in for a €15 donation for a cooked rom without that
f..... cube. Unfortunately I would prefer a cooked rom in german.

looks like its time to open the link for donations. quite a few have already gotten the device and rest are getting it within the next few days/weeks. seems like there is a slow wlan/wlan issues we'll need to fix up once devices are in. hardspl is almost done except we need to personally test it so u guys wont mess up ur devices so itll be release along once devices are in.

Sell PocketZenPhone ?

A liitle poll about PocketZenPhone.
I like to thank those who donate but I'm far from a XDA2.
To help me to buy one I think to buy PZP for 5/7€ (in fact 7€ because sale site such as handango keeps 30% of the price)
What do you think ?
I have the version 3.6, and I tried to make a donation, but Paypal doesn't support Slovenian credit cards.
So I will pay for your software for sure.
Excellent work Zendrui.
Bye by Urosh
I also had problems donating on PayPal with my American Express card - so would happily pay €7/$8.48 for your software.
I hope you get your XDA II very soon!
i think that you should but with shareware everywhere the problem is that it's often pretty easy to pay if you live in the same country or such as the person you want to pay but if you live on the northpole it's more of an issue
(not that i live on the northpole )
in this case it seems the only way to go... how much did you get by donations? can't remember the amount you mentioned here, but it's truly not going to be a 14590 bucks... that's the count of people visiting your site. imagine only the half has downloaded and everyone would have donated 1 little buck to you, that would be more than just one xda2. i think that's the world we are living in nowadays. everyone wants to get everything for free... sad story. good luck with going commercial, but think about how to protect it, if you consider too, and i'm sure we are going to see this on some warez-site soon... again sad world
For now I get 90€ ... if I sell it for 5/7€ maybe it could help me to approach the XDA2.
I'm not thinking to get many € but ...
Really the XDA2 is my only motivation to sell
like wise i can't donate because my country is not included in pay pal, i would buy it for 8$ seems like a good price but only if it had weekdays also including on/off times
like wise i can't donate because my country is not included in pay pal, i would buy it for 8$ seems like a good price but only if it had weekdays also including on/off times
I would think USD 20/15 EUR would be much more fair given the value we get.
Regards
Michael
So, where I can buy pocketzenphone?
how about having 2 PZP versions?
1. PZP lite which would be for free and only includes the basuc profile changing functions
2. PZP pro which would include all the sophisticated functions of timers and radio on/off and so on??
that way you could stand by your initial principle of free PZP while you could make some money for the XDA 2
i think the fair thing to do is the following questoin
How far are you from an xdaII price? i think you have developed a perfect peice of programming very easy & fairly working fine with every body, seling it will creat more problems than solving it, like your commitment to fix bugs or update it for free for the 1st year, then you need to reply on the complains & 30% will be shared with Handango & might even to get to some legal issue you might not be aware of, so i think if we know how much you need still for an xdaII we will make sure we reach that price & therefore you get rewarded without commtment, unless you are thinking of making that a business thats a complete defferant story

Well said Rabia? I liked PzP because it was freeware and that Zenduri was always available to fix the bugs and provide upgrades.
Hows about setting up some sort of PO Box that others can send a cheque or money order if their are unable to donate from their countries via PayPal. Or if anyone has another idea along these lines. My God its 2004 their are other options besides PayPal! Just my two cents.

why protect it? sell it - and there will be more than enough people willing to pay. if i think of all the ppl having a pda and 99% of them have NO idea where to get warez.
i for myself would pay for it. i think 5.- is ok for a "little" tool for the pda.
regards ize|man
i bet there would be a lot of people willing to pay for pzp and i would bet up to €10 would be no problem to sell 4.x with all the funtions this build offers. i was more than happy to donate some € to zendrui in the beginning of pzp and would donate again some € if he would not go commercial. but if he is going to sell pzp count me in... but i would bet to see that on some place soon...
Hi,
I hope you got the EUR 10 from me !
I use the software regularly. It's great with my HBH 35 headset. I now do active sync only with bluetooth.
Regards, Dave
Rabias idea is the best, without doubt.
And yeah, only few people know how to get PPC warez.
But if you find it.. whoo... the possibilities - to test before buy!
If someone find the manner to send the money from Slovenia I'll send it (7€) to Zendrui without Handango.
I think that you are right. Handango is for finding clients, but Zendrui just has clients (us). So it is stupid to give 30% to Handango only because we are not able to send the money to Zendrui.

