Qtek s200 update problems----important experience

HI all
i have a qtek_S200(HTC Prophet) which is :
IPL 2.09.0001
SPL 2.15.0001
OS 2.15.13.24
GSM 02.17.21
now,i have experienced a big problem like this:
i wanted to change the ROM of my phone to English..then i download a shiped Rom to flash it...
the shiped Rom i used was RUU_Prophet_1001321_100013102_11320_DopodAsia_shiped.exe....
But everytime i tried to Flash, the program said "ERROR(300):invalid update tool..this update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone.please get newer update utillity" when the phone proceeded to a reseting and turned to three colour mode....
So, that is way? someone plz help me..

2nd problem
the qtek S200 is CHT now, coz it ought to be ENG originallly, so it must be CID unlocked sometime ago...
unfortunlly, when i try to backup its Rom to SD card using MTTY by the code" r2sd all", like backing up a wizard' rom....but it said "you don't get the proper security level to download a specific image"..
Then i use the MachinaGod' lokiwizi and RapiUnlocker trying to unlock the CID, but it displays error and seems fail ..
so, guys plz help me ..

i tried to dump it's Rom using a MTTY, the code i input was " r2sd all", but it said that

You didn't get the proper security level to download a specific image
So it is fail......

I read the entire post. It is NOT a CID unlock, basically the guy just ran aWizard and ignored the error of CID unlock error. The screen says CID unlock success, but it doesnt really unlock CID. rest explains what roms he used to update his O2 xda. Mostly are in Simplified Chinese ROM. Nothing special or new in that post. Search is still on.

If you want to install a new ROM then there is no need to unlock CID. This procedure explains a method for updating all components except IPL/SPL on a Wizard. The same procedure and the same tools in the document can be used on a Prophet.
Pay attention to the warnings on the first page though. The procedure is not trivial so make sure you know what you are doing before you actually do it!

Yep! Works well, as long as you try AKU2.x or better for the OS module. It didn't work with i-mate's old 1.2 ROM for JAMin but that just confirms what the article says. Everything else I've tried so far worked.

I have used the procedure tonight and all worked perfectly!
Enough simple and with no unpgrading problems!
Now I have Italian rom on my device!

Do the settings remain the same as k-jam (ex. OS start address 80040000, HTC logo ?

Yes that rom and the configuration is the SAME of K-Jam (i had a 02 Mini S before thiefed :-(( )

Probably I made something wrong, my device is DEAD!!! I have been severals hours to fix it but no way.
Now I can see the device in boot loader mode (3 colors)

You have missmatch in IPL and SPL version.
Your IPL is corresponding to DOC G3, but SPL DOC G4.
This should not be the case. What was your original DOC?
Do you have USB connection when in rainbow screen?

No, I don't have a USB connection. Tonight I was thinking and I going to try to put the ROM stop at bootloader. Let me try it now. As soon as I have some news I'll post it. Thanks!

I just finish to download the Dopod 818 Pro Rom stop at bootloader fix but now the problem is getting biger, I mean, the battery is empty, so I can not charge the device with the USB or AC cable. I have to find a battery to try with this Rom. Or go to the technical support and try to fix it.
The screen is on and of by it self efvery couple minutes (just for a while)

Finally I got a charged battery from my brothyer and I started to download the mentioned rom, but at 80% stop, I get an error message.
ERROR 326 Invalid Command. This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA Phoen. Please check your NBF.
How could I do? Suggestions???

I made a call phone to the service mantenience and I have a date to try to fix it. I'm affraid they are going to tell me something I don't like to heard, but...

You can reject IPL/SPL from nk.nbf file to bypass check.
Or you can use this ROM http://tom-love.net/Rom/Prophet/WM6.0/Prophet_PV_Temp.zip. It only has AKU2.20 OS and 10MB free Ext_ROM .

got it!!
instead flashing it with the ROM given.i cook another NVID ROM,remove the ipl/spl ,and....successful!!!
now i'm using smart1 v3 ROM,gee...a 24hour shock..

please, somebody can cook me a french rom with the ipl and spl rejected because I have the same probleme and now my prophet is blocked in the bootloader with IPL 2.15.0001 and SPL 2.20.0001
If somebody make on for me it will be very cool.

