I'm a noob to PDA things but I decided to upgrade my S200 to WM6 (that was NOT a good idea!)
After downloading this http://rs23l34.rapidshare.com/files/17953287/3266540/smart1_wm6_pp8mb.exe file I run the upgrade batch file BUT it was working for 50min so I unplugged the device. I probably should not do that!! ...because there are some problems: no ringtone for incoming calls, no digits to dial an outgoing call and many theme problems.
Now I'm not able to connect it to activesync (4.5) to do a downgrade because a message comes up that says "ActiveSync cannot connect to the WM device" and there's a network icon on the tray with limited connectivity. I did 3 hard resets by holding power + camera + comm manager buttons + reset and I've tried the trick with the camera button pressed while powering on and after connect it to USB but still nothing...
Can someone help??? I'd like to have WM6 installed but I really have to fix my phone even If I have to setup WM5 again.

Try to make a RUU downgrade in bootloader mode!
Way 1: Download the ROM from the 02 homepage and after 15 min you have a fully useable WM5 device!
Way 2: To reinstall an another WM6 Rom you have to flash AKU2.2 and then you can try to install a different WM6 Rom! You can find AKU2.2 in the threads of the WM6 Roms. The name of the file is often ...TEMP.zip like in PDA Viet!

How I'll do that? There is no connection to activesync
Is there any way to flash from the memory card?
In active sync, disable connect through USB. Then enter bootloader (Camera button and soft reset), and then run the RUU. Your device should start properly now.

Hello,
My S200 doesn't work. Why?
Because:
1-I had a version of OS - 2.13.9.26 (versao em Portugues)
2-I update for AKU 3.2 ( PDAMobiz_Prophet_WM5AKU3.2_v3231)
3-Tried to unlock ( lokiwiz03a)
4-S200 doesn't work well, didn't receive calls (only rings when I choose Start> Phone), it was impossible saw the contacts, etc. So I tried install AKU 2.3 (2006-11-12_Prophet_WM5AKU2.3_lvsw_edition);
5-The instalation was longer than 30 min, so I restarted.
Now, the phone doesn't start the OS. Stay on "bios" stage:
IPL - 2.09.0001
SPL - 2.13.0001
GSM- 02.30.21
OS - 2.15.13.27
I just tried:
-(2 buttons + restart + Dial button) - for factory default
-restart
What I do now? It's impossible to install another ROM...

-upgrade to the latest Dopod ROM ftp://xda:[email protected]_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID.zip (you MUST do this before upgrading to AKU 2.3 or 3.2)
-upgrade to AKU 2.3 or 3.2
2.3 is more stable... but 3.2 has more features

But it's impossible install other ROM. I can't connect S200 with PC by ActiveSync. I had try all the combinations that I knew to restart, but... nothing.
I think that when I did the first Update, to version 3.2, I didn't make the HARD RESET, I madden a normal reset. And I think, that these is the reason for the message: "ActiveSync can't syncronized with your device, please free memory, or restart your device".
How I do for connect the device to my PC? If I don't connect my device with PC it's impossible install anything.

Yes, u don't need activesync as long as the USB is detected when you plug it into the device.

this guy is my dear friend, he's got a G4 device, and has flashed the wrong wm6 rom on his device, and successfully broke it!

Did you read all the instructions before flashing the device?
Try to get into the 3 color screen and reflash with an official ROM.

However,
I have successfully connected my Phone with ActiveSync 4.5 on WinXP SP2
Then I run an RUU Utility.
The Phone goes into Bootloader (RGB Screen) and then the connection is lost.
From then I couldn't etablish a connection to the Phone.
Is there another way to flash the ROM of my Phone ? e.g. from SD Card directly ?

I would join to this question - I have the same problem: somewhere in the middle of flashing my Prophet with Prophet_PV_Temp my Prophet started a dead-cycle with connecting-disconnecting...And I can not reflash it. Now I also have Bootloader (RGB screen) which is on when Prophet is not connected to PC and when I connect it to PC, it disconnects-reconnects-disconnects-reconnects-......
What is the solution?

