Hi, I'm a WM6 wizard user. Is there a PGP plugin for windows mobile mail app? Is there any mail app that supports PGP? or better still, anyone ported openpgp to windows mobile? Thanks

I'm surprise no one uses pgp for their email.

I tried to goggle about PGP for Windows Mobile but unfortunately no good result. I think pgp corp stops selling this product together with pgp palm...

WM 6.1 DirectPush Changes

My company recently upgraded to Exchange 2007 and in the process must have made changes to the Whale Application Gateway Services because with any 6.1 ROM I get an error related to invalid parameters. Is anyone familiar with the communication layer of activesync directpush and know if there is any way that a 6.1 client can be made to look like a 6.0 client? Or know why Whale rejects the 6.1 clients at all?
Trust me, if I could get my company to risk breaking the other 10,000+ employees to fix my problem at the server I would. But for some reason they are reluctant.

Check this out. Maybe they have included Mobile Device Manager 2008 in their update, and it looks like it handles 6.1 devices differently.

OWA in browser error

Hello,
With Mobile IE and Opera I get the error:
"The data area passed to a system call is too small. (error code 122)" when connecting to the Outlook Web Access server.
On all desktop PC's this works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks
What is the exchange server and IIS version?
Thanks for your reaction.
I've no idea about the server. How can I check that?
We are running all Office 2003 on the PC's.
In the Help screen of OWA in IE it says:
"Microsoft® Office Outlook® Web Access
voor Exchange Server 2003"
Thanks for a little help.
I'll try it out tomorrow and let you know if something comes up ... hopefully.
Sorry friend.
Tried it out today using a Cruise and a Diamond and they both operated successfully.
You should try Microsoft exchange and/or msdn newsgroups and websites for further support if you don't have an IT administrator.
Take a look at Chronobis 0.7.0.13 here. It might work

Lotus based email servers

i have checked in all opereating systems of windows CE in almost all devices
but there is no support for lotus based emails servers wheather i am contecting via gprs or wi fi
the email box opens perfectly but the buttons of forward reply bcc cc are not visible,
i have done jave aplets and this and that but the problem is still there
now thinking to switch on blackberry for the push email facility
or anyone can tell me that any application can help me
now a days um using treo 750v with wm 6
we have it at work, i'll see if I can find the details for you. Notes/Domino are the biggest pieces of **** i've used in my life (that and the several thousand lotus notes "applications" we have)
cud'nt get u
what application i need for this problem?????
would your goodself be that much kind to tell me in brief?????
Ignoring the anti-Domino stance of the first respondent i would suggest you investigate CommonTime. They do a server side push email system designed for WM devices as well as Symbian.
If what you are looking for is a mobile version of DWA then i think you are going to have to wait until your Domino servers are upgraded to version 8.
oh my God
i cant bel that i gonna have solve my problem of email
that was a kind info thx
let me try that soft first
You may also want to try out Seven Beta, they also do a push email soultion for Domino/Exchange and all manner of third party POP/SMTP servers.
Forgot to add this is also a FREE option.

If your domino server is on version 8 or above you can use IBM Notes Traveler http://www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/products/notes/traveler.html
it's far better than MSFT solution because it allows you to replicate signed and encrypted email. that's only my opinion

Lotus notes emails on hermes or windows mobile

Lotus notes emails on hermes or windows mobile
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello People,
Is there is any way to set a lotus email account on windows mobile, I am aware there is a software that is mnotes but is there is any other free software or specific configurations, i need to sync my work emails on my jasjam, I have tried mnotes but its kind of slow, please let me know if you have any suggestions.
As i replied elsewhere, Dev and Hack thread, and the thread has rightly been locked as it was in the wrong place, try Seven Beta.
I have no experience of using it against a Domino server bu tif you have POP/IMAP access to your server from external then it will work out of the box. Either that or try their Domino specific client, not tried it so can't comment. You may need to talk to your Domino Admin and/or firewall guy to get it all to work.
We tried mNotes and had no speed issues, talk to their tech support they may be able to offer suggestions.

[Q] GPG or Open PGP for WM 6.1/6.5?

i am looking for gpg or a newer pgp for windows mobile 6.1 to 6.5
(or any gpg or pgp that will work)
i would love it integrated into an email app but i can not even find
a simple cut and paste or text file gpg text file encryption solution
pgp mobile from symantic appears to be not only costly but requires a "server" for some unknown reason other than marketing..
a clipboard encrypt/decrypt or text app that will encrypt/decrypt
the only app i could find was pgp mobile 1.6 from 2003 and its not compatible with newer keys. and is no longer available
i found a link to "PocketConsole - a Windows NT-like console for the Pocket PC "
but the link (http://www.symbolictools.de/public/pocketconsole/) is dead
is there anyone developing gpg or open pgp for windows mobile?
thanks for any info
nutz
Bumping this question.
