Hi all.
I have a little problem with composing pictures in MMS messages,
when i choose compress picture it doesn't insert the picture.
but when i leave it uncompressed it does. unfortunately my carrier only allows
max 100K per message.
Have i missed something ?? a tweak ?
am currently running WM6 PEE v6

Sorry for the title but i am trying to make this thread as "findable"?? as possible , in case it answers a really bugging problem I and i think a lot of others have after researching into this!
I have been using a Hermes (black majick windows mobile 6 ROM) and now a Kaiser (HTC's own WM6 English ROM) on O2 and i have never been able to receive full screen pictures/photos via mms. I can send them ok and others receive them full screen on phones like HTC, sony, etc.
For example, my sister has a Hermes - Trion from O2 with WM6 and she can receive full screen mms from me. When she or anyone else sends me a mms file which might 50kb, i receive it as a tiny image and it is shrunk down to 3-5kb.
So i am guessing there is something that needs to change in my MMS settings/registry, but i have no idea where and what it could be.
Can anyone shed some light on this please?
Would appreciate this a lot as my wife keeps sending me mms photos at work of our new born baby and the size of the photos are no bigger than my thumb very depressing
I have similar annoyances but in my case it's due to the operator. We have only two GSM operators here in Oman.
One operator allows VGA-sized photos in MMS messages, up to 100KB in size but they also charge a lot for each MMS. (100 KB for a VGA-sized photo gives quite good quality.)
The other operator always shrinks all photos to thumbnail size, usually not more than 10KB in size but they are cheap! But cheap is not always good. For the peanuts we're paying for their MMS messages we get sh*t!
Now I am using wm6 on my wizard but i can't send mms even i can't find mms setting on my phone....can u help me pls.....
MMS Issues As Well
I am running XDA Mobile 6 R4 and am also having problems with mms. I am unable to modify the size limitation from 600k to 300k and also am recieving "One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your terminal." whenever i send a MMS with an attachment. The attachment is an mp3 that is only 211k. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi there,
HTC Album or WM Picture Viewer offers you to send picture directly via MMS. It should start MMS Composer and embed desired picture inside. It is not working on my Touch. It includes only some 1kb icon, that is sent. When I pick up the same picture directly from MMS Composer, it works fine. But it is one step more and another searching...
Do you have any idea how to solve this trouble?
Thanx, Begis
I have this to, people telling me that I sent them empty mms, how to fix?
Hello guys
i have Nokia lumia 710 and i was searching all over the internet and found nothing. I just want to know if it is possible to send mms without picture only text. If it is then how can i do it?
Turn on the "Group Text" feature and then send to multiple people (include your own number maybe?) and it will send as MMS (because SMS can't do group conversations). However, out of curiosity, why would you want to do this?
Well will try this when my gf will come as she has the phone. I want this because she has contract with 1000 sms and 1000mms limitation. And she uses all sms before she get new onesso she uses mms.
EDIT: well i tried to send mms way you described but i can't send mms to myself xD
Hello,
here in France some operator won't allow MMS to go up to 600KB, but will restrict it to 300KB. The trick is, using hangout, the app only tries to send it full res, and wont try to compress it.
I can send very little files through Hangouts, so the MMS APN are OK, but if I take a shot with the S7 and try to send it without compressing it manually, it won't send.
Long story short, is there a way to specify a maximum size in hangouts or at phone level ? I really hate the stock app or messenger (and they compress way too much anyway...)
