I've searched everywhere but cant find a solution to this: I bought the HTC wired usb headset for the Tilt. With Cyberon voicedial, the button on the headset would activate the app and worked perfectly. As I prefer MS Voice Command, I then went ahead and uninstalled Voicedial and installed VC, but button doesnt work now. Anyone know how to remap the headset button to voice command?
Try this reg, should do it.
Thanks, I'll give it a try...what changes does it make?
Sometimes after installing MS Voice Command you need to do a reset once or twice before the BT headset is reconized properly. (battery out and back in...) And, some BT headsets don't work well at all. MS's BT driver set has a history of being bad.
I think you misread my post...I was asking about the WIRED headset, not the BT one.
okay my question is that the software that came with my tilt- voice dail thing, cyberon will only work if I activate it by clicking the icon, however, I can't start it with a BT headset that I have, can anyone help?
well first fo all did you even activate it for you to use it?

I've not got my XDAII yet.....but curious to know whether this setup works, i.e. XDAII installed with MS Voice Command and wearing the Bluetooth headset - do the voice commands work ok through the headset down to the XDAII or do the commands have to be spoken to the XDAII directly ? Also, is it necessary to have to push a button on the XDAII before you speak to it - or does it listen all the time ?
Thanks for your help,
Nutz
Voice Command doesn't work with a Bluetooth headset.
You need to press a button on the XDA2 to invoke VC and make it accept a command. This must be because it's so sophisticated that if it listened all the time, it would a) run your battery down, and b) hear commands that you didn't intend.
but even....
so, there is no way to make my XDA II work as my old SonyEricsson T610 (on SE T610 - when I perss button on headset and say voice command into it and than it repeats me that command for check and running it...) - no way to achieve even half of this on XDA II ?

I understand it can be done using the supplied wired headphone, but no, not with bt headset. Too bad!
is this the same as voice dialing ?
my bluetooth headset manual says to press the button and speak the command to dial the contact
this is a Sony-Erricsson HBH-35
surely some software somewhere for the XDAII would support this ?
Hello,
I'm using an Atom with WM2005 and the BT headset R35 from i-tech. This allows you to control the wm player via bt. By starting the voicedial from the standard button on the BT HS, i encounter unbearable sound problems and the sound from MS Voice command 1.6 is not transmitted at all... I don't know why, but that's the case.
When I start the voicedial from my phone instead all the rest works perfectly via BT. Means, I can not use the standard button from the BT HS. Therefore my idea: Activate voicedial from a different BT button, there are enough, for instant the one that pause and resumes the wmplayer. The button also wakes the phone up.
Any idea if this is possible? can i change a registry entry to handle this event or use a tool, like the one to reprogram the hardware buttons???
Any experiences, or similar problems?
Cheers
Ellork
Did anyone manage it to run MS VoiceCommand via a bluetooth headset on this device?
Ok, I installed the latest version of voice command on the new O2 XDA Orbit 2.
It works good with the bluetooth headset without any patches.
However call notification does not work. Does anyone have any idea for that?
How can I disable Voice Command and make all sound being routed to the headset?
The solution with Mortscript (posted somewhere else in this forum) does not work... any other idea?
ulischultz, how did you manage to get ms voice command to work? I've got the HTC Touch Cruise, and I can't get MSVC to work via bluetooth. Works fine on my AT&T tilt with no hacks.
Dave
I am having the exact same problem: voice command works but will not announce incomming calls. I can't believe how much I've become dependent upon this feature. As for getting it to work, there was nothing special that I had to do other than install it and soft boot.

I was having problems with some random disconnects of my TC from the car Parrot 3200LS BT Handsfree CarSystem.
I found this program mentioned on another site(http://www.htcwizardweb.net/node/456 ):
JETware Mobile (http://www.jetwaremobile.com/
I installed the trial today and so far it appears to be making a significant difference with the TC and MS VoiceCommand.

I have a G3 Wizard and a Samsung WEP200 bluetooth headset. I flashed the TNT professional rom to my wizard last night and installed MS Voice Command 1.6.
The bluetooth headset works fine for voice commands (I can even hear the program talk to me through it), but when I call someone by pressing the button and saying "Call person", it dials and then doesn't activate the hands-free option of the phone. I have to manually hit "Menu" and then "Turn Hands-Free On".
If I dial by hand or clicking a contact, it turns it on automatically. How can I make it turn on the hands-free function of the phone automatically after using the MSVoiceCommand option for calling someone?
I've searched the forums for quite a while, and can't seem to find a solution to this. If there is already a solution, please point me to it. Thanks, everyone. I appreciate any help.
UPDATE:
This issue seems to only happen when the bluetooth headset is turned on while the phone is already on. If the phone is rebooted after the headset is turned on, it seems to work fine.
Heyhey,
Although there are a few threads on this which I have googled my way through, none of them seemed relevant, or looked way out of date.
I have Microsoft Voice Command installed, and it used to work just fine. Now however, I press the button on my bluetooth helmet, or my bluetooth car kit... nothing happens. A long press results in redialing the last person I called.
Voice command does work if I press and hold the button on the phone itself, but this isn't very practical (if at all possible) on my bike.
Was just wondering if there is a way to make it work again? Perhaps there is a way to remap a long press on the bluetooth device to activate MSVC?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks a lot,
Chris
its short press for me. really short press. if i press for about a second on my headset it redials last number, if i press it for less its voice command.
Thanks for the reply =]
Unfortunatly it's a no go for me with that one. But was worth a shot!
It really depends on the headset. I've heard of people having problems before, and they usually are due to assigning Voice Command to something other than long-press of the Send key.
Try placing Voice Command back in its 'original' place and press your headset again.
Thanks all for the replies.
It now works with my handsfree in my car (I reflashed with a different ROM, and it seems to get on better).
The bluetooth helmet still doesn't accept voice commands, but I'm starting to think it's a limitation of the helmet, rather than something wrong with my phone.
Thanks anyway.

What Brand/Make of helmet do you own? I was looking at a bluetooth enable helmet, but if it isn't compatible with voice dialing, I'll probably look elsewhere.
Thanks.
Hiya,
Its the Viper RS V121 Blue 2 helmet. You can intercom via bluetooth if the pillion also has the same helmet which is pretty cool - although it is not a quiet helmet for anything above 50mph!
Still cant make it work through voice by using the button on the helmet though.
