Don't work with VGA

I did a test and the result was not good. I think also the portait/landscape could also be a problem.

tried all.. none good
yes i did try all of them..
didnt like any
so now i installed pocket cm.. which is fantastic...
also installed.. very happy with it.. works very good.. for VGA .. u have
to install separate themes..
Also i liked S2U2, slide to unlock..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=335978
this is one is the best.. works very smoothly in universal.
so my suggestions.. pocketcm & s2u2.
enjoy

Pocket CM & S2U2... great combination. Pocket CM Contacts has the sms bug. its fonts are cut and not aligned. rest is awesome.
Any solution for finger touch scrolling in rest of the system. e.g. programs, internet Explorer, file explorer etc??

Try SPB Plus 4. There is finger scrolling function for almost every native WM application - contacts, Pocket Outlook, PIE etc. Works fine with Uni.

YES! Touch flow works on Universal!!!!
You must use the calibration and after do a soft reset. This is what was missing!
When you run TouchFlo it will work.
Cheers

Internet Explorer touch-scroll very sticky/choppy

I've had my Orbit 2 for one day and find internet explorer unusable, so much that I'm considering sending it back and staying with my hermes/tytn/Orange M3100. The touch scroll/flow is very very sticky and slow.
On my hermes I have SPB Pocket Plus installed with the 'Smart Scrolling' feature on. With this, Internet Explorer finger-scrolling down web pages is super-smooth and fast.
I installed SPB Pocket Plus on my Orbit 2 thinking this would sort the problem out but when installed on the Orbit 2 the Smart Scrolling feature is missing (!?)
I really don't want to send the phone back, so any help with resolving this issue would be very much appreciated.
Please.... This has already been posted so often! Why don't you simply use the search function?
I'll give you one hint, however: ie_slow_scroll_fix.cab
sorry, I did search but didn't find that cab. thanks for the pointer!
I've installed it and scrolling is much improved, but still nowhere near as good as om my hermes with SPB Pocket plus installed with the Smart Scrolling feature.
Does anyone know why the Smart Scrolling feature of SPB Pocket plus isn't available when installed on the polaris (Orbit 2)?
try disabling htc's touchflo 1st?
It appears SBP PP's Smart Scrolling is not compatible with any TouchFlo device. I suppose thats a good enough reason for a little donation to support the chefs with their cooking of a TouchFlo + SPB Smart Scrolling compatible rom.
also u can try PIE for windows 6.1
Why not install the new Netfront Browser 3.5? It's got a really smooth scrooling function combined with tabbed browsing and the zoom-out function (like Opera mini). And it's free until May 31, so you won't have to worry anymore for the next three months.
The IE_slow_scroll_fix.cab, however, made scrolling perfectly smooth on my device. I don't think it could be much better. So perhaps you try to do a hard reset and then install it first or uninstall SPB and then install the cab? It should work almost perfectly...
Think TouchFlo + SPB Smart Scrolling compatible is impossible. You'd have to choose one. That's why I'd rather use SPB which at least comes with updates for bugs.
I agree with maati:
Install Netfront. Maybe till end of May HTC has released a new rom where the bug is fixed.
This worked for me
try this one also.. PIE for WM6.1

Guys, thanks for the suggestions!
I already have Netfont Browser 3.5 installed, and it has a very nice 'action'. Is there any way to get it to scale down the web page to a column like Internet Explorer does?
I've just tried Pocket Internet Explorer for WM6.1 (Thanks for the link alipi2007) and running this along with the IE_Slow_Scroll_Fix cab seems to do a better job.
However, let me give you an example to decribe the issue I still have:
When using the Polaris to view the index of this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php), I flick my thumb from the bottom of the Polaris screen to the top three times in quick succession - the screen scrolls and halts at the picture of the Wallaby handset.
Now, when I do the same on my Hermes running SPB Pocket Plus with Smart Scrolling, this three flicks of my thumb up the screen takes me down to the picture of the Vogue.
Quite some difference, don't you agree?
It's this speed of navigation and fluidity that I need on my Polaris.

Best Touch-friendly PIM

I would be glad to hear recommendations. I tried Pocket Informant 8.5, but the touch mode there is still very imature. I'll now try SBSH's program.
Do you have any touch friendly PIM to recommend?
Thanks.
AgendaOne from DeveloperOne or ThumbCal from Thumbapps.
Greetings from Cologne,
Arniebirdy
I got thumbcall, and i think it's one of the best and fingerfriendly programms.

