Remove "Windows Live" from contact type - General Topics

Tried searching but I could not find a solution to this. This is NOT the issue everyone was having with WL syncing contacts to the phone. On to my problem....
I have an HTC 8925 running OEM WM6 and have been playing around with Windows Live and Live Search. I have installed Windows Live and un-installed it twice now. After each install it has added a "Windows Live" contact type to my contacts. If you have WL you can see what I mean by going to add a new contact. There will be a contact type for WL. I currently have these contact types:
Outlook Contact, SIM Contact, Windows Live, and a duplicate Windows Live.
I have since un-installed WL and Live Search completely from my phone, but the WL contact types are still showing up and I cannot find any way to remove them. I would like to remove "Windows Live" from my contact types completely. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do a registry search with the keywords "Windows Live". You might be able to find the appropriate keys if they are in the registry.

My reg editor does not allowing searching, do you know of one that does? Anyways, I've been looking around and can;t find where these values are stored. Does anyone know where contact values are?
Edit: Nvm found it. If anyone wants to know where this is -

How to not-sync Private Appointments?

Hi,
I searched the fora, found only very old threads but no answers.
When I sync my Hermes, I would like it to only sync the business items at work and not my private appointments.
I can mark my appointments as "private" in my outlook mobile, but they still appear on my work desktop.
does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
How about using categories? Just create a category "SYNC" and add this to all your business contacts. Obviously you'll have to adjust your ActiveSync settings accordingly.
I don't think it's possible to control exactly what syncs across. AS far as I know it's really an all or nothing.
/anyone get the pun?

Chome shows too many emails accounts (FIXED)

I tried a version of windows live (& messenger) that I uninstalled later since messenger wouldn't work. But now in my sliding panels, I have the Windows Live email account left over even though the actual email account is not present anymore. I found a new version of WLM that works and it created it's own email account and added it to the sliding panel as well. So now I have 2 WL email accounts showing in the chome panel, 1 called Hotmail and it works fine, 1 called Windows Live which is the left over one.
I've searched the registry and files for some sort of reference to "bad" install of windows live, but can't find nor can I get rid of it from my sliding panels.
Any idea where the sliding panels is getting this email config information?
EDIT: Appears this has something to do with a database as I tried adding a test account calling it Windows Live and I get a prompt stating that the account name already exisits, so the issue is in the OS not chome. Any help would be appreciated...
issue is related to cemail.vol database. Using many posts I found a solution. I could have just deleted the window live stuff from the db but I decided to empty the whole thing to see what would happen. All I had to do is setup my exchange account again and I was good to go.

Pocket Outlook settings?

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to build a small utility that would correctly set up Pocket Outlook for my e-mail account. Whenever I flash my device, I want to run this little program, removing the need to manually configure it.
The problem is that I can not find out where Pocket Outlook stores its settings. I'm pretty sure it's not in the registry (where I would expect them...). Can somebody help me with some info on this?
It's a WM5 device.
WIth kind regards,
Jurrie Overgoor
I've already found the answer, so for future reference: check http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa457968.aspx

Windows contacts

Hey there,
I'd like to refresh my contact list. I'd like to use Windows Contacts or Windows Live to sync them with my Mails (what would be included in Live) and my phone. I can add contacts in Windows Live, but I cannot add a picture to them But I can't add new contacts in Windows Contacts... Normally, there should be a button to add a new contact, but even if I press right click -> new -> contact I cannot ad another one. What did I do wrong?
Another problem is that I cannot get the contacts from my phone to my computer. How can I do that?
I do not use Microsof Outlook, so this solution is unfortunateley not the right fo me.
Bye,
Chris
don't believe that activesync or vistas sync support anything but outlook
I would try to google alternativ sync programs to solve this if I were you
you may have to buy the sync program though
Think the Seven Beta program does sync of contacts with Windows Live. I know it is primarily and email delivery prog but as far as i can recall it also does sync betwee Windows live and your phone. Think it also does Google as well. I have never needed it for that as mine is all managed OTA with an Exchange server.

Exchange Outlook Deleted Items

I've searched throughout the forum and found others who have asked this, but never an answer. Apologies if it's buried somewhere though.
My WM Outlook does not allow any way of displaying what is in the Deleted Items folder when it's sync'd with Exchange. Let me clarify that this is intended Windows Mobile behaviour - deleted items get deleted from the device and moved to Delete Items on the Exchange server.
However what I would like is to see on my device is the contents of that Deleted Items folder. Sometimes it's useful to go back and check something you've deleted. Most other folders can be sync'd with Exchange so you see the contents on the device as well, but that option (Menu>Tools>Manage Folders) isn't available.
This behaviour is on WM6.5 on a Touch Pro2, but it's true for other versions of Windows Mobile and devices.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Mark
