thanks to phil's wm6, my 2125 i can select network & see the actual name - HTC Tornado

After upgrading my cingular 2125 with phils beta wm6, i can now select my network, which wasnt posssible before. Also since i have the - Feature Code: 4EON, on my acct., which displays "Off Network" when off network, rather than Cingular, but now instead of "Off Network" it says the actual network name.
Now my other question is iam in alabama/georgia. If i click on "Preferred Networks" and i can see checkmarks by networks cingular/att has roaming agreements, but i see that 310-890, which is UniCel, and 31026, which is T Mobile are unselected. I am able to manually select them and roam on them. Doesn't cingular have roaming agreements with tmobile?

XDA2 prepaid option not available

Trying to setup a brand new xda2, it will not allow me to select prepay gprs, it will only allow post paid, any help appreciated.
I don't think O2 (it is O2 you're talking about right?) has that option for the UK customers. It would appear that their Mobile Internet GPRS network doesn't seem to support PAYG customers. If you are planning to use it PAYG, I think the only thing you can get is GPRS WAP but not 'true' internet. But even then, I have quite a lot of difficulty 'surfing' WAP pages via PIE; can do it better with EZWAP.
For some reason, I did note that I could select Ireland and then the prepay option will be 'enabled' on that particular screen.

MVNO Issue (Virgin/TMob UK using Orange)

Hi Guys,
Basically my provider is Virgin Uk who is an MVNO. They use TMobiles network. TMobile has an agreement with Orange so that we can use their network when the TMob/Virgin signal is not good. Once I am on the Orange network, the network name changes to 'Virgin' from the normal 'virgin'.
Note, in the notification pull down tray where you can see the current network, when I am on my home network ('virgin'), it shows as 'no service'.
Whilst I am on the 'virgin' network (actually the TMob network), I can use data without any changes to the roaming settings. If I swap over onto the 'Virgin' network (actually the Orange network), Android tells me that I am roaming and thus I have lost data. At this stage I have to change the roaming settings to enable data.
In my CM9 rom, I have an option to enable 'National Data Roaming'. Should this option allow me to use data on the 'Virgin' network (actually the Orange network)?
This doesn't appear to be the case and I have to switch on the main 'Data Roaming' option which would then mean when travelling abroad where I am actually roaming, I would get charged for any data usage.
Does anyone have ideas on how to sort this out so I don't have to keep changing my Roaming options?
Thanks

Unable to register to Danish GSM networks

I just bought a OPO second hand from UK and I'm unable to use any Danish simcard. I had an old vacation sim from the Philippines that worked (and roamed) straight away. If I try automatic network selection or direct network selection I get "Can't connect to this network right now, try again later!". I'm at a complete loss here and any help would be appreciated.
I've checked that LTE/GSM is selected in radios and LTE (preferred) is set in the normal settings. The phone can see all the networks here in Denmark in the 'Network Operators' list.

Can't find "Network operators" setting

The phone is one of the Verizon Moto Gs and it's been used on T-Mobile for some time now. I have two of them, and one shows the network operators setting in the menu for cellular network settings. Unfortunately my wife took the other one overseas and T-Mobile wasn't connecting to a local network for roaming and now she's trying to use a local sim and still can't connect. Her phone only has "Data roaming access", "Preferred network type" and "Access Point Names" in the "Cellular network settings" menu. "Network operators" is suspiciously missing. Is there something that needs configuring for this to show up? Has anyone else noticed that option missing?

Manually select network doesn't work properly

Hi everyone,
I have two option in Settings>Mobile data>Network operators:
Search for networks (Choose from a list of available networks)
Choose network automatically (Automatically use the most suitable network)
I've chose first option and set my carrier network. Any time I come close to country border, the phone turned automatically to roaming network, because they has stronger signal. It's very frustrating for me, especially because I still have the reach of my carrier network.
I need real manual select network option, is there any other adjustment?
I have the exact same problem and it's absolutely unbearable. This page is the first I can find after long searches, too bad there is no answer.
