Mobile Instant Messaging Encryption/Security - General Topics

I have an 8525 with WM6 and am using MSN Messenger (as provided with the OS).
My question is whether there is a way to ensure that my IM messages are encrypted/secured when using my mobile device.
I use SIMPlite when working on my PC, but they inform me that there are no plans to expand it to a mobile device.
I suppose another question is whether anyone can figure out a way to make SIMPlite work on WM6.
If it can't be done with MSN messenger.....are there suggestions as to a good third party app that will do it (remembering that it will need to encrypt with a PC likely running MSN).
Any help would be appreciated.

i need many messages from 2003SE. how can i bring them back to WM5?
thanks..
Jeyo mobile companion should do the job.
thanks for the reply.
i just took a look at the description of the software but it only say
"Jeyo Mobile Companion is an ideal PC partner application for your Windows Mobile Smartphone or Pocket PC Phone Edition device. It allows you to operate your Windows Mobile device from a Windows PC through a familiar ease-to-use Outlook-style user interface. It lets you to communicate instantly with hundreds of millions of mobile phone users around the world using SMS directly from your PC, and manage all the important personal data on your Smartphone or Pocket PC phone."
i think its just another sms messaging software, not a backup one. correct me if im wrong please
thanks..
and if it is a backup software, how would i use it?
just tried to use it. it works fine in 2003SE. i hope it would work fine as well in WM5 when i upgrade later..
thanks..
it works fine on both 2003 and wm5.

WM Live?

I continue to run into an issue with WM Live where I am trying to get my email as it is received into my account.
Is anyone else having a problem where its not syncing all the time?
Same here
From of yesterday I guess
Would you guys mind posting some more information with your Windows Live problems???
Like what ROM you are currently running and maybe the version # of Windows Live installed on your device. I also think it would be helpful to point out if you are using a Tilt or Tytn II so we can see if there are any differences between the devices.
I have been running AustinSync's BigStorage ROM on my Tilt with WL version 10.6.0032.2100 and so far have not run into any problems. As a matter of fact WL is running much better on the BigStorage ROM than it was on the HTC stock rom.
UPDATE
I had to open my big mouth didn't I. Just started having all kinds of connection issues with Windows Live (10.6.0032.2100). The only changes I made were installing TCPMP and the Flashbundle.cab to view youTube videos. Now I keep having to soft reset my Tilt in order to successfully send and receive email! When I open WL and check the Sync screen it is stuck on "Checking Internet connectivity". All other applications are getting internet connections no problem (including Live Search - the mapping program) This is a major issue for me, as I use WL for all of my email and contacts right now. Does anybody have any ideas on a fix for these connection inssues.
I am running a tilt with Kaiser AKU.0.7.0 Cooked ROM v.1.57.000.1.
according to the list I'm running Windows Live Mobile 10.6.31.2600.
What other info can I give?
I have tried both of the big storage rom's and had the same problems.
There is definitely an issue were WL can not detect the Kaiser's internet connection. I have been searching for answers all night, but no luck. I even tried the "GPRS Always On " Reg tweak from the sticky post, but it did not help.
This is a big problem for me, as I use Live for all of my contacts, email, and chat.
Has anyone found a workaround or fix??
Check to see if your proxy server is checked. It was a problem I had when I could not connect to the internet.

Known issue, not yet resolved - see

you can download the windows live application that is on most WM6 devices by default... at&t decided we dont need it apparently. this will allow you to do msn messenger (windows live messenger) over data instead of sms as well as working with windows live mail.
download file:

Not to be a noob, but I am, so how do I install this?
I'm using the 8525 with WM6.
My main issue is getting Windows Live to run on WiFi, I'm assuming this will fix it. Any help would be great, thanks.

I want to make a online diary with my HTC Wizard/Qtek 9100, help and tips .)

I want to make a diary with my HTC wizard and I want it online so I can write it anywhere and dont have to make backups and stuff.
I tried PocketBlogger and registered on MSN Spaces but PocketBlogger just crashes. I also thought of using the Google mobile bloggspott but its so much work with using hotmail and mail and stuff in windows mobile so it just seems too much.
Any tips of making quick, easy diarys/bloggs in windows mobile?
Im running the original windows mobile 5 OS on it now, when I get thetime I will try to upgrade it to WM6.

Push Email

Hi all
Its been a while since i have been here ( as i switched to the iphone), while i think the phone is really cool, i miss some of the features of windows mobile ( calender, and productivity functions), i have got used to having my emails with me.
My question is can you do push email on windows mobile and if so how do i go getting more info on this (i tired to search but could not find what i was looking for). on thing i can do on my iphone is get all my work email forwarded to a gmail account this is then shown on my phone, but when i send a reply i shows the address as my orginal work email address, can this be done on windows mobile.
any help would be great as i want to get a tytn II.
cheers guys
Neel
no one knows
I sure if you do some searching on this site you will surely find what you are looking for.
ummm, push email functionality has been available since windows mobile 5.0... talk to your IT guys if you want your work email sent to a windows mobile phone, pretty much all of them have push capability, slower than black berries but still gets the job done MUCH better than polling...
if you're interested in it, theres a java based program called funambol that is/was open source and is still in development i think, not sure... if you run your computer and have experience with ftp file programs and such with a dedicated broadband internet service (nowadays what internet forum user doesn't) this would be a good solution for you... you'll download all your stuff to your own computer, OTA contacts and PIM sync without having to have an enterprise server
it works very well at this point, but i believe its still open source on some platforms, give it a try

more specifically, you want myfunambol, the free personal service, here is the link for that

Help with Windows Mobile SIP VOIP

I honestly have NO idea where this should go, so I'll put it in this, the most relavent-looking place, and let the mods deal with it if I am proved to be wrong
Anyway. My friend owns a SIP VOIP server, allowing one to connect to it through teh internet and then dial out, recieve calls, or join conference calls. I am using a SCH-i760 with WinMo 6.1, so the built-in VOIP is non-functional/ not present, and I downloaded some cabs that failed to enable the integrated SIP client. No, Fring does not work on my phone for some reason. The only client I have been able to get working is SJPhone, but it is AMAZINGLY clunky, does not save my password/autologin, and I would like to be able to use the built-in Windows Mobile dialpad/answerer, and missed-call functionality.
Grateful to anyone who can help me here. The reason I'm wanting this is because I'm a money-strapped teen who can't afford Verizons high data services (and i can't find out an easy way to unlock this phone) but still wants to be able to have a 'cell number'.
Thanks,
Tandyman
