Help backing up to SDCard please - XV6700, PPC-6700 ROM Development

I've been trying to get this to work. I got the intructions from this site... http://www.geekzone.co.nz/inane/1119
I put the phone into bootloader mode, and connect to my XP laptop via USB. I run MTTY and click on the USB button. I hit enter to get the USB> prompt.
I type "d2s 74100000 00a00000" without the quotes and hit enter
My mtty screen looks just like the one in the instructions. I took the sdcard out of the phone and set it aside. To test whether it will restore from the SDCard or not, I burned a new ROM with 1 OEM removed to my phone and performed a hard reset. I then put the SDCard with the rom dump on it back in the phone, and put the phone into bootloader mode. I get the screen that says "PRESS POWER TO FLASH". I press power, it says its flashing. It finishes and says it completed succussfully. However, after a hard reset, the ROM that I backed up to the SDCard is not the ROM that is running on the phone, it has the one that I burned to the phone with the 1 OEM Removed.
Has anybody ever tried this and got it to work successfully?

Help, trying to flash.

i was following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 using a PC (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Raphael Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RAPHIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RAPHIMG.nbh file to the root of your microSD Card
5. Remove Sim Card and Restart phone
6. Plug the microSD Card into the phone
7. Press and hold the volume down button, then press the reset button with the stylus. Release the volume down button when bootloader tricolour screen appears
8. Follow the onscreen instructions to start flashing
9. Once phone finishes flashing and says Update Complete, reset with the stylus
10. When it gets to the screen where it configures the stylus, HARD RESET
(hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER (center) Buttons, press the RESET button with the stylus tip, then release the RESET button but continue to hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until the reset screen appears)
11. Follow onscreen instructions to set up your New Rom
fine upto step 8, it goes to the tricolour but then it just stops and it says
RAPHL100
SPL-1.90.0000
MICRO-RAPH (LED) V13
MICROP-RAPH (KEY) V5
PSOC-RAPH STAGE_CVT V0X36
and it just crashes....anyone help me?
FORGOT TO ADD:
It goes to a grey screen and says ' no image file'
This is the guide you should have used.
Sounds like you tried to flash your phone before you Hard SPL'd it.
Good luck!
IMO, USB isn't the best way to flash, because of
- not installed USB drivers for device in bootloader mode
- accidental desktop sleep or usb unplug
SD flash though
- corrupt SD card
- those microSD cards accidentally get dislodged and thus bad flash
i think that the best way is to flash via USB and make sure all drivers are installed... don't touch the computer or phone when it's flashing (maybe move the mouse a bit to prevent screensaver etc.)
I have downloaded kaiser-HardSPLv1, i ran it on the pc.

Your phone is NOT a Kaiser, its a raphael.
You really should have read the guide I pointed you to.
It had the link to the correct SPL for your device.
A little time to read would save you hundreds of $
You may find a fix ( there is a hit and miss solution for this) but you really need to search, read and learn.
Start with this thread.
ah okay thanks alot man, i appreciate you're help.
ive done all that, i get the error {262} it stops at 0% for a few mins then displays the 262 error, i have turned of firewall and ive searched the forum, but no avail?
Okay, i tried to do the hard spl with the sim card and memory card out
but still no avail, ive turned off the firewall and then i ran
RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3 but still can 262 error, please help this is very frustrating!
what happens is that i run through the steps on the RRU, then the phone goes to a black screen, and the progress bar appears, stays at 0% for 2-3 mins then error 262 appears
please help!!
Okay, i have now successfuly hard SPL my phone.
however, i have inserted a ROM in my micro SD hard, pressed volume down and then clicked reset, however i can only see the tri-colour screen and it still says no image .
please help!
OMG
i think i have bricked my phone,
i turn it on and it goes to the TOUCH PRO screen, then nothing happens
ive done it! it worked on the other pc!!! yay
i am using the energy rom standard.

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_obTK4UolmtY/Sjo8vSiryNI/AAAAAAAAAPg/XBDAHTFuBJw/NRG_3.0_Today.jpg
does it work with the raphael ?

No image, screen broken?