So ,finally I found the solution with this issue and problem with my Prophet's restarting after it's registering to the cellular network (I wrote about it in another treeds as well).
After I tried to reflash my Prophet with different WM6 ROMs, different Radio ROMs, reassembled and cleaned it, reflashed to original WM5 ROM and nothing helped, I just came to an idee to replace the battery, unless Prophet indicated that still it's a lot of power (min 50%)...I ordered the battery and when I received it and replaced, everything is running as it should be!!!!
I've XDA neo ,and it's Rom version is old and german one , I want to update using AKU 3.3.13
I start it , but it lasted more than 40 minutes without any result , so I disconnect the pda , and restarted it ,but it stopeed at O2 screen ,the first screen at all ,where typed :
IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.15.0001
GSM 02.19.21
OS 3.0.0.0
I don't know what to do now ,plz help me to solve this problem

What ROM (the update) where you trying to isntall? Was it an official one, or a cooked ROM?
Try to enter bootloader (the three colour screen) bu pressing and holding the com manager button and performing a soft reset.
If this works, download the latest version of active sync and install it, and once that has completed, restart your computer.
Download a WM5 NVID (No Vendor ID) ROM from here and unpack/unzip it into the root of a harddrive (i.e.: C:\WM5ROM\).
Now, put the device in bootloader mode, and within ActiveSync DISABLE connect through USB (Tools->Connection Settings->Uncheck Allow Connect through USB) and plug the device into the computer.
Now run the RUU from the WM5 ROM you downloaded earlier.
Your device should now work.

By mistaken i wrote some file to my bootloader in my I-Mate Jam ..
That was after using the bad ROM : 2.03
it's the worst cooked version i saw !
Now my bootloader mode is working .. but no way to connect to PC with USB port ..
My computer does not recognize my Magican when plugged in bootloader mode anymore!
Bootloader Ver: 1.0
is there any way to fix or upgrade or restore original bootloader
Now i cant upgrade or downgrade my magican by any method
Noway to use successful connection with any roomupdate utility
Please help me to fix or restore my bootloader!

i'm sorry that happened mate...
i've had success with flash-from-bootloader attempts before, both on my Magician, when i accidentally flashed off of Vista and it'd enter the bootloader every week or on a reset using the reset hole, and also on my Wizard when i ignored warnings from WM5torage and it'd only enter the bootloader
what precisely happens when you connect to the PC, allow USB connections in AS/MDC, and let the phone enter bootloader however it does? i can just flash a rom from there, but i won't (iirc) get any reports of as recognising the device...
My experience:
1- when i plug my sd card into my jam .. usb not recognized in bootloader mood !!
2- when i use puty or roomupdate it reaches to USB> then when i type any command it does not respond !
3- i could do something .. i let my phone bootup and this i-mate logon screen stays 4ever .. i connected my ppc to pc and i could explre my imate by activesync ...
i could reach something .. when i explore my phone and remove everything from startup folder .. my phone boots .. and i can see start botton .. no touch alignment comes .. and everything works .. but.. screen is virtually reversed .. i can see the OK botton but i must click on the facing area and it be clicked ..
i think i executed some wrong hard SPL to my phone ant that happened >

that's messed up... howsabout flashing it at the point when the phone boots up? if there's an AS connection there, then it may work... i'd flash to an official rom though

You should check USB connection I think...
Try plug your battery out of device and wait a moment (e.g.10 minutes) and try again,sometimes it will be fine when you did this.
If your magician isn't detected at ALL by your PC when plugging the USB cable into it (i mean, no new hardware; no unrecognized hardware; nothing is detected in your PC when you plug the USB cable), and unless you had previously made a SD backup of your entire Flash with this procedure ( http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=MagicianSDflash ), then your only option will be to build a JTAG diag cable:

For sure cotulla has one built so to test his ROMs + bootloader - maybe he will be willing to give you some directions if you run into problems, and above all, give you a prepared .nb0 (with the bootloader file) for your magician, which i do not know if there's one out there, extracted from an original ROM.

Don't take it wrong what i'm about to say, but in all honesty if you can't figure this out yourself (digging up the internet for the missing pics), i would suggest that you shouldn't try this, since this ain't easy at ALL...
Just to give you some ideias, it will require you to adapt your magician test point signals (TDO;TDI; nRESET; etc,)seen on the magician pinout pic to what is said; solder very thin wires (best done with a small hot air tip); fixate the small dip switch (micro switch) to be always on; keep the USB connected...idk... plus alot of other small details which ain't easy to accomplish.
Personally i haven't tried this yet but for sure it would work

Connection error solution
this is my problem
hi all. A friend of mine gave me an S100, and after i played for a few days with it, i decided to update it's rom. A "country error" problem appeared,cause i have the greek version, so i ran MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe which completed (as showed 100% process). My (new) problem is that i cannot update anymore. Every time i enter boot menu, i ran the upgrade
(HTCMAG_ROM_WWE_O2.rar) following all the steps normally. When the device resets (so the upgrade is going to start), it's re-reseting again and showing ERROR 101 connection error. Any ideas?