time to make it free

Isnt it time, this unlocker for the kaiser was made free to all XDA members, surely it should now be thrown over to, or as it should have been VOLUNTARY DONATIONS.
If you feel this should be the case let the members know how you feel about it.... tag your feelings onto this item
Afterall, this forum belongs to all of us......

are you threatening me, bungholio?
I'm not sure I understand this. Are you referring to the IMEI-check unlocker controversy
yes...
the unlocker that a certain member is holding and charging $50 for the use of, not for himself it must be said
I don't know why people pay for this. You just need to call to your carrier and they will provide an unlock code for you instantly.
unfortunately
here in the UK, the service providers, actually lock their phones on purpuse, and if you want your phone unlocked before the end of your 12, 18 or 24 month contract, you have to pay the remainder of your contract upfront in full, then also pay for the unlocking code fee, normally £25 + vat
I heard someone is working on a free unlocker...

Let me understand this - a member of this forum will unlock your phone for a donation to support a great site at prices that are far below what commercial services/carriers are charging so that the operators of the forum can pay for bandwidth, servers, software, etc. and this is a terrible thing? From some of the posts I've read, the donation was as low as $10-20.
Could I ask how much having this forum available has saved you in time and money by its existance? And why paying less for something is a bad thing?
I agree.
In fact, I won't SIM unlock my kaiser by Xda. If it was free and volontary donation, I will unlock my kaiser and give like $20, but I feel like I don't have choice.
I prefer give $20 to Xda and not to any website unlocker, but between $50 and $20, I don't have enough money
$50 is not interesting for Xda. Maybe 100 people will pay. But if it was $20, all members will unlock their Kaiser here.
Then, what's better ? 100 paying 50, or 500 paying 20 ?

the thread was started simply due to the fact of a donation being voluntary, and a charge being mandatory.
The member cannot claim its a donation, yes its all going to XDA, but its a charge of $50, and even more annoying the imei_check are only charging $40 ish for it.
My whole point was simply either make it a voluntary donation or make it free... but not to charge more than the ones currently selling their souls as a business.

Bungholio? Is that the new polite way of calling someone an a**hole?

1€ back (70 € gathered)

Hi! it is a long time since I last flashed pcarvalho's ROMs but I think he is very much responsible for many of us being able to flash and cook 6.5 roms on our beloved but rather old polaris.
I propose a quick poll just to gather 250€ so he can continue with his production (or do what he wants). As soon as we have 250 voters we close the thread and send the euro via paypal. It is fair?
Already donated (since pcar' polaris dead):
15 € x 1 = 15: whitealien
10 € x 5 = 50: Kulen, Tamirl, vld75, fldin, masterplan_79
5 € x 1 = 5: nemiers
Willing to donate
10 €: jopost
5 users (no amount specified): cruiserrr, skumara, redirecttonothing, nemiers, squeeza
12 more not identified (please leave a message since I thougth I could get the names from the poll)
Offering 2nd hand polaris deal:
Ronok (Belgium): 150 transportation and insurance included.
Vestlink (somewhere in Europe): willing to donate his device to a polaris developer
DaRacerz, willing to sell it as well since he changes to a new phone
good idea!!
it would be a good idea to post a link to this on pcharvalo's ROM thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=506043&page=733
It's been here a few days already and I just noticed it.
I believe most people, like me, only read threads they follow, and just sometimes check for new threads.
and from the name of the thread is not too understandable what it is about, so many people probably just skip it.
If somebody want to donate more please write in thread here so we can see how much we can gather. or even better just pay to pcharvalo via paypal and write that you did.
And perhaps even less than 250 € can be enough if he wants to buy a new (used) one instead of repairing his:
and he certainly does deserve a new one for all he did in Polaris development.
he lost his device trying to make ours better :-(
ready to donate
I sent 10 EUR. via PayPal
I'v used his geat ROM long time. I'v never sent money, but it is right time to make donate.
Thank you Mr. pcarvalho.
I'm honored to donate 10€ to Mr. Pcarvalho, for his fantastic's ROM's.
Thank you!!!
ready to donate
p.s. have you got positive answer from Pcarvalho, that if phone is bought that he continues development?
Well, I personally give my opinion in the subject: it is one € (or more) back for the hours he has devoted to the polaris community, not in exchange for what he may want to do in the future.
That's your option, nobody is here to judge anybody, pleope willing to give some money for the job done so far can already donate the money. If you want to donate only if he continues the development, then wait...
Polaris donation for Mr. Pcarvalho
I already sent the 10€ to Mr. Pcarvalho ( paypal ), for his fantastic's ROM's and his support to the old !!! polaris.
Thank you!!!
John
Hi all,
first of thanks for all this, i'm truly amazed at you all, i wasn't going to get a polaris cause, lets face it, its 2,5 years old and newer devices with similar price tags are available, getting one is not a very good deal (unless you have very basic nokia models, then i fully recommend it ).
but as always this community changed my way of thinking. even though my polaris died you all are working to help me get another one. so...
i'm now currently trying to find a way to fix mine (or get one that's working and in mint condition) and so all current donations will be used to get it working.
once i do get it, rom development will obviously continue. i have some kind of customization disease. all my phones are always "make it mine"...
so, thanks for those that are helping, my only regret is COM5 Branch (235XX) is currently paralyzed (more or less since my device died), that means lots of time was wasted that could have meant lots of fixes...hope i can fix that soon...
cheers
I have already donated 10€. Thanks pcarvalho.
I just ordered a new phone (the "desire" was too great ). I was going to sell my touch cruise on ebay, until I saw this topic. I can sell my device to you... I haven't figured out how much I want for it though. I think the used ones go for 100-150 nowadays.
I think it's better to send my device to somebody who knows the device and is going to develop it further, rather than some random guy. Although I know I will probably get a smaller share.
What do you think?
in appreciation of the few POLARIS chefs
Hi cruiserr!
thanks for starting this poll. I donated to pcar before, since I have been using his ROMs for quite somewhile now and they really added value to my otherwise lame phone. Unfortunately there are too many leechers out there that can not appreciate hard coding/ porting work. Still, I voted to donate again for a replacement phone for pcarvalho. However, I think sending his one to repair is not the cheapest way here - besides the ideological value. We could watch the bay for getting them around 150 maybe.
Regards

