PLEASE HELP!!!
I think i killed my MDA Compact II (HTC CHarmer)
I tryed to flash it, it do by 100% but now is nothing to do i think!
I´m sorry about my english, it´s bad!
Now i can use it like a flash or i dont know now what i can do...
It boots to O2 Screen when i put the Batterie off an the Power cable on.
The Display Blink White and the Led to, and so.....thats it!
I cant connect to PC but the USB cable is not the same like the Power Cable.
I can´t get an connection about USB!!!
Now i´m very sorry about my english but can anybody Help me?
The System what i can see on my sreet at boot is:
IPL 1.05
SPL 1.05
GSM 01.09.10
OS 1.5.4.2
Can i try to flash with SD? Whitch ROM?
I think my great Prob is that i didn´t had an Backup about my device!!!!!

See if you can get into the bootloader. With the phone off, hold down camera and plug in the usb sync cable until the screen comes up. Then you can use flash a new rom to it. Unfortunately the only install package avaliable for the charmer is the wwe english version so your stuck with that unless you can find a german sd backup to flash afterwards. you'll probably need to use Wizard_RomUpgradeUtility_noID first to install it.
It´s not work when the usb sync cable is connected!
It only works with the power cable. But when i go to the bootloader with the power cable and switch to usb sync cable the screen is Black!!!
Can i use a SD-Card flash???

Hello,
Ihave killed my mda compact 2 with wrong Rom (Qtec)
Now the mda come only in bootloader modus with power plug in !!!!
without usb or serial sign on the left side !!!
with original usb cable it does only blinking the Display !!
Have i a change with usb cradle ???
what can i do ???

you should be able to use an sd backup, once youve got one on the card entering bootloader will prompt you to download it.

My S200 doesn't work. Why?
Because:
1-I had a version of OS - 2.13.9.26 (versao em Portugues)
2-I update for AKU 3.2 ( PDAMobiz_Prophet_WM5AKU3.2_v3231)
3-Tried to unlock ( lokiwiz03a)
4-S200 doesn't work well, didn't receive calls (only rings when I choose Start> Phone), it was impossible saw the contacts, etc. So I tried install AKU 2.3 (2006-11-12_Prophet_WM5AKU2.3_lvsw_edition);
5-The instalation was longer than 30 min, so I restarted.
Now, the phone doesn't start the OS. Stay on "bios" stage:
IPL - 2.09.0001
SPL - 2.13.0001
GSM- 02.30.21
OS - 2.15.13.27
I just tried:
-(2 buttons + restart + Dial button) - for factory default
-restart
What I do now? It's impossible to install another ROM...

-upgrade to the latest Dopod ROM ftp://xda:[email protected]_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID.zip (you MUST do this before upgrading to AKU 2.3 or 3.2)
-upgrade to AKU 2.3 or 3.2
2.3 is more stable... but 3.2 has more features

But it's impossible install other ROM. I can't connect S200 with PC by ActiveSync. I had try all the combinations that I knew to restart, but... nothing.
I think that when I did the first Update, to version 3.2, I didn't make the HARD RESET, I madden a normal reset. And I think, that these is the reason for the message: "ActiveSync can't syncronized with your device, please free memory, or restart your device".
How I do for connect the device to my PC? If I don't connect my device with PC it's impossible install anything.

Yes, u don't need activesync as long as the USB is detected when you plug it into the device.

