Me again,
I have got an MDA II with TomTom Nav 3 and some CCD parking/surveillance cameras (PAL video output) with TFT display in my car. Both disps are fixed to my dashboard, although I just need one at a time. Is it imaginable to get the PAL signal onto the MDA (e.g. via USB video capture device)?
So long
The back pack does that using composite video out or S video.
BackPack
Thanks, but I think the back pack does the opposite. I don't want video out - I would like to use my MDA II as display for my cameras, so I would need video IN.
Hi,
I just upgraded my SPV M1000 from WM2003 to WM2005 (1.60c WWE version).
I've installed the tomtom software on my pda again but when I run tomtom the BACKLIGHT on the pda doesn't come on. The backlight stays off even when I exit tomtom.
Also, the video camera quality is poor compared to WM2003.
Are there any solutions?
Kind Regards
If you go to buzzdev.net there are instructions on how to edit your tomtom navigator exe file to correct the backlight problem using a hex-editor, and also an updated exe file to download if you don't want to diy. Not sure about the camera though, although I realised after I upgraded my XDA2 to WM2005 that the defualt resolution on the camera wasn't the highest, so it might just be something as simple as changing the resolution....
I have trawled the forums for an answer to this but I can't find any detail anywhere. I have an Orange M600 (branded prophet) running AKU2.0.0, unmodified from the original excapt a) I stopped the Orange branding CAB on initial boot and b) the tornado drivers (below) were installed
I have installed the Tornado drivers, that worked first time, and when I pair my Nokia HS12W headset I get offered the Wireless Stereo option.
However, I cannot get any audio to pass across to the headset. I have read in many places that this headset works well with A2DP and AVRCP so I think I should be OK there.
I get no icon on the today screen, and Windows Media Player & Pocket Music both fail to see the connection. I fI press any buttons on the headset nothing happens on the device.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Hello. My wife's Treo 650 is finally about to give up the ghost, and so it's time for a new phone for her. I'm wondering, what's the absolute smallest windows mobile touchscreen smartphone on the market, with GPS built in? No need for keyboard or keypad, just small small small (and hopefully halfway decent battery life). HTC Artemis?
Thanks!
Polaris probably?
It appears HTC made the HD2 recognize a carkit, in stead of a normal power supply due to a different pin config. Sadly my active Brodit HD2 holder doesn't have this specific pin config, so the HD2 doesn't recognize it as a carkit. This makes it impossible to automatically switch on the Bluetooth, and some other apps.
Would it be possible to change some dll file or similar, to let the HD2 think every power supply is a carkit?
Are you sure it's a different pin config?
I've read somewhere that is has todo with removing the backcover (the metal part) and two magnets will activate a switches which are behind the little squares next to the red reset button and one on the other site.
p.s. i installed the navpanel and took a bunch of magnets but no magic ....
Yes, it has to be a different pinconfig, as the converter-cable I use (mini-USB to micro-USB) gives the wanted carkit effect too. Sadly I cannot use that cable between my carkit and phone.
I assume the backcover for the navipanel also short-wires those two contacts inside the back of the telephone to invoke the same reaction?
