How to get around the 16% problem? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

I keep getting stuck at 16% on my tilt and cannot get the HTC Rom to load.
How do I get around this problem?

Check out this post:

Thanks, actualy shortly after my post I finaly got the damn thing to work.
I pretty sure it has more to do with AT&t than anything else. Basically I it took three times of doing the same thing to get the HTC rom to load.
I am glad to be rid of those AT&T jerks, yes no thank you I do not want your crappy media player or your ringtone shopping link.
It is pathetic that the tilt would not come with a full version of Windows live.
What is also interesting is that my 3g would not work before and screen came up that said I needed to contact Att. New rom and presto 3g now works.
Much better user controls and set up than the ATT.

htc touc pro Vodafone uk

it arrived yesterday on a consumer contract £35 a month if anyones interested
Loving the phone been browsing the forums for a while now but first post lots of great work on here much appreciated
last night i decided i didnt like the vodafone rom that was on there it was almost identical to the one listed in the wiki except the protocol was different i had 52.33.25.17U but 52.33.25.17H is listed
but i installed hardSPL and put on a new htc branded rom and love it because its default black
battery life is great had an annoyance with the data connection keep coming on when i wasnt using wifi but if stopped that now so thats great
only thing im not liking right now is when i go to messages on the touchflo bar at the bottom it shows the last message and its contents and i dont think its that private so if anyone knows of a way to change that would be much appreciated
but is there a way i can get it all back to stock and get my warrenty back now after ive installed hardSPL and a new ROM?
yes you can ive posted the rom here:

i have the same issue with the messages
suppose u do have the option to password your phone tho

ATT Fuze Keyboard/ROM Question

Hi there. I went over most of the wiki's and forums here but didn't find a straighforward answer to this question:
I have a ATT Fuze on its way in the mail, and was wondering what I needed to do to get all of the demos and crap off of it. Never used a WinMo phone before (upgrading from a Sony Ericsson K790a), so I'm kind of clueless as to what to do. I read up that using an OEM ROM would be best, but I'm worried that if/when I flash an OEM ROM to it, it will make the keyboard layout different (Fuze uses a custom one).
Is my thinking right on that?
use the leaked test rom. REALLY easy to install. just plug in your phone to activesync and open the executable file for the rom. let it run for about 10-20 minutes and voila! it's done!
as for the bloat, there's a step by step guide here if you want. if that still doesn't make sense i can rewrite it for you. it'll be easier to make sense of with your fuze in front of you. i personally have removed the bloat from all my hard resets except for the current one on the leaked rom and honestly it's not that bad. the gps on the fuze is MUCH better now, it's pretty quick, battery life is pretty good. i'd say give it a try with the bloat and if you can't stand it, then hard reset and remove the bloat.
Cool, I got it in the mail yesterday...I'll have a play with it tomorrow. As for the bloat, I've learned to "maneuver" around most of it, but I did notice the GPS being terribly slow (took 4-5 minutes to get a lock). But like I said, I'll play with it tomorrow. I've noticed the SMS sending being a little slow...nothing too bad though.
DEFINITELY get the leaked at&t "test rom". GPS was taking 1-2 minutes or more to lock (or wouldn't lock at all), now, on the 2-3 apps I use for GPS, it usually is locked by the time the software is loaded. I also noticed a "snappier"
response on the TF3D.

I'll give it a whirl here in a few minutes when I get off work. I got the TomTom navigator software on there right now, and it takes FOREVER to get a lock (For instance, I have a ten minute walk to work...it never got a lock during my entire trip).
Is there an ETA on the final release build of the leaked ROM? I won't even bother asking where to find it since there's a search feature here!
Also, does the leaked ROM have the generic HTC theme? I find it much sexier than the ATT pre-loaded one...although they're both pretty solid.
Edit: Flashed it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=506837
Going to play with it and see how I like it.

Internet Connection dies on Sprint TP2, necessitating hard-reset, 4X in 10 days

I received my Touch Pro2 on 11/3, since then the internet has ceased working and forced me to do a hard-reset FOUR TIMES. If anyone has any ideas, opinions or otherwise I'd like to hear them.
I have a ticket open with Sprint Tech Support so I can go into the store and get another one, but I have two fears on this, that either they will not have it, or all they will have are refurbs to replace my brand new TP2.
If a list of software on the phone would help please let me know, I'll be more than happy to list it all out.
Thanks
Maybe a solution!
go to www.ppcgeeks.com then Touch Pro 2 CDMA, and get the lates Energy Rom, it's blazing fast, and on the same forum look for the radio tread and the the lates Sprint modified radio, that will get you faster conections.
Posted from my Sprint Touch Pro2 4G
I actually did that the other day, but I can't seem to figure a few things out... To begin with I can't figure out where the latest radio is. Also I really don't like the "finger friendly" file explorer and outlook mobile, I'd imagine there's a way to disable it. I used to use a couple of memory tweaks, I can't help but wonder if they'd work on EnergyROM... Any chance you can help and or direct me to the right place on any of those? I search high and low but come up with nothing.
Thanks

Switch Fuze to CDMA?