Shipping and handling costs to Portugal are about 30 € with insurance and tracking information. Without insurance and tracking it's 10 euro. Delivery time should be between 3 and 10 days.
I'd be happy with 150 € all-in (120 for the device). I can't take pictures now, because I don't have an other camera than the one on the polaris. I'll send them asap.
BTW i'm from Belgium, not Germany

hello guys,
as per our initial wait time, we have waited till today to see if we could reach out target donation amout... but as u guys would have realized too the donations have slowed down considerably... but thats expected to happen...
currently we have donations which are around 277 USD [13850 INR]... we have taken the decision that we will no longer wait for the rest of the donations to come thru, instead we will buy a new device from local retailer... we feel this is the best option as we will not run into warranty issues (as it will be purchased thru reliable retailer), or have to pay any additional "hidden costs" which are prevalent in online purchases... we had checked yesterday and its price was 353 USD [17650 INR]... though the price is relatively steep, we have decided that we will buy it... we will chip in the remainder of the amout ourselves, namely we will pay 353 - 277 = 76 USD, which is almost double of wht we initially promised to pay but we think there is no point in taking un-necessary risks thru online retailers, delayed deliveries and warranty claims... the reason we are so much inclined to warranty is because of the fact that kernel development can be most "dangerous" in terms of bricking the device, i have first hand experience as i have bricked two andoid phones ... so even if we need to pay that little more atleast we will have the warranty claim to fall back on for get new replacement device
we will go and buy the device right NOW...
THANK YOU ALL WHO DONATED!
we hope that the rest of u will willingly donate, especially when u see our work

hey guys i am glad that u all have finally reached close to target amount...
i have already discussed this with Napstar and i think we can now start accepting donations...
to avoid bouncing the donations from various accounts, and incurring the un-necessary charges/overheads, here is wht i suggest/recommend:
the international users can directly send donations to me (via PayPal): my donation link (when sending donations via paypal kindly put a comment saying "for i9003 development" or "for sgs-sl development"
the domestic (Indian) user can directly contact Napstar via p.m., he will provide u his account details and then u can send in the donations via NEFT bank transfer (i think this is the fastest way and can be done via online banking for most indian banks)
let me know wht u guys think...