Hi Baltes,
Thanks for sharing, this looks good. Can you replace the integrated TouchFlo3D/Manila calender with this one?

sbsh calendar touch!
Hi folks,
i've used AgendaOne and PocketInformant before but don't like them anymore since they are absolutely not finger friendly.
My new favourite now is sbsh calendar touch, you do not need a stylus AND you can wipe forward/backward days, weeks or whatsoever.
Sure, it doesn't look as nice as AgendaOne or PI, you have to change some colour settings, but it works like a charm with one finger!
(Don't like Thumbcall either. Tried and uninstalled again.)

Thanks for the tip, I really like it!
I tried SBSH's Calendar Touch, and it has a sleeker look, but it has an annoying bug that the bottom bar doesn't work at times. I removed it, and now using Thumbcal.
Thanks!

which is the best (easiest) screen rotating app

Hi all,
after reading so many posts that i thought my head would explode I thought i would ask some advice
which is the screen rotation app of choice?
I have loaded and unloaded Gsens, Gyrator, change screen and I am now totally confused.
The simples one ( cant even remember which one) was so simple to use - open app insert stylus- done! but it didnt work on lots of progs for me.
what i rally want is a nice simple app that allows me to choose which progs ( mainly text and word etc) to have rotated.
sorry for being such a pain
the phone is totally original by the way
many thanks
This one is my favourite:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991
I've also tried them all, and this is the best one! Easy to configure. Lets me choose which apps to rotate. That's it!
Thanks for the reply.
after a cup of coffee I hard reset the phone and tried again:
tried g-config. Dead easy to use but i could not get it working on loads of programmes.
I then tried Gyrator which seems to work really well ( though i cant get it to work on any of the programmes that still keep START on the top of the screen - is that correct?)
maybe i will try G- config again
thanks very much and keep up the sterling work
and whats wrong with my TD2 Tools app? it does everything g-config does but has the benefit of backing up and restoring the white list!
not heard of your app sir
give me a link and i shall investigate
thanks

It works very well in my TD2 with WM6.5.
Cool!! But it doesn't work for a part.
My today screen won't rotate (menu and contact do but the rest don't rotate)
I use a stock 6.1 rom.
Can someone help
why is it, which ever app i try (currently on flip-IT) when i rotoate the device, it starts to rotate (i.e. the windows start icon moves) ,then there is a flicker and nothing?
confused & thanks
Gyrator 2 is not difficult to use, and works great!
will Flip-it work on the Imagio. Is it very easy to use like Changescreen.

well it may not have the same user interface as the others but flipit is in my opinion the fastest rotater there is out there.
Read the small guide and remember to delete the regs regarding the normal gsensor, and the you will see that flipit - as standard - will rotate everything, if the app/page supports it.
This is the one I use, very simple!

You can try Ultimate Launch, which is a today plugin that offers several types of transitions and a cube effect is one of them. Highly versatile and easy to use too! It is a bit old, but should work fine with 6.5.x

Co0kie’s Home Tab - works with Topaz

I found a nice app in the HTC Leo section with works like a charme with my Topaz (Shipped Rom with Sense 2.5.20121226.0).
You have 3 (!!!) Screens where you can add your favorite programms, contacts or favorites and its very finger-friendly.
Wonder that i don't read about it here. It makes my phone like a phone must be.
Now, i run this for the last 3 days without any problems.

If you have all screens full with programs/contacts/favorites i can agree that it slow down.
BUT -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633590
there is an Editor for the HomeTab mod where you can choose less quickstart buttons. I have disabled the animation and that makes it really fast

Yes it is a great Appl for HTC with Manila 2.5.x
I was looking for "Calender Events & Missed Calls on Home Screen" and this application helped me. See the thread @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644597.

That's the same reason I'm running it. I think in Manila 2.0 you had this working fine on the home screen and when switching to 2.5 I was really disappointed to only see 1 appointment and no call history. Thanks to this great tweak it's finally possible!
Thanks man, that u post this thread i Topaz section. It is very nice and useful. The man who made this mod is manila guru
I'll never find it in Leo section.
Runs very great on my Topaz!
Performance, customization, localization (Russian) and size of the mod is wonderful!
To reallt boost this one up, for me it was to disable the text, and text background on the quicklinks. Made a world of difference!
cool.
I like it.
