Trivial.... but when dialing a person who has a photo assigned to them, on the ATT dial pad screen, their picture is soooo small you can't hardly even see it. Is there a registry hack that will enlarge this picture on the right side of the screen? I looked through the registry and came up empty handed.
Man, I still can't find the way to edit it. Anyone know if it is the skin or a reg setting?
I don't know about a hack, but I just cropped my photos to make the face as big as possible...works ok.
I agree with Grizz; they should be bigger. Would love to hear about a regedit, or way to change this. I thought I saw a picture where there were only 4 contacts in the 'picture' area.
The only solution I've seen for this is to use a third party dialer skin.
I'd love a kaiser tweakfor this - there must be a settign somewhere?
I have done some searching too for registry tweak but... nothing found!
wee need to lobby chainfire - the master!
Im about 99.9% sure it isnt a reg tweak. It has to be in the skin itself. When dialing a number (or on the phone) you will see that every blank spot eventually is used. The picture can't be very big, regardless. I think it can be bigger, but not much bigger and some screens can be larger than others.

I am using the XDA Mobile 6 r2a ROM and all is well except the dialer.
The contact's picture shows up very tiny. So my question is which
dialer for WM6 shows the largest picture?
Ummm..... Now I'm using NBD 8.0, very nice. May decide to keep vs cooking my own. All it needs IMO is MuN keyboard, Calc lite & Novii remote toy!
Still question is, which dialer shows the largest / biggest / contact / picture / photo? So far I'm seeing teeny tiny contact pics and that's not too great.
I HAVE searched these posts but I keep missing! ANY help would be appreciated.

Show us a nice screen capture
Depends on which picture you want bigger. When someone is calling you and there number pops up, and you have a photo associated with them, if that is what you want big, then I would leave it at the default wm6 dialer. Not the one you have, which I believe is from the HTC touch rom. Now if you mean the photo on the dialer itself when you are making a call or on a call, Then the biggest picture I've seen is using Pauly Eten Dialer Classics. They show a very big picture on the dialer itself. Hope that helps
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a shot this week and report my results.
I guess this normally isnt such an issue but Ive been using the slide2unlock program which is pretty neat. Anyways it can do full screen caller id pictures which is great. However, it ends up just zooming in on my picture and looks like crap. The pic I used is a 2mp picture so its gotta be fairly large (well larger than the screen thats for sure)... Anyways anyway in general to get higher quality images out of WM6? And if anyone know in relation to Slide2Unlock as well that would be great
Thanks
anyone know?
do u have the link to this program?
I guess to save space the phone saves the contact picture with certain compression and size. Slide2Unlock just use the contact picture that you have assigned to that contact and stretches it because it's too small.
I belive you have no option to use a bigger image, it's a OS "feature" to save space/memory and improve speed.
But I may be extremely wrong.
It's not what is asked, but I suggest you to use Photo Contact Pro
with the caller id actived... in the S2U the image in fullscreen mode.... its to bad like a gaussing blur image... i re-size for 150x159 pixels... and the problem is the same...
how to have a highehr quality images in the caller id..... thanx

I hope there are useful info in there.
like the title really,
I couldn't wait to get my hands on my TP, however soon after I got it I realised that TF3D seemed to be all form and no function.
I immediately replaced it with Mobile Shell which I find much easier to use.
for example, when I want to phone someone, I hit the contacts button and I have a screen with 16 faces, I hit one and press call. In TF3D, I have to hit (or scroll) to the contact button, then scroll down again to find the person etc.
For text messages, I like to have the list on the screen that I can easily scroll through. In TF3D I can see one at a time only.
The downside...is that MS seems to be lagging behind on the themes front, and I like to have a theme that matches my mood...which is xmas at the moment.
so, my real question is what wonderful options are available to make TF3D more usable?
Unfortunately you don't have many options if your talking about changing the way that TF3D functions. There are a number of speed increases, and a few small tweaks such as the zoom function cab that lets you increase and decrease the size of the text messages in TF3D. If you like having all the contacts on one scren though, TF2D is like that. All the pictures are laid out like tiles. But with TF3D you can just click the contacts button on the bottom right of the screen and pull up all your contacts. TF3D wasn't really meant to be a full-fledged os; just a today plugin that you could use to see a good amount of information.
SPB replaced mine as well
Moved to Fuze (p4600) from p3600. Was using SBP mobile shell. Tried tf3d for about 2 weeks. HATED IT. Looks pretty, but takes too many steps to get to real work. Back to a snappy SPB Mobile Shell on my Fuze.

On every picture of the Winterface interface I have seen, there are 4 icons across each row, just like the iPhone. On my Treo 800W, there are 5 across, and they are too small for my fingers. I'm assuming this has something to do with the 320x320 screen, maybe Winterface thinks it's landscape or something? Is anyone else having this problem, and is there ANY way to fix this?
2 things
1. Everytime I hear the word iphone I think about vomiting a million times. just to clarify things. iphone sucks.
2. Use notepad/word pad edit the size, soft reset. or find a cab for your size good luck bro
thanks for the reply, but what exactly do I need to open in notepad? I'm not really sure what size to edit. Thanks!
It could just be me, maybe it is ment to look this way, but....
The internet explorer font is really really big. I even set the text size to "smaller". There is also an annoying scroll bar on the right corner that pops up and takes up about a quarter of the screen.
Another glitch is typing in text. For instance when I try to post something on face book you can't see the text your typing until you actually post. Seems to happen if I put in more the 5 or 6 characters.
I'm old and wear glasses but I don't need the view to be this big!
Any ideas? Besides don't use it?
Thanks.
obviously ur talking about the i.e from the newly created Ookba ROM, and i mentioned this bug to Ookba and he said he was going to try and tackle it shortly.
also, have u tried switching from "Desktop View" to "Mobile View" in i.e.?
I found a nice medium with adjusting the zoom with medium fonts.
Yes, I messed with all the settings. mobile view with smaller text, etc etc. no difference. but thanks!
yea the "let me show you where you on the page by taking up 25% of the page itself" is really annoying. Any reg key to disable this page-scrolling popup?