Ok, this may be a dumb question but I found evidence of this as a possibility elsewhere and wanted someone to clear this up for me. I have an AT&T Fuze. We are looking at switching to the Sprint network. Will I need to get a new phone, or is there a radio flash that can be used to make the change?
Forgive my newbie question. I'm still learning!
Thanks!
nope sorry you can not use a gsm phone on a cdma network.
cant: this is in hardware, not software
Well that was easy enough.
Next, if I purchase a used, unlocked Verizon phone, will I be able to use it with Sprint?
Thanks!
my fze shows a cdma option why is that?

No, you will not.. Sprint will not activate any phone they did not sell originally (not model of phone, but physical phone itself)... If it was not originally a Sprint phone that they do not have a record of, it can not be activated EVER on the sprint network.. They are the biggest "jerks" about that...
But on the good news, is just look for a Sprint HTC Touch Pro... it has TWICE the ram that the Verizion TP version has... And there are TONS of them all the time on craigslist... many in excellent condition... My only advice would be is, if you are buying any cellphone on craigslist, agree to only buy it if then will go WITH YOU (or meet you) at a Sprint Retail store, and have the Customer Service guy verify that the phone is not reported lost or stolen... If it is reported lost or stolen by whoever had it registered most recently, you will never be able to activate it on Sprint either...This way protects you in not only do you knwo for sure it is a legit phone, it will stop some seedy people from trying to rob you or anything...
If you go this route, I highly reccoment the NSFAN roms... They are great, well put together roms... They sort of remind me of the Energy roms on the Fuze....
Anyways, hope I was some help!
Thanks, Teej!
I've been watching items on Ebay. That's where I got my Fuze.
Does the Tael ROM work for the Sprint Touch Pro? I have had good luck with it and like the config. What do you like about the NSFAN ROM?

I have never used the Tael Rom, so I can't comment on that one.. buut the NSFAN one is great... I installed the exact same rom on both a US Cellular as well as a Sprint version of the Touch Pro and both "just worked" right out of the box... it is very finger friendly... has on all the little features and tweaks to a settings liek I would have them set.. The programs that come with it are very useful.. It looks good... and runs pretty quickly it seems as well... I have installed tomTom on it, and it also just "worked" out of the box without any special GPS configuration... and it locks on in like 30 seconds! We also have a fuze, and that one seems to takes 3 or 4 min, both from a cold start, started at the same time in the same car... (we compaired them many times)... Batterys seems to last about 2 days on typical use... It also seems to be very stable....
Hope I have helped....

[Q] 7.8 Sianto Edition questions

Hello all, I have a couple questions about the WP7.8 Sianto Edition for the HTC Arrive. I have the Sprint Arrive and am considering putting this rom on my phone. First I would like to know if anyone knows what kind of unlock it has, if any. Also, does the USB Tethering work in the 1.6 for the Arrive? I see it listed for the 1.6.1 for the 7 Pro..
And does anyone have any input on how reliable this rom is? I am looking for forward to the 2.0L that is said to be coming soon. As of late my phone has gotten so slow and my data connection speed is terrible lately. It seems every week it gets worse and I am having many apps just crash to the home screen and apps that rely on the data like radio apps just take forever to even open now. My wife has this same phone on the same network and hers is not having any of these issues.
Thanks for your replies.
Anyone know? Planning to download the rom tomorrow but want to know about the unlock first. I have yet to HSPL my phone but will when I have all my questions sorted out.
Hi mate!
Concerning the slow speeds, if you upgraded your phones memory by swapping the sd card, the two can be related (for example, my youtube videos are very sluggish while streaming). I Have an international 7 pro (no carrier branding) and it's been 10 months since my last hard reset (when I upgraded the memory from 8 to 32 gigs) and i am also experiencing very slow load times, but I don't know about the apps crashing. Data loading is also a bit slow on my side (on some apps while refreshing) but internet explorer just works fine.
But I remember the phone working just fine right after the memory upgrade, so my guess is that constantly adding and erasing apps and files like videos, music and pictures are kind of messing up the responsiveness of the system.
PS: Sorry for my response not being specific enough to your case. I didn't want to reply at first but since the 7 pro forums aren't much populated lately, I thought that my idea on the subject could help.

For one, yes, the Sianto ROM IS unlocked.
And for another, the first time I loaded the Sianto ROM on my phone, it was at v1.4, I believe. After going through the steps, my phone was it's fastest ever, and I loved my phone even more than when I had first gotten it. Things were great for about a week, until tragedy struck: an app I installed from the Bazaar marketplace while at school basically bricked my phone. So, I borrowed a friends phone, let people know I would be incommunicado, and waited out the day. When I got home, I immediately came here to XDA, and tried to remember which ROM I had loaded, but wasn't able to get the same computer I had originally used. I remembered Sianto's name, but then saw ansar's ROM, and decided to try that one.
Long story fairly short: I switched back to Sianto after about a day, and haven't looked back since.
I don't know about USB tethering, but the internet sharing works in v1.6, and I especially like that Digital Power was added to the Settings. Every time I flashed my phone before, I had to reinstall Digital Power, but not with this version!
All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Sianto v1.6, and I know that when v2.0L comes out, I'm definitely going to flash it.
Hope I helped.

Thanks for your reply! That's exactly the response I was looking for! Glad to know that it is unlocked and that you got a performance boost out of it. I get internet hooked up on Monday so I will be downloading and flashing around then!
Thanks again