Hi guys,
I'm having kind of a big issue. I went for a drive on my motorcycle and it started to rain. My touch pro was in my jacket and got wet.
When I came home, the screen was black and I couldn't get it on. I took out the battery and reinserted it, pressed on and it booted (I felt the vibration that it returns when booting and my keyboard was lightened up) but screen stayed black.
My phone is still under waranty but I installed the energyROM so that voids the warranty. I want to reset it to stock but the problem is that I can't enter my PIN because the screen is black so the phone won't boot and I can't access it with my PC
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings
Get an emulator like Pocket Controller or My Mobiler and you can do it from your desktop.
Also, putting the phone in a bag of rice will evaporate all of the moisture.
I don't see what the emulator can do for me
I can't access the device with ActiveSync since I had it set to "use as disk drive" and I can only see it as disk drive now. (which I couldn't five minutes ago, weird :s)
just connect your device with usb and go into the bootloader by holding volume down and pressing the reset switch. the device will connect to active sync and you'll be able to flash back to stock again
I can't see to get in the bootloader by doing a hard reset
The emulation software also didn't help, they didn't find my phone because of a missing ActiveSync connection.
No, what naKruul means is that you load the .nbh file from the stock ROM to the root of your storage card (search flashing from storage card) and rename it to raphimg.nbh (or whatever it says in the flashing directions), use hardware keys to enter bootloader (PWR/VOL DWN/RESET) then the stock ROM will flash to your device, theres no need to see anything other than knowing what button confirms the flash, which should be in the flashing directions as well.
I think I succeeded in flashing it but I'm not sure.
I followed the instructions as mentioned in the HardSPL thread.
Now when I plug the phone in, I see a file called EncFiltLog.memc on the card which wasn't there before, so I assume something happened. But still the phone is not connecting to activesync, it connects as storage drive.
The daemons don't work either because of the lack of the activesync connection.
So you reflashed HardSPL or the stock ROM?
What you need to do is get the stock ROM back on your device, which should in theory fix your active sync issue, so you will be able to flash back to StockSPL for your warranty return.
Either way, if the screen is out and your covered for water damage, they'll never know what you flashed.
This is what I did:
1. I downloaded the stock *.nbh provided in the HardSPL thread
2. Formatted my SD Card to FAT32
3. Renamed the nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh and copied it to my SD Card
4. Pressed the volume down button and enter button the same time an pressed reset with the stylus.
5. Wait a minute
6. Pressed volume up
7. Waited about 5 minutes
8. Reconnected the device.
How big is the .NBH file?
volume down + enter key + reset switch is hardreset, not reflshing the device. reflashing is done by just pressing volume down + reset switch
It's 514kb

How To Enter Recovery if phone wont access Hboot or Recovery

Ok So my phone wouldnt access hboot and wouldnt turn on and i was basically F'ed and phone repair shops said my phone is useless and that i should throw it away since adb commands wont work but i found a way on how to do, it might take a couple tries but basically i figured out that your pc discovers your phone for like a second and then waits for it to turn on so remove all your sd cards sim cards etc and remove the back cover then remove battery and put it back in then plug in your usb cable to both the computer and the phone then open adb and get the command ready for " adb reboot recovery" and wait there and as soon as you hit the power button on your phone hit enter on the command and it should access the recovery and you can do this to enter the hboot and etc, share plz ;D

HELP! ROM Manager bricked my O3D - Is it fixable?

NOTE: Before we start, I have now googled it and in hindsight I probably should of left RM alone!
Anyway as the title states my O3D seems totally goosed! I selected the recovery flash in ROM Manager for P920, it rebooted and all it does now is show the logo for a second, vibrate then off. I tried the usual tutorial stuff...
Power button, Vol up battery in - it comes up 'USB Device Unrecognised' and then It also keeps popping up 'Unknown Device' however when I click on properties every entry is 'Unavailable'
Power button, Vol Down, battery in does nothing (tried it a million times)
If I do...
Power button, Vol up then apply the battery - Device Manager finds... 'LG Mobile USB Modem', 'MAP SMS' (Other Devices) and 'LGE Mobile Composite USB Device'
No sign of OMAP44xx so the flash tools don't see it... strangely LG Mobile Support Tool sees the phone and tries to update it however it says it has the latest firmware, when I use the update recover option it gets to 15% but then complains that it can't communicate with the phone.
Is it dead? :crying:
Any help would be much appreciated.
dont worry. its not dead. has happened to my phone a trillion times ..
all you need to is try as below:
1. without connecting phone to usb first hold down 3d button then volume down and keep pressing power untill it starts up and then off again , then release all 3 together as it is off and repeat (remember first 3d then volume down and then power). this time just let the power button go on lg logo but keep pressing the other 2.
2. if this doesnt work, then easiest method - download omap4boot for optimus v1.21 or all in one p920 v1.3 by XDA, remove battery, only press down the volume up button and while pressing connect usb. make sure you hear 1 ding of connect , 1 dong of disconnect then 2 dings of connect. after this the ding dong should end .. if you have all drivers installed , then it will install omap drivers. a window will pop up and everything will have a green check. once it does that you can install a custom recovery twrp or cwm using fastboot . boot into recovery and flash a rom.
still if doesnt work, have patience, post a reply and will tell other steps to proceed with .....
Thanks for your time RVBSD, unfortunately (although I will keep trying!)
In No. 1 - I get the first logo, but when I re-apply the 3D/V and power, I don't get the second logo.
In No.2 - I get the first ding/dong then just 1 ding, no sign of Mr OMAP! - I'll keep trying though.
Once u get the second ding and then this music stops, Open device manager. Look for lg usb modem and disable it. Then look for omap44 something. The device manager may be refreshing quickly. Somehow i had a chance to right click on omap device and chose update driver. Select manual and choose omap.inf from the folder that u have to download as per my previous reply. Restart computer and check again.
Alternatively you can install all inf manually, right click and install, before connecting the device.
Let me know
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
Again, thanks again for your input but I am still no further. I manually clicked the inf and it said it installed fine... but nothing changed in Device Manager. I then attempted to 'force' the driver on the unknown device, however after it installed it returned a 'Code 10' error... unable to start.
Even tried the service software 'LGNPST' but it couldn't even connect to the port! ho-hum...
i tried it again. even on my computer it didnt take the omap drivers this time.... strange .....
but i could install fastboot, then installed cwm recovery . then flashed a rooted rom and its working ...
1. Turn off your Phone, pull out battery.
2. download omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.21 (run "start_fastboot.bat" (it will wait until phone connected)
3. connect phone with USB cable without battery, the usbboot will start
4. insert battery while the usbboot is waiting, it gives 5 secs only
5. unplug USB cable the LG logo will appear with fastboot on top
6. download the attached files to your desktop and extract
7. open cmd and in cmd navigate to fastboot.exe location, where ever downloaded
8. run fastboot.exe from cmd and choose the cwm file to be pushed to your phone
command : fastboot -s flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.9-p920.img
9. reboot device into recovery , try to wipe cache and factory reset and try to reboot
if this works it will take you to existing installed rom, then you can reboot to recovery and flash Su_Bbox_1.20.2_gazhead_signed.zip to root it
10. else copy a custom rom to sd card , insert in the mobile , reboot into recovery and flash the cutom rom
PLease help
CAn you tell me how can mount recovery partition

