Hi all,
I am writing an app (Visual Studio, C#, .NET CompactFramework) in which both the WiFi connection and GPRS connection are available for use at the same time. I am working on a WinMobile 6 HTC Wizard in USA on T-Mobile network.
When I have both connections open, I am able to access the WiFi but not the GPRS (faster connection I imagine). Does anybody have any ideas on how I could leverage using both connections, binding sockets on each?
Any help in this area is greatly appreciated. I don't know much about the CommManager in WinMobile, but if anybody knows any way for me to *possibly* be able to use both connections, I'd really appreciate it. Any ideas how to write my own CommManager would be helpful too.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Hello guys,
I was just wondering: I have a network provider that offers me internet only through a proxy and there are several applications that I use that cannot be set up to work that way. Is there any application developed for windows mobile (htc touch cruise in my case) that will act as a proxyfier, as in forcing all connections to go through the proxy?
Thanks for your help.
Hi everyone,
I would like to know if anyone knows how to make my Vox default to using a wifi connection instead of GPRS.
My phone often makes automated connections during the night and from my searches round the setup menus I have only found ways to make it connect to gprs connections or a already connected wifi.
So is it possible to make the phone enable and use a wifi connection 'on demand'?
Thanks in advance,
Jamie
Hi,
I’m using a glofiish X610, windows mobile pro 6.1. Wifi connection is working great.
I like to get SIP calling working therfore I'm adding the two files “SipConfigTool_2_0_1.CAB” and “WM6VoIP.CAB” to the mobile and my Wifi is still working.
But when I enter any characters in the SIP config file and save this configuration, the Wifi connection is dropped and can’t be re-established.
Consequently, the Internet Calling is Not available.
When deleting the entries in the SIP config file, the Wifi connection is working flawless again, and the Internet Calling is available. But since I’m not registered with my SIP-Proxy, I can’t do any SIP calls.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and has a solution to it?
Kind Regards
Mirjam
Such a good day, I wanted to make an inquiry, you could guide me if there is any application that simulates a slow connection in Windows Mobile applications to test for performance, I've tried removing the 3G connection and only works with data connection Edge but I like being able to simulate much slower connections.
If you know of any application is the would greatly appreciate.
Greetings
If such an application excists for WinMo I'm not sure, though for Windows running on PC there's a program called NetLimiter which does what you want (wikipedia info here).
The next alternative would be to buy a (hardware) port-switcher and from there throttle the connection.
Success,
