WM 6.1 DirectPush Changes - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

My company recently upgraded to Exchange 2007 and in the process must have made changes to the Whale Application Gateway Services because with any 6.1 ROM I get an error related to invalid parameters. Is anyone familiar with the communication layer of activesync directpush and know if there is any way that a 6.1 client can be made to look like a 6.0 client? Or know why Whale rejects the 6.1 clients at all?
Trust me, if I could get my company to risk breaking the other 10,000+ employees to fix my problem at the server I would. But for some reason they are reluctant.

Check this out. Maybe they have included Mobile Device Manager 2008 in their update, and it looks like it handles 6.1 devices differently.

How Many BlackBerry / GoodLink Converts since AKU 2.3?

Hey all,
I own a Wizard (8125), which I switched from a BB 8700c and then thought I had made a dear mistake.
But until recently, I found out that's not the case. DirectPush is a blessing. It works even better than when I had GoodLink! (and GLA is proprietary, and doesn't aggregate my existing e-mail accounts)
Are there any others who let go of their crackberry just like i did? I'd like to know!
8125 problems
I gave up the 7100g to be the crash test dummy for our company on the 8125.
So far it has been a disaster! I welcome any and all suggestions on configuration. I have SIM/CID unlocked, and have since changed from Summiter's 2.3 to the recently released Cingular 2.25 yesterday. I am in an outsourced corporate exchange 2003 sp2 environment (provider is usa.net).
They(usa.net) have assured me that my account is properly provisioned for Outlook Mobile Access. I have the correct server address, ssl checked, correct user name and password (obviously) and correct domain.
I was getting a message to correct my exchange server password, that has gone away. Now activesync begins synchronizing and then returns to the Comm Manager app with the activesync button disabled (activesync error code 0x80004004)
I have an opportunity to save the company $15 per month, per device if I can pull this off. That's a savings of over $30,000 this year alone!
Help Please!
You could try to setup a free account with mail2web.com and see if you can get that to work for you, If that does work you would be able to go back to your other provider with some confidence that the problem is on their end.
just a thought.
Mail2Web direct push works fine... no exchange
do I need a certificate installed on the 8125 for my OWA site (exchange.usa.net)?

Kaiser Windows Mobile 6.1

Hi Guys,
Anyone knows when HTC will make it available?
Copy / Paste (finally!)
Domain Enroll in Settings (Enrolling in a domain will connect your device with company resources.)
New home screen (pan left and right to check out missed calls, notifications like email, sms, etc.)
Change Master Security Code
Added text input settings
Recent Programs when pressing Start menu
Threaded SMS!
When you compose an email, or SMS, and start typing the name of the contact in the "To:" field, the contact names finally pop up like Windows Mobile Professional!
Internet Explorer now lets you define a homepage, and also zoom in and out using a nice and clean interface
Task Manager now shows CPU usage as a whole, and also lists it by process
Internet Explorer offers 6 zoom modes and copy / paste functionality
IE also uses a new font, which looks worlds better
ActiveSync will now try to automatically configure your Exchange settings once you enter an email address
Wi-Fi indicator in the status bar, just as in Windows Mobile Professional
New "Vista" home screen and theme

Cheers.

Our WM Pro 6 has some of those features already.
We have to wait for MS to put out WM Pro 6.1 first.
slow slow people.. :/
This released update is for windows mobile standard and not pro, alot of people are missing this point (it's mainly for smartphones and not touch screen).
My sources tell me that WM6.1 will be released in 1Q08. Our Kaisers will be one of the first devices to receive this update too. A large part of this will be the integration with Mobile Device Manager 2K8 which was announced at EOM Oct. AT&T was lock-step with Balmer in announcing their support for MDM which is one of the reasons that HTC has prioritized the update (Tilt).
Look out RIM.... MDM provides the centralized security management and OTA provisioning features that have traditionally differentiated WM from BB and so limited WM adoption in US business environments.
Yeah, I think Q1 '08 is the tentative date at the moment although I saw an item somwehere (can't remember where now) that some Motorola phone already has this update at present...

Would be nice to be able to hook up Pocket Outlook to work's Exchange without a VPN, if possible, and work cared.
Threaded SMS, eh? Wonder if Microsoft realizes they're going to need to change their PIM setup to record the timestamp of the SMS when it is received ON THE PHONE, rather than when it is sent through the carrier network. Otherwise, there's going to be plenty of SMS threads completely out of order.
It does

My pocket outlook syncs up with my companies Email without VPN. All you need to do is have you exchange server confirued correctly. It uses push and pull and is extremly easy to use.
There is a video walk through on engagent if you want to see the smart phone version.

