Hi!
Take a look at this link: http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=736
Does anyone know something more or have some other rumors to share about this new phone. To me it looks amazing, I'd definitely would like the numeric keypad for easy dialing, smartdial lookup and writing text messages with T9.
And with integrated FM tuner, GPS and a fast CPU this could be an awesome device.
Regards,
PK

Any1 know how to completely disable (i dont want it in memory too) Touch FLO?
Hey...
Try this:
\\\REGISTRY\HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\
EnableCube = 0 (original = 1)
It worked on my MDA Touch and i know it worked on some Orbit 2 too....
Tweaking instead of On/Off
The Polaris also has a number of other registry entries under TFLOSettings that, in addition to allowing you to turn Touch FLO on or off, also enable you to tweak its sensitivity. Does anyone know if these settings documented somewhere? I've done a search and found bits and pieces of information but not all the information in one place. Thanks.
WHY, oh why?

Question: Why would you want to disable TouchFLO? I personally think TFLO is the best invention since sliced bread...

I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351082 under Tips & Tricks (post #6) from the Nike forum but it works on the Polaris. I changed the Touch Flo settings on both my Nike and Polaris from 15 to 50 and now it's much faster. Hope this helps, let me know.

I like TFLO. However, certain apps like PhatPad which I use don't behave well with it. So I would like to exclude certain apps from TFLO. I could do this with fTouchFlo by editing a config file. However, I don't know how to do this with TFLO and a search didn't find anything. Anyone help would be appreciated.
Disable TouchFLO - to do or not to do . . .

Good for you. To each his own.
I DON'T like it.
I want to use stylus or buttons only. I don't give a damn about finger functions on the screen.
Let people do what they want. Help them if you are interested and you can, but no need to denigrate them.
Don't take this as a flame - no offense intended - I just recognize that whatever feature exists for any mechanical device, some will love it, some will be indifferent, some will hate it.

I am not sure that is possible. Your best best is to make the PhatPad developers aware of whatever issues you are having so a possible fix can be applied to future versions of the app.
I want also disable TouchFlo and replace it with the 4 cube version SCLPF
Hello, I have my polaris for a week now.
But I have the oppsite problem. My TFLO is disabled, but I don't know why!
I dont have my Polaris in landscape mode, so it should work.
I don't have any strange programms installed.
Can anyone help me with this?
TFLO has reg settings to disable for certain apps. Eg there's one for photo album there.
Is there anyway I can benefit from TouchFlo and some of the SPB softwares (like phone suite, Spb diary, mobile shell etc.) both?
I would like to see multiple appointments on my today screen and also the task list by categories which is very important.
Moreover, I have found that the sound stuff doesnt work properly on any of these roms available here unless i use mobile shell which really keeps phone silent only when i have a calender item that marks me busy. TouchFlo sound option keeps the phone silent eventhough someone's birthday is there on the calendar or even if my out of office event is there on calendar..
when i killed twice manilla2d.exe all that absolutly useless (for me and maybe some other users) stuff as panel in the bottom and large alarm clock which makes my device stupid disappeared. now there is clean screen with wallpaper. very nice, i like it but there is string "tap here to launch touchflo tm". is it possible to disable manilla2d.exe startup on every boot and this start link on the screen? (via system registry file?)
so when it is completely disabled it would be perfect to have some tiny alternative as clock in system tray or on the screen. and one more useful possible function is smth like custom desktop shortcuts.
do you now such software programs?
htc touch elf, wm 6.1

works good on my vox (with dr. gonzo guava rom 0.5) and looks perfect. (i am using black theme). i didnt notice any bugs yet and its so fast too.
http://pointui.com/Home.aspx
little hint:
to unlock keyboard you have to press "up", then "down" on d-pad.
(thx h4waii)
Tried it a while ago on my Vox, only issue is that it doesn't run at the system level - so backing out with the End call button will exit the application completely.
BTW, you don't have to push center on the d-pad to unlock. Just up and down or even down and up quickly will work. Hopefully they add more support for skins and add the ability to input numbers from the home screen to place a call.
I have been playing around with this for a few days now. The interface is zippy and looks ultracool. However, there is almost nothing you can do to customize it to your liking. Because of this, it remains only a good idea for me, can't use it
Hopefully, the developers will fix all those issues and we'll have a really usable version for smartphones. That would be something...!!
Yes I'm also looking forward to it
I just want the ability to see which Wifi network I'm connected to, and a better application laucher (too much scrolling for me), also what said h4waii and of course skinning support.
And it would be perfect for me, I don't really use any specific plugin on homescreen anyway.
Personnaly I tested, and I wasn't enable to dial a phone number.
I had to bring back to WM home to dial a number.
I think it's a little borring...
Did you see this problem
Yes. There is no dialer for PointUI, hopefully they make one.

And so??? How do you dial a number?
Well on pocket pc they can hit the regular green phone key and that brings up the usual dial screen but it doesn' work on smartphones.
Well i's still a beta
Ok thank you DOc
it has been released for WM2003 (SE) now too as an Alpha Version, runs pretty stable on my XDA II with WM2003.

To dial a number, you should completely terminated the home.exe process, dial your number and then you can bring back up the PointUI home application. If you simply hit Home twice, it will keep the pointui process running in the background which seems to consume a lot of RAM.
I have my zero key mapped to upon triple keypress, close the active application.
I dont really see the advantage of using this program what functions does it add ?
Hi everyone
I would just like to pose the question, what your idea of the "perfect" setup for the Palm Treo 750?
As for myself I have:
S2U2.99c
S2V.32
PCM.19
PCM Keyboard.13
Weather To Go 4.2
Zombienexus Black Reptile skin dial pad
PointUI 1.02b with Update Manager
I would just like to see what other have so I can possibly improve my experience with my Treo 750.
Thanks to all who post!!
Does your sms work through PCM .19? Does your dialpad skin actually work and change the look of it? Can you post links to all of these programs you have or cabs?
My sms does not work through pcm but I hope someone knows how to fix this problem.
As for the dial pad, when I am in PointUi I can press the green phone button to go directly to the new dial pad. When I am not in PointUI i have to be on a call first then press the phone icon thats by the reception bars in order to see it. Also it seems to take away my sound if Ichange my ringtones but I have found one dial pad that does not remove my sound. The Zombienexus has many themes in the .zip pack but the one that always works is a simple black dial pad.
Also in order to make PCM your default keyboard you need to use the DefaultIM file I included.

You can use Advance Configurator 3.3.
Wow, nice! I belived that mostly of the software and layouts on D2 was the same, compared to TP2, but no.
Is there a cab or a tweak that has android like typing for the HD2. When I had my htc tmobile G1 it would automatically capitalize the "i" while im texting and also automatically add the apostophes where they should be. if there is something like this available please direct me to the right link. Thanks guys. HD67
Moved as not software release.
You can use resco keyboard it has a nice on screen keyboard like the iphone big keys nice though. Try it.