i will be updating this post with info on the donations we receive...
hello guys,
i was contacted by a few users from ur community (mainly vishal24387) with a request to develop for ur device [SGS-SL]... u guys might remember me from a few weeks (months?) back when i was requested to help out with USB-OTG, sadly that didnt work out since i didnt have device to do testing on
so we (Team UtterChaos) would like to know if the user community for this device is interested in donating a device to us for development... this is not for USB-OTG BUT for general kernel development for this device...... Team UtterChaos currently consists of me and my dear friend Napstar and both of us are from Pune, Maharashtra, India...
additionally let me make this clear... we want a working device... you guys can work out a way to raise funds for this and send us a working device...
remember i am only posting here since the users from your community have approached and requested me to do so...
i mostly develop for Xperia devices (x10, Arc, Play, etc...) and personally have a Xperia X10 & Xperia ARC... i recently received Xperia Play as a donation from that community to work on that device... i mostly work on kernels and some fun stuff (dualboot, modified recovery, bootmanager, lots of tools, etc)... i will soon be getting a HTC Flyer for personal use/development... if u want to know wht all i have created/done/played with u can check the list of threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141153
Napstar has a Ideos X6 (Spice MI410) and has developed kernels, recoveries, etc for that device... if u want to know wht all he has created/done/etc, u can check list of his threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?do=finduser&u=4224819&starteronly=1
since u would have realized that i am pretty busy with the phones i already have, so i have requested my dear friend Napstar to take the lead in developing for ur device, if u guys do decide to donate a device to us ... i will help him out initially but later on he will be the one working for ur device...
so what do the users of this community think?
do let us know in this thread wht do u guys think...
@MODS: since i was requested for helping out with development i have posted this thread in dev section... if u think its not the correct section kindly move it to which ever section u think is correct...
this will contain the list of users whos donations have been received in my PayPal acc. or Napstar's bank acc.

### donation updates ###
To all i9003 members
Only CM7 or CF root is not enough guys. Porting mods, themes can be done at any time guys but we all know that we really require a great kernel developer who will develop great kernels which will make phone snappier like never before. In galaxy S2 or Galaxy S section you will see lots of custom kernal which is made by them. In older days we had skin but now really we need to take major step guys for our phone. Codeworkx already said that once ICS will release all he will completely pay attention to GALAXY S & S2 phone. Then again we will be alone with our phone for long time. So guys please dont be restrict yourself upto some themes or mods. Dont make urself busy with new officially roms released by samsung. They can deeply reviewed by us later. But right now donation & more important KERNAL development is more necessary.
I just want that u have to just donate a very small amount say like 200-300 Rs (5-6 $ USD) which we usually spend on some non-important things. If we donate today it will refund us in form of high level kernal development. So please I again & again requesting u to take some initiative. No other developer will come to help us. Unless & until they have phone in hand no developer can develop kernal virtually for our phone. THINK GUYS SERIOUSLY ABOUT THIS PLEASE .
For some days I will just collect names of members who want to donate. If amount reached to our target amount then we will start donation.
ITS A HUMBLE REQUEST THAT PLEASE IF U WANT TO REALLY DONATE ONLT THEN & THEN GIVE ME YOUR NAMES.

I think its a great idea coz you have great kernel and OTG working knowledge.
I know you will rock our device. Btw do any of you can write OR manipulate drivers? Like bring video gtalk on our device?

This would be great, if you could develop kernels and USB OTG for our device
Sadly, I'm only a student and don't have a credit card to donate, but I would be very happy with a developer like you working with our device
I am ready to donate, Last time i didnt donate due to some problem, but this time i am ready to donate
I am happy guys by looking ur response. I am just waiting of podanimesh's response.
I can donate 10€ via paypal. Of course I would see first how many people are going to support this idea. It would be great that Napster helps codeworks in getting a stable porting of cyanogen mod.

Cool down, I did read the OP and I still confirm what I wrote. If Napster wants to develop on this device, he might consider to help codeworkx as well, I don't see any conflict in this. And I am sure that most people here would be happy to donate if this leads to a stable CM.
Do you understand now? or do I need to better explain my concept?

There isn't any conflict man, it's ok hehe
+1 @frank
ya, obviously Napster will provide many things other than the USB OTG if he has our device on hands. Hopefully he and Doomlord will make I9003 development better and better. Before that, we need to consider donating in order to get the device. I am so happy because there are a lot of efforts showed to make things better for us and our beloved I9003!
I also would donate. I think this is a very good idea, and we must do it. How many people would donate for this proyect? It would be a great idea to make a list and count participants, and that would make people be more sure about the proposition....

Really thanx doomlord. Dont have words to say thanx. I am sure that our community will surely now take device developement seriously. Its like rebirth of our device for developement after Skin & Amit's valuable work. After codeworkx you are like jackpot for us.

That's about 220 €, no? Codeworkx's one was new and costed 250 (the biggest part of the donation came from Europe). At this price I'd prefer donating for a new one.

