Hi,
i have been looking EVERYWHERE for software that would allow me to hang up a call after a certain duration(e.g 5 minutes) then automatically that same number back.
The reason for this is that my provider gives me 5 minute free calls. i can talk for hours but i have to hang up and call back in five minutes. so i want something that hangups for me and calls back straight away automatically.
PLEASE HELP. my bill is through the roof because i keep forgetting to hang up.
thanks!
there is a program called self control
i remember reading it somewhere i'll find the link
HELP!
I need the exact same thing, or at least something that will hang up my call before the 5 minutes (i can call back manually)
There is a program for Symbian called Auto Hang Up, but I need it for Windows Mobile (Im using v.6)...
Please help...
found it, only in symbian
Hi, I had a similar phone plan but very abusive, time starts running the moment I pres the "send" key. Before, with a SymbianS60 mobile phone, I used a program named Auto Hangup, which was customizable for incoming, outgoing or all calls and I was able to specify how many time before hanging up.
Since I have been looking for an application like this and with no success; I'd like to know if there is some one who could develop it or if there is some site where could be the basics for programming WM applications... or even porting the Symbian applicaton straight in to WM6; any hint
thanks in advance...
Wouldn't this totally piss off the people you are talking to?
Now I can understand trying to save on minutes but do you really plan on having an hour long conversation with someone in 5 minute chunks with constant redials?
After the 2nd hang-up I just would not answer the phone.

i need too
I remember one for Android, search for automatic end call (not exactly sure about the apps name) in marketplace
phoneAlarm can be configured to vibrate or play some sound after a number of seconds during a call. so this could maybe help you to turn off the phone in time...

HI,
When you download the App you adjust the settings to your requirements and then leave it to run in the background on your phone. If you need to hang-up at 5 minutes then you would set it to alert you say 30 seconds prior to cut-off and you would set the cutoff to be just before the 5 mins. The phone call will auto stop and give you the option to phone the person directly back.
Please do let us know if you have any further questions regarding this app.
Thanks

Yep, screenshots?
And one more thing I heard Call Limiter will not work properly on HD2 with proximity sensors disabling the screen on call. Is it true?
Hey,
I found this thread a week ago and started working on a solucion for android.
The program works with the simultator, but since I'm currently in vacactions I can't test the code on an android device.
Please, tell me if there is still a need for this program...
Edit: first version of the program: http://www.file-upload.net/download-3761631/CallLimiter.apk.html (use at own risk) If somebody wants the quellcode, I can send you a copy via email.
Hi, Thomme
Yes, I would love to have an app that recognizes the calling number, hangs up and calls back. Is it the functionality you are working on?
Thanks

I think that would be possible. on the 22th I'll be back at home and look for a solution.
Hi, Thomme
Any update on this app? Thanks!
Sorry for not responding.
I thought about your idea, but I have one problem: How do is the phone suppose to know when tu hang up and call back?
For example, if the phone is in your pocket obivously you wouldn't want that it calls back. Maybe you can explain your idea a bit more thanks
Yes, I thought about it as well
That's the problem of the feature. But, here is how the logical flow can look like:
1. Identify the phone number that the call is coming from
2. Pop-up a message on the screen: "Number identified. Call back?" Then if you choose yes, it hangs up and immediately calls back.
This way, although it requires human intervention by answering the callback question, it still saves the manual calling back which can be 1 or 2 actions, depending on the phone.
If it's too much work for saving 1 or 2 touch actions, you don't have to develop it. I won't be mad
I juste found this app for android : AutoHangUp
market.android.com/details?id=com.gestionTel.AutoHangUp
This application allows you to hang up and re-call after a pre defined time

I got a T-Mobile SDA and as you might know the radio issues started to kill me. I did get the SP5m latest rom but did not like it since was so minimalistic and also did not have the settings for the GPRS. Installed the Windows Mobile 6 for Tornado Perfect and have odd issues. Slow when you unlock. keys react slow, when receiving a call only you can hear the other person after 2-5 seconds. Same goes when you dial or if you engage a call. Apps run slow, but other times fast. I got the GSM update and a few other apps.
What could cause this problem? Also anyone have a cab file with the Tmobile settings for the usa...
anyone? more info?
no such problem , works fine for me!
The same problem
I got the same problem. Do you know any solution?

i ovecome the issues... i installed dopod wm6 and the new wm6 update and all is great...
it is not perfect!
I recently installed GPSed on my Touch Diamond (Verizon) and it appears to work just fine, except when I attempt to login it says "bad username/password". I know it has a good user/pass and it appears to be connecting to their server. Has anybody else had this problem? Their tech support appears to be non-existent...so any help/ideas are appreciated.