Question TA-1188 in red state, can't unlock bootloader and OS won't start

I tried to downgrade from Android 11 to Android 10 a few months ago. Back then I had no knowledge about everything related to Bootloader Unlocking and other things.
I followed a tutorial. But my phone got bricked. So I followed an unbrick guide a few months later. I got it back to a state where I have basic Fastboot access.
But when I try to start the phone, is says Red State, Your device has failed verification. Incorrect Signature. Please download Image with correct signature or disable secure boot.
Now I don't have the Bootloader unlocked. I also can't do that with Fastboot. Results in the error that I am not permitted to do that. I also tried flashing TWRP but it says:
'download for partition 'recovery' is not allowed'.
Is there a way to get it working again? I would really need this phone again.
I have not made any backups. Also It says in Fastboot that my device is called: 0123456789ABCDEF. I dont think that is good because other phones I used fastboot on had a normal name.

I'm dealing with that issue right now and my device won't even charge or turn on. Let me know if you find a fix. Did you try mtkclient already?
I have found a solution to fix red state. I also unlocked the bootloader afterwards and rooted the device.
The solution to fix red state is as following:
1. Go to: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=2188818919693749336 and download the firmware (Its from FIH-Firmware.HikariCalyx.com Tutorial how to unlock bootloader)
2. Open SP Flash tool and load the firmware using the scatter file called MT6761_Android_scatter.txt
3. Select Format + Download and klick the download button
4. Now take your phone (Make sure to have it connected to a charger for over an hour bevore doing this, even tho the charging symbol might not show up) and hold down the volume buttons and while holding them, connect the phone to the pc using usb cable.
5. Wait for it to finish downloading.
6. When complete you should be able to start into fastboot. That can take up to one minute. Try putting the battery back in if it doesnt start after holding buttons over a minute.
7. When in fastboot, make sure the drivers are loaded. For this go into Device Manager. If there is an unknown device called Android, select update Driver > Search on my Computer > Select from a list. Then scroll down to TCL and then select Android ADB Interface. The device manager might tell you that it might not be the correct driver, but just continue.
8. Type into ADB and Fastboot window:
fastboot reboot recovery
9. When you see android laying on its back, hold power button and press volume up button (sometimes you have to press it 6 times), then the recovery menu should open up. Now select Wipe Data Factory reset. Select Yes and let it reset. After that start the phone again.
10. Your phone should start normal now. The startup can take up to 10 minutes. if it hasnt started after 30 minutes, repeat the procedure to reset it.
11. To get IMEI back, you have to unlock the bootloader and root the device. If you want to do that tell me. Its a bit complicated but i can tell you.
Make sure to follow the steps exactly
Thanks for the response, my device is a mt8163 and I have mtkclient if I can find the proper firmware what command would I use to flash the file
