Dear all, I just want to know,
is it possible to connect normal USB keyboard to PDA through, let's say a kind of connector ?
Sorry for my silly question
not an usb keyboard as himalaya dont have the hardware to be an usb host
which mean it can only be connected to over usb not connect itself
there are keyboards which use IR and bluetooth which works ok
and keyboards which use normal rs232 serial which is also connected to the button connector of himalaya

Can you get a USB keyboard for this thing ??
Or would it be just as easy to put both a BT keyboard and the device on charge.
Proper BT Keyboards don't require charge, they use AAA batteries.

They do universal and sierra keyboards. Best stuff around, but not cheap.
As for usb keyboard, your device doesn't have USB host...
HI guys,
I just purchased a headunit for my car: http://www.sevic.com/site/_en_catalogue_sevic_fiche.php?id_catalogue=66
It has a mini USB port on the front and an Ipod 8pin Minidin adapter on the back,
wondered if I could use either to connect my diamond to the stereo as there doesnt seem to be jack in...?
What cables do I need if so???
Cheers,
Biscuitboy
the usb cable that comes with the phone should work . just make sure you select usb drive mode and not active sync mode. then it should work just like any thumbdribve you put in
Yes, but the input on the headunit is also mini USB, so will mini USB to Mini USB work?
Cheers
Has anyone tried this app on HD2

USBInput is an advanced HID Driver for the Windows Mobile platform. Using it, you can easily connect USB keyboards or mouses to your Pocket PC's USB Host connector, and start using your favorite input device.
Plug-in a simple optical USB Mouse and get a real cursor on the screen of your mobile device. Or connect an USB Keyboard and type emails faster, browse the internet easier, or play games more comfortable. USBInput brings more fun and more productivity!
I desperately want to try it ... but i need microUSB male to USB female converter to try anything ... If someone has it.... please give it a go...

There is no USB host support in our Leo, so makes not much sense to play with it.
"you can easily connect USB keyboards or mouses to your Pocket PC's USB Host connector"
BlueInput might help instead, but the current version works with the Microsoft Bluetooth stack only.
actulay it seams that it does have host support

As far as I remember there is currently a person on this forum that was working on a usb host but it had to have external power since the micro usb does not supply 5v like a mini usb can. But it was working and with a usb hub that had external power he was running a keyboard, mouse, card reader.
So do some actual searching and you will find the thread.
Hello, I have a problem with Android
I'm on Gingerbread stock at my Xperia Neo V
Using USB OTG cable, I connected the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 1000 and everything is working great with one problem - the keyboard hides when I connect the mouse to USB port.
Device is reading this wireless dongle as a Microsoft Nano Transceiver v2.0 so I guess it's like a mouse and a keyboard for system, but I have only mouse.
My wired desktop mouse is detected as a USB Mouse and can use keyboard.
I have tried several keyboards but none worked - even OpenWnn with Use Hardware Keyboard unchecked.
Is there anything that I can do, maybe some keyboard?
Not sure if this is right category...
Actually I have a Karbonn a18+ and there is a icon in phone of mouse and keyboard and when I open this it ask to open Bluetooth

When I ask things to my customer care he said you can't connect mouse and keyboard and but I think he don't have idea about this.
So,please suggest me and tell something about this and where can I buy this accessories