I saw in you other post that you are running : 8.1.122...strange version ...
Exchange 2007 SP1 is : 8.1.240.0
And Exchnage 2007 is : 8.0.685.0
What's your exchange ?
SP1 beta 2
rollup package 3 for exchange 2007 is needed
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934402
Certificate?
I also BELIEVE that you need a CA Security Certificate. Self Signed doesn't work. Don't have direct proof of this statement only from reading documentation and the fact that in other arenas (including Sharepoint integration) you have to use a CA Cert.
anyone tried this with getztek ?
0x85010015 - 1
Also have you tried the disable TASKS in Activesynch, soft reset, enable TASKS in sync trick?
0x85010015 - 2
For testing just yourself with a qualititively different phone in terms of either hardware or ROM on the phone - this is a long shot because you don't have others at the Enterprise to test this idea before deciding it is only happening to you or everyone
It is a long PIA to do but actually worked for me the other day. Remember in this case - the clue was that it was only one person in the Enterprise having the problem. All others (with identical phones) were not.
Somewhere DEEP in Google Groups is a discussion (sorry I lost the link) of this error code which saved me the other day when it was only happening to ONE person in the Enterprise.
In essence there is a corrupt entry in their Exchange Storage somewhere. The fix is to:
Back their mailbox up to a PST by ExMerge or Export tool in Outlook
Run the PST repair tool on the PST file
Delete their Mailbox in Exchange.
Run Exchange Cleanup
Create a new empty mailbox
Import their data from the PST file.
Like I say - long shot but worked for me.
I was able to test on a SP1 Exchange 2K7 a real one and it works
Cheers

I use a hosted exchange mailbox, syncing & push email work perfect for me, even with WM6.1, never tried it with the original roms but my cooked one has no issue with exchange for sure!
Hi, I just upgraded to the official Dutch WM 6.1 ROM. Everything is working great... except Exchange sync! I get the error 0x85010015 too. The system administrator says he is already running Exchange 2007 SP1 which would contain the mensioned update.
Does anyone have an idea on what I can try to get Exchange sync working?
Exchange 2007 SP1 here, and works fine with every WM6.1 ROM i have tested (including official ones by HTC)...
Cheers.
I this a production E2K7 environment? Why not install RTM bits???
I'm on HTC's "official" WinMo 6.1 Rom on my Tilt and have no issues with email sync ... as for certs to the listener in the ISA server, you can use self signed (not recommender), but unified certs with multiple alternate names are problematic on ISA Server 2006.

Lotus based email servers

i have checked in all opereating systems of windows CE in almost all devices
but there is no support for lotus based emails servers wheather i am contecting via gprs or wi fi
the email box opens perfectly but the buttons of forward reply bcc cc are not visible,
i have done jave aplets and this and that but the problem is still there
now thinking to switch on blackberry for the push email facility
or anyone can tell me that any application can help me
now a days um using treo 750v with wm 6
we have it at work, i'll see if I can find the details for you. Notes/Domino are the biggest pieces of **** i've used in my life (that and the several thousand lotus notes "applications" we have)
cud'nt get u
what application i need for this problem?????
would your goodself be that much kind to tell me in brief?????
Ignoring the anti-Domino stance of the first respondent i would suggest you investigate CommonTime. They do a server side push email system designed for WM devices as well as Symbian.
If what you are looking for is a mobile version of DWA then i think you are going to have to wait until your Domino servers are upgraded to version 8.
oh my God
i cant bel that i gonna have solve my problem of email
that was a kind info thx
let me try that soft first
You may also want to try out Seven Beta, they also do a push email soultion for Domino/Exchange and all manner of third party POP/SMTP servers.
Forgot to add this is also a FREE option.

If your domino server is on version 8 or above you can use IBM Notes Traveler http://www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/products/notes/traveler.html
it's far better than MSFT solution because it allows you to replicate signed and encrypted email. that's only my opinion

What 6.1 or 6.5 version works with exchange ssl?

I have currently TNT 11.0.4.0 installed
Unfortunatly I cannot sync to our company's exchange server (incl SSL) . It keeps giving me 0x85010013 errors. (The admins won't change there policy for me).
Does anybody have any luck with another 6.1 or 6.5 in this setup?
THX
I've had Cracing's HD 2.1 hooked up to an Exchange 2007 box successfully, but it was a bit of a ball-ache getting certificates sorted out (nothing to do with WinMo - certain incompatibilites with Windows 2003, Exchange 2007 and Windows 7 and certificate services auto-enrollment)
The certifactes are ok for my.
Problems is: The company's server has strict security policy enabled. (So my device can be wiped remotly). Ths causes my problem. Si I will move back to 6.0
(The original MS 6.1 works ok too, but is very unstable)
Found the solution here thoug