I'm wondering today what to do:
To sell my Nexus S and do not waste my time or to wait for google to fix the bugs.
I'm very disappointed with Nexus S and Gingerbread but maybe in near future if google will fix the problems I would regret if I have had selled my phone.
What to do?
I can't live with:
1) The freezes when pressing home button or back button.
2) Losting cell signal and 3g frequently.
3) Level of sound and speaker.
4) Market lags
5) Browser performance.
6) Gps slow or not fix.
Please help me with that question.
Swap it for another one? I've never had any of those issues.

Trust me bro, don't sell it. Nexus S will watch the evolution of google android.
By the way, I've got all your problems.
What's worse, I am a Chinese...I can't even use the navigation nor pay for an app in the market cuz it just display free apps in China...The wifi signal is too weak...

4) Market delay are due the sync between phone and your market account to see if there are updated apps, you can turn off that option
5) be more specific about this topic, browser works fine, unless you point out what exactly is what you find slow
6) GPS is perfect, no issues at all, try other GPS software perhaps?

Dude, I would say to be patience.
1. I never had those although I had my homescreens acting very slow. Restar launcher and everything was ok... or install another launcher
2. here, with TIM, is normal.. about 3G, as I said on pm , cant say, still dont have data plan :x
3. I thought the same at the first weeks, but now is good for me. What I didnt like was the sound quality...
4.dont have this issue
5. browser could be better but comparing to my old phone, its lightining fast
6. I dont know, some have this issue, some not... for me its fine
Please sell and we can have one less moaning post! God this place is depressing sometimes!
Sound like issues with a Galaxy S phone, but after switching to the Nexus, I haven't really had any of those issues.
1) The freezes when pressing home button or back button.
I don't have this issue because I replaced with LauncherPro.
I also got recently some nice settings of LPP to improve the performance.
2) Losting cell signal and 3g frequently.
Weird, I don't have this issue. Probably this is carrier specific?
I am using Vodafone NL
3) Level of sound and speaker.
I might agree, the speaker is not that loud compared to my old HTC Desire.
4) Market lags
??? No idea, I think this is because your internet connection is slow
5) Browser performance.
Android 2.3.2 improved the browser performance a bit (noticeable).
And I am using Dolphin Mini
6) Gps slow or not fix.
I don't have this issue as well. Sometimes it could take 1 or 2 minutes, depends on the weather itself (cloudy, etc.).
Sometimes, you need to RESTART the navigation app!!!!
Yupe, I found this more than once. I started Sygic Aura and it just cannot get GPS fix. Then I close the app, immediately start the app again, boom! GPS fixed immediately
Hope this helps !

For the people who wants the stock icon for text messaging, because for me it's showing a orange icon, here's the APK extracted from the Stock RAZR XT910, it's bigger than the normal .APK from the stock XT890 but it works perfectly.
The credit goes to ArminRR for the edited app.
Here's a screenshot
Instructions:
Move the .apk file to /system/apk and change permissions, then reboot. That's all
Yesterday something really weird happenned to me, I was flying on an airplane and had the airplane mode on, and took my phone to see the hour, and I did'nt recognized a blue icon on the homescreen, then I realized it was the text messaging icon that had changed to blue (the one you posted), I thought it was a matter of updates or something, but then, when I turned off the cell phone because of the landing and restarted it, the ugly orange icon came back, WTH?

please.... speak english. You are on an international forum, so speak for everyone. If not, PM
In the last packages of Motorola and US-only cellphones the headphones are not included, mainly for saving money but some people say it's an ecological rule because almost everyone does not use the headphones or they own another better.

