PLease help connecting internet in ppc through desktop computer

PLease help iam using llbasha rom 3.5,when ever iam trying to connect internet in my ppc through my desktop computer,it says connection error and no site is open on my xda2,but internet is working on my desktop computer,please can u tell me is there any settings or way to solve that,thankyou.sorry for my english.

be connected to activesync
check if mynetwork is picked as network in settings->network->network advantage or something
check that activesync on the pc is set to share network with the pda
check that the pc firewall is not blocking the connection

using orbit 2 as a 3g modem

Has something recently changed with the search system ? I've been trying to search for this within the polaris section and getting nowhere. I know this has been asked before but I can't find any mention....
I'm after a faq for using my new orbit 2 as a 3g modem for my laptop. I've found the 'internet sharing' app within WM6 which I can run while connected via a USB cable to the laptop. I've got a web/email bolt on ( fairuse up to 200Mb ) so I think I should be able to connect to the web via my phone and run email/web/vpn on the laptop.
I think I may need some kind of driver for windows so that it recognises the phone as a modem when internet sharing is running.
also once i've got the modem connected I can't quite see how I make the connection to the internet. I'm assuming internet sharing will connect to to 'mobile web', will that give me an internet connection that the laptop can use. Do I need to do anything in windows ie new network connection ?

Just run Internet Sharing and connect PDA to laptop. Polaris with my laptop (win Vista 32 bit) works as modem perfectly and you do not need any other settings.

for Xp u need Activesync to be installed

That was easier than I thought. Just run the internet sharing app and you're away. I'm typing this sat on the train ! Speed isn't too bad ! I'm really impressed. Thanks for your help.

But there isn't any Internet Sharing Option
Hi guys I have XDA Orbit 2 & in Command Manager there isn't Internet Sharing Option as there was in other WM phones, plz let me know

There should be a CAB for ICS around here... try to search for it...

I don't know what Command Manager is, but it's just there in your program's list when you hit Start > Programs

qtek 9000 Internet sharing from computer with usb

I want to share my adsl internet connection from computer to qtek 9000...
I have usb and bluetooth on pc.
Please, tell me, how i can share internet connection from pc to my qtek.
how i can via bluetooth?

Via usb - just connect your Uni and sync it with ActiveSync

Internet via USB from PC ?

This may be obvious to some of you (I hope so) but not to me: when I have my Vox connected via USB to my PC, can it use LAN Internet access ?

It's called Active Sync...
It does, but it's not a very good connection, some programs use it, some don't. You have to check it out!

yeah, we can connect all device (i have hermes, kaiser and vox) all connected to internet through Activesync..i use 4.5 now..

Does that mean that when my phone is connected to my PC via ActiveSync it will always use the LAN connection and not the dial-up connection of my telecom provider? For all programs?

yes. as long as your computer still connected to internet/wifi

Not all programs do this, so take care! Best is to check with radio disabled first.

pda as wifi router

Hello!
here's the situation:
I have a pc with broadband connection, a laptop wifi enabled and a pda asus p750. If i connect my pda with pc via usb and activesync.. voila: internet on my pda. But.. the laptop has no internet .
I know there is a little app called wmwifi routerfor my pda. it turns the pda into a hotspot but it shares internet from mobile operator. I want it to share internet from my pc.
is it possible..?

ok.. what i've done so far:
installed wmwifirouter on my pda
connected pda to pc
started wmwifi router on pda and chose "usb to wifi" connection
on my laptop i can see the wifi connection i just created on my pda, i can connect to it.. but that's all. no internet on my laptop

I messed so much with IPs and Registry for the RNDIS addapter that now WMWifiRouter cant evne start properly the USB
Can you give me the default Registry for HKLM/comm/RNDISFN1/params/tcpip ?