[CLOSED][ENDED]Crowfunding for @mickaelmendes50 Poco F2 Pro development device

Hey guys, as you know, currently the Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro (lmi) doesn't have an active developer's community working to bring up Custom ROMs, Custom Recoveries etc.
Two of us @raystef66 & @Cave_diver), who are currently building for the Xioami Mi9, have decided to purchase the Poco F2 Pro and plan to build/develop for it.
However we are still missing some key skills and would very much like to win over @mickaelmendes50 to help with our project.
Our goal is to work together as a team and to bring up AOSP ROMs and a stable recovery for lmi as soon as possible.
Mickael is currently very active developing and maintaining on the Poco F1 and would very much like to join our effort, yet he is lacking the device and funds for purchasing it.
If you are interested in supporting and accellerating this project by getting Mickael on the team, please consider helping with his crowdfunding.
You'll find information about his plans and his PayPal for donations in the post below.
Please keep in mind that while the chances of success will increase significantly by supporting this effort, Mickael will be under no obligation to release any finished products.
The entire purpose of this donation is to enable him to work with us towards achieving what we all want, a solid device tree, a working recovery and fully functional ROM's
Yet as you all know development is not easy, life sometimes changes plans and you can never guarantee a specific outcome.
Looking forward to your support

@raystef66, @Cave_diver & @mickaelmendes50
Hi everyone, my name is Mickael (@mickaelmendes50) and many of you will also know me as Mr. Mesquita from Telegram.
You can also find me on Github.
My current device is the Pocophone F1 and I fully support the team project of developing for the Poco F2 Pro / Redmi K30 Pro as described in post above.
In order to do so, I will need a funding for a device because my current status as a student does not allow me to purchase.
My plans and timeframe are as follows:
Hopefully complete the successful crowdfunding!!!
Wait for device delivery - approx. 4 weeks after the goal is reached.
Wait for the Xiaomi bootloader period to pass - 2 weeks after delivery.
Finally the timeframe for a geting a stable AOSP ROM and recovery - roughly a month after bootloader unlock.
The goal is to reach a total of USD 525 which will enable the purchase and shipping of the device, including insurance and taxes.
Your support would be greatly appreciated!
My paypal information is as follows:
Name: Mickael Mesquita
Location: Goiânia, Brazil
[EDITED]
All donors will be listed in the post below this one, please let me know in your paypal donation if you would like to remain anonymous.
In addition there is a spreadsheet where I will track all the donations and where you can see what is missing to reach the goal.
Thank you everyone. I would be very grateful for your support!
Mr. Mesquita.
Thanks to your generous donations, over night the goal was reached!!!!!!
First of all thank you so much to all of you who are supporting this funding effort!

Thank you once again everyone!

Actually it just started 30 minutes ago so that's not all that bad a rate
And just curious, where else can you get a phone for that price with a notchless Amoled, a Snapdragon 865 and a huge battery. All with pretty awesome Xiaomi build quality?
There was another crowd funding going on on telegram in the past day's for another developer and he actually raised the whole amount in 3 days @400€.
I get an error message while try to donate via PayPal. Is there another way to contribute?
Thank you guys your effort is much appreciated.

The main problem here is Xiaomi. After 90 days no update for a brand new device and 60 days later after that we only get 2 updates but the phone is still full of bugs, fake 5G, even small basics like bluetooth doesn't work. I'm so pissed off and just looking to switch, no wqy to go with Xiaomi without working custom rom anymore in the future.

True, and we're just looking to fund another device now for the 4th developer. So it would be appreciated some can support as well for this fundraise from first post.
As of now we're all joined in our own dev group on TG. and hope we can soon bring out some good news on development

Really. 90 days no updates? That is simply not true.
If you look here, there was an update for the global model in May (initial version), another in July and two updates in August.
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/lmi/
And what's with this 5G being fake? The device supports Sub6 bands 77 and 78 which is well documented. As you probably know 5G is a work in progress, there are different bands in use just like with 4G. Obviously the bands need to match those your carrier uses, you can hardly blame Xiaomi of Qualcomm if your carrier uses something else.
And Bluetooth, actually it works just fine, of course...

Just wasted 5 minutes of my time reading that thread, looks like a troll fest to me.
Firmware updates for the Poco F2 are there, the 5G band in my country (and pretty much all of Europe) is supported and bluetooth works.
So that refutes the claims you posted earlier.
Please don't hijack this thread to complain about the phone or brand. You're not required to like it, you may prefer Oneplus or whatever brand suits you more. And if you have constructive criticism, maybe consider posting it in your thread or any other thread where it is on topic. Thank you.
This might revive my dusty Android compilation environment. Rocking the Poco F2 Pro right now, MIUI is great but... I miss a few Omni things (and MIUI stability is arguable). All in to help.
Great information that something is moving forward in this direction )