Yeah, forgot that, one curious thing: this icons are also available in other OSes and other phones from Telcel carrier, now that i remember i saw that icons before on other phones not related to Android or Motorola... :/
Do you have the original orange icon apk? I changed with thus one but turns out I like the orange one more lol.
So I recently purchased a LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition from AT&T, it set up without a hitch... however as soon as my cell phone goes out of range from the watch, when I try to set a reminder/make a call/check the weather etc using the 'OK Google' command the watch just sits there and says... speak now.. followed by retrying, and fails every time.
So basically i'm unable to use 'OK Google' when my galaxy s6 edge is off or out of range from the watch, which makes no sense seeing as the watch has built in 4g LTE, why would it need to be near my phone to use the OK Google command? I bought this particular watch as one of the key selling points that is advertised on AT&Ts website is that you can be away from your phone and still use the OK Google command to perform actions on the phone. This watch is supposed to be a cell phone all on it's own, so why will it not perform something so basic without my other phone near it?
I contacted LG and they said I needed to contact AT&T and guess what... AT&T told me I needed to contact LG. great right?
I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue and if anyone has figured out how to fix this, as what's the point in having a watch with a 4g LTE data connection and it's not using it?
Cheers!

Hi bluebadge!
Added long story short version. =)
Long story short, this AW watch can do the same as a WiFi enabled AW watch such as the Huawei, Sony smartwatch 3 etc. The only difference is that you can make calls, send text and does not need a wifi Hotspot if you have a compatible plan. So if you are familiar with how wifi enabled AW devices work then this new LTE AW device should be familiar to you. IMO, it's a big step in the right direction but there's still a long way.
Long story
Unfortunately this is a common misunderstanding with how current Android Wear devices work even with LTE or even wifi enabled devices. If I'm not mistaken, cloudsync is still the only way for Android Wear devices can get some apps to work without having the watch connected via Bluetooth. "OK google" is one of those apps/functions.
Most google apps that you use on your smartphone and smartwatch still needs cloudsync to function as well as both devices having to be on and connected to a data source.
Until standalone apps are created and/or baked into an AW device then you will need to have both devices on and use cloudsync but even then not all apps are cloudsync compatible. Bummer, right? But that's how it is when you are an early adopter of the first AW device with LTE data capabilities.
I can tell you what I know I can do without my phone being turned on or cloudsync.
I can take phone calls from the watch number and my smartphone number using Verizon messages+ calling feature.
I can get text and answer messages from my watch's number but not from my smartphone. My smartphone needs to be on if I want to get those texts.
I can go running or hiking and have my watch track me.
And there are other standalone apps out there too like a Internet browser, emails and stuff like that but I don't use any of those on my watch.
yes same problem but ok google will not work at all unless I rerestart watch
I have Verzion version. I took first one back and second one has same problem
I've had mine work from its own 4g connection but there's a delay before it finally succeeds, almost like I have to wait for the data connection to wake up after waking up the watch. I'm on at&t btw. Also works fine on WiFi. Oh yeah, and all that without my phone on.

When you say it doesn't work do you mean that the command doesn't work like saying ok google doesn't do anything or when you say ok google it takes you to the command list and it says disconnected?
Sometimes my watch doesn't recognize or hear me say ok google but Google search is still active. I know this because when I go to the command list the speak icon is available and I can tap it and it works. A reboot usually fixes it also.
I have ATT watch with a VZW Note 5, btw.

Verizon does have something ATT numbersync but they use messages+ app. They had it for a while because I used that method to connect one of my wifi tablets to my VZW smartphone numbers to be able to call and receive messages. Someone had suggested to try it on the watch so I did and it worked.
Also, I'm not sure how you got ok google to fully function on your watch without having a phone turned on using cloudsync. I mean I know the ok google command works with or without a phone turned on but I didn't think it would be possible to do a search.
Searching on Google maps works on the watch but not google search since the icon for speak isn't available on the command list.
Ok Google works great right after a restart but after about ten mins will not work at all without a restart. I have changed faces to see if that was problem but that does not fix it.
Same problem here guys. I bought it just because I can use it without my phone. But LG lie us just to buy. I like my watch, but cant make it use HIS own LTE connection. I have a sim card inside the Watch, did some phone calls works well.

I gave it a try, and all it seems to do is keep wifi from being in 'auto' mode, and keeping it in 'on'. This may help people with a poor connection from losing connection, but it doesn't appear to have any effect on Ok Google itself. I still showed the un-synced cloud and couldn't get Ok Google to respond until my phone was reconnected again.

I too am in Oz, just moved away from Mackay recently aswell. I'm curious on your feedback about using your W200 on the Telstra network and over experience thus far, I am in the market to switch back from my gear S back to the Android Wear. Where did you source the device? How was the checkout experience? How much?

New version of Androidwear introduces standalone apps and services that do not require being tethered or talk back to a device. Expected release late September