I am using a stock AT&T ROM and really didn't want to mess around with cooked ROMs. However, I think I need to change radios due to poor reception, so I guess I have to flash HardSPL.
In hopes of getting answers, rather than flames, please let me mention that I have read SO MANY threads on HardSPL its not even funny. This includes the Wiki (including "SPL Questions") and the Jaberwock threads (the new SPL release thread and the White screen thread).
The Wiki makes no mention of removing the SIM card and advises:
1. Get the SPL file (in .NBH format) that i want to flash along with the KaiserCustomRUU.exe and put it in a folder on my PC.
2. Plug my device into my PC
3. Copy JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe to my device. I use JumpSPL because I have the "White Screen" issue, if you don't, you can use SSPL-KAIS.exe.
4. Take out my SD card
5. Run JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe on my device
6. Wait for the bootloader screen to appear and "USB" to show.
7. Unplug my device from the USB port, wait 5 seconds, plug it back in.
8. Run KaiserCustomRUU.exe and flash the SPL
The Jaberwock thread on "white screen" has removal of the SIM card as step 2.
1a. download the 5 attached files
1b. pull out the battery and reinsert it (this step *is* important)
1c. connect your PC to phone with a USB cable
2. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !!
3. copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe to your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you still get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe
4. after a few seconds "USB" appears on the phone display
5. unplug and replug the usb cable
6. deselect "Allow USB connections" in Activesync connection settings
7. now flash hardSPL (run KaiserCustomRUU.exe from flash-hardSPL.zip on your PC)
The problem is - if I unlock the sim door, the phone shuts off immediately. If I try to power up with it already unlocked, the phone says I need to lock the door.
Can someone please let me know, for example, if the Jaberwock requirement to remove the SIM card is in error? If it is, can I just do the Wiki steps (without the SD card in) so I can simply plug in and run the file?

Very simple:
remove SD card
leave your sim as it is (in your phone)
soft-reset
put Jump-Kais1.93 on your device
run it
tricolour screen:
wait for USB to show up (if not, remove cable and reinsert it)
flash using kaiserRUU
et voila.
(this is done on a HTC TyTN 2 unbranded device, use this information at your own risk.)
So shut the door and lock it!

Have you tried actually locking the SIM door with nothing in it, as the phone is telling you to do?
I have used my Tilt without the SIM card, strictly as a PDA, while using the SIM card in another phone. I have done Hard-SPL, and flashed new ROM's, with the SIM card out. You just have to relock the cute little SIM card door!
I am a bit confused about the flashing process regarding the SPL. I never flashed a ROM in my life and was hoping someone would help.

After reading about some of the ROMs out there, I am going to start out with Death v4 by shogunmark when it is released.
My question is, do i need to flash Jockyw2001's HardSPL v.1 first so i can have the ability to CID unlock and security unlock the device, Flash Death V4, flash the chosen radio, then flash HardSPL 3.29?
Or does Hard SPL 3.29 CID unlocks the device without needing to go though HardSPL v1

Simply,get the phone in Bootloaders by pressing Camera + soft reset,it'll go into Bootloaders (RGB) and hook up the phone with pc via usb cable,watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloader Screen,if its there just run the RUU in the rom,it'll start to flash.

Yes, my Wizard is in bootloader mode (the usb indicator is here), but when I run the RUU, no device is detected (it's normal because RUU needs activesync connection) !!! Same effect with the official ROM !!

Perhaps you can try the sd card method, but one of the guru's here would have to confirm that. When my usb was busted, that method was suggested to me (click the link in my siggy). I don't have a G4, so I am not sure if the sd method would even work, but it is worth a read, and like I said, perhaps one of the guru's could confirm or deny this method.

Untill a few minutes ago I had a similar struggle; my Activesync connection was down exactly when I wanted to flash my device; I read all what was readable and after trying to flash tie new rom from the card, i just realised that if i press the usb cable firmly into a direction, the device suddently got recognised. SO, i guess that too much use of the usb port gets electrical contacts to get loose.

If I want swith on - everything stop on first logo.
I can swith on this device in bootloader mode, after it I readed this:

Today i download some rom file :
Build_5.2.1616.18120_____v3.7
but after flashing try - i see error "device is not connected".
With phone off, press and hold CAM button and plug in your USB Cable. As long as you see USB like on lower left of screen, as you have posted, you are good to flash. You might be using wrong ROM or wrong procedure. Make sure you follow Karhoe's guide for TORNADO. Under worse situation, flash with ShipRom which you can find on FTP and you'll be back to OEM state. Good Luck!
FYI: I'm using Nitrogen's WM6.0 SP1 and latest radio on his thread.