I have not got any FRE ROM so I can't, but I can show you how to cook:
- Use typho5.exe to extract ROM file nk.nbf into *.nb files:
Usage in cmd MSDOS: typho5 -x nk.nbf
- You can remove: IPL.nb, SPL.nb
- Use nb2nbf.exeto build rest *.nb files into nk.nbf file with address as follows:
9b000000-Extension.nb: 9B000000
96000000-GSM.nb: 96000000
80040000-OS.nb: 80040000
92000000-Splash.nb: 92000000
9d000000-HTC: 9D000000

You can put "PM300" or "PROPHET" without quotation marks
B'cauze your ROM is French so you can choose "FRE"
OEM, Operation and especially CID you must leave blank.

I had similar situation. I flashed succesfully to smart v1.3, and couldn't downgrade. Just to be precise I need some answers/confirmations:
1. Flashing with smart v1.3 is done from Align Screen of NoVendorID ROM. Is this correct?
2. Flashing of RadioROM is done from BootLoader?
3. Latest RadioROM is ...?

Hi All,
I need an Italian Official VOX ROM or instruction how-to flash unsigned ROM.
Please note that I have flashed a wrong ROM and Activesync does not work, I can access only though bootloader.

Try naming the VOXIMG.nbh instead of HERMIMG.nbh.
but I really don't know if this can work. most likely not in fact since I haven't seen it described for the vox on these forums..
Sorry I have really no experience in bricked devices. Well I bricked mine several times but usb connection still worked through bootloader, so I could start ruu updater when in bootloader mode and it worked fine.

I have bricked my Vox making custom roms, but have found that even though i can get into the bootloader and run up the RUU updater, every time i go to flash a rom i get errors saying wrong VendorID etc... this is because the rom i flashed had different ID's to the original HTC ROMS. Maybe you are signing them different to me?
Please help!

i`ve made the same mistake (flashed a ROM cooked by me) ... but prior to flash my phone i was lucky enough to use USPL 1.16 to permanently flash my SPL to 1.16 (i`ve used both archives Vox USPL-CID BYPASS.zip and Vox-USPL-RUU.zip) instead of 1.27 (original, vendor locked).
On the XDA ftp is a italian ROM if i`m not mistaking, did you try it ?
try this ... i`m not sure it will work.
Make sure you have disabled the USB connection in ActiveSync:
File --> Connection settings --> uncheck "allow USB connections"
1. get into booloader mode
2. connect with mtty
3. write password BsaD5SeoA
4. try to run the USPL 1.16 now ... (i`m just guessing)
if it doens`t work reset the phone and repeat step 1. and 2. and continue with:
3. write password BsaD5SeoA after that ruurun 0
4. try to run the USPL 1.16 now ... (i`m just guessing)
alternatively instead of USPL you can try to run the italian rom from the ftp.
i`ve managed to save my phone doing steps 1, 2, and 3 (not sure which one worked) from above and then flashed with ARA ROM ... but keep in mind my SPL was 1.16.

unfortunately this does not help because my VOX is CID locked “g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = FF” and Activesync does not work, for this reason I’m not able to flash any unsigned rom.
My SPL is 1.27.
I have tried to flash 1.16 but the procedure does not work.
It is a way to CID unlock my VOX from bootloader?
Can anyone cook a signed Italian ROM?

if the Vendor ID is the same it will work

Can you tell me how it works out?? I am hesitant to send mine to HTC (i had to import this phone) which will mean i have to pay heaps for shipping... and even then i dont expect them to replace it because the last rom i flashed had a different splash screen (silly me ) this will be obvious to them and therefore wont replace mine because i tampered with the rom.

Your IPL and SPL were the wrong version. Search for "Goldcard herald" for a way to fix it.

I don't know how to do it myself since all my Heralds had the correct SPL and IPL. I just searched for Goldcard Herald. If you have any questions, ask them in that post and maybe the person who created it can answer them for you. Sorry.

As I said, look at that link I showed you. The Herald Goldcard. It will fix your SPL and IPL and allow you to flash the phone with 6.1 again. The reason why it broke was because you tried using USPL or HardSPL on a phone that did not meet the requirements.

Here is an easier version to understand. (Same thing, just formatted easier.)
You have to realize that just like you don't know everything, we don't know everything. You can't expect us to FIGURE things out for you. The reason why I kept telling you to read that thread was because I don't know anything about it. The guy in that thread does. I can't explain it unless I try to figure it out FOR you.
