Database Info

check storage card for file format.

Ok. I understand that I sound like a complete idiot, but ive really searched and found nothing.
Backstory: had some software trouble in my X1 using itje's touch-it 5.something so i had to hardreset. Might as well try out his WM 6.5 ROM...
Now, when I enter bootloader it wont "active sync". (im on xp and i have the .NETframework 3.5 btw). As long as the phone is on i have no trouble syncing.
-buggers. oh, well this gives me a reason to try out the md-card method. But I cant for the love of my life find the info if my card is formatted to fat32 or not.
Ive tried resco explorer, but it says that my card might be locked..
In xp my storage card turns up as a folder, so no luck just checking properties there..
Any1 got any clues?

Since i dont own any adapter its not really helping me atm. thx for your respone tho.
Anyway, googled a bit more and realized that you dont have to be in bootloader to start the ruu.
Still wanna know tho. =)

I re-read your fist post, when in bootloader mode, active sync won't start. You'll just have a serial com port installed.

Any clue on how to check the storage card to see if its fat32 or not?
Bought it unbranded from 3 in sweden in mid january containing a 4 gb card.

what is using all my main storage memory??!

im down to 8.46mb free on main storage on my tytn ii..
im not sure whats eaten it all up as im using 110.71mb.
cleared ie and opera cache, have tomtom on there but maps on sd card.
google maps is on the sd..
ive run sk tools also... cant work out whats using the space? is there a simple way to free up 10 or 20 mb?

could it be my email account or something??

I was just over at ppckitchen, and read about mxip_notify.vol growing out of control if you get a ton of email notifications. Check to see if you have any databases that are out of whack (use total commander and view hidden files). SK Tools is also helpful for clearing storage memory.

i found it in the end... it was some opera downloads that is whacks in its own folder...
took ages to find but used something called spacefinder plus that only has a trial until november..

SD card is fine, but upon further testing I think the phone storage is lying and is only very small

Do you have root? Some Samsung phones (I don't know if it applies to clones too) fill /data partition with log files (many MB every day). You could navigate to /data/log (or similar) and delete all *.log.gz, *.txt.gz
A handy tool to check where is space wasted is Disk Usage
Also note that some EMMC need reboot to update free space records, so phone may report memory is still full until you reboot.

I think so some phones show the phone memory is full because the app installation space is full it differ to media storage rom so plz go to setting and go to app settings and move the most of heavy app to sd card i think so it may help and try it once..............and doing it power off once and then on it

There is no App to SD feature on this device android 4.04. Can someone assist in the dev on this device? Root and ROM. Would love if some of the features left out of the stock rom were enabled.
Internal storage space is 8gb with 6 shipped unless the maps are there in which it drops to 2gb. It doesn't even support certain FS like exfat or similar so I had to format the 128gb SDXC card with Fat32...
Can we bake back in some of the normal Android features that were left out?

hi, do you have found any solution to root Monterra?
I would root it to run PPP widget3 and plug 4G key to have internet access without wifi share .
There is no sim card on MOnterra.. sic..

is there a hard reset for this device?

One shows the total space without excluding the space taken by system. (The whole chip)
The other one shows the space, excluding the system space. (User Data)
It's pretty obvious, and there's no mistake about it. It's like delivering the answer in two different ways.

How do I get the whole system back on the one with just user data so both will show whole system chip storage.
Also I have been trying to get firmware to flash using QFIL do you have any ideas how I can get passed the PC only recognizing the device as only (Android Boot device ). It's not recognize to Port to flash the firmware package. Do you have any ideas or maybe anything I can try to maybe get the ports to for download mode?
