Ok - So I have a mde very noobish error. I have in the past flashed my Kaise to a number of cooked ROMs but had recently just got hold a replacement handset from T-Mobile UK.
I was inteding to load Duttys new WM6.1 ROM and so ran JumpSPL from my phone but then proceeded to flash duttys ROm without flashing HardSPL first !!!
The ROM loaded but now my phone is stuck in the bootloader and whatever I do - I cant get by it or flash any other ROM or anything.
Whatever I try I either get Error 262 or 292 (I think) which is invalid Vendor Id. I have searched but cant find a solution.
Please help me !!!!

I have tried a hard reset (power + camera keys) but nothing - the phone still boots to the tri-color bootloader screen.
anything else I can do? I'm really starting to get worried...

The key combination you are using is to enter Bootloader Mode.

You should be able to install hardspl from that bootloader screen, I had to do it for a friend who bricked his kaiser in the same fasion.

I did try that but didn't work. I will give it another go now and post back.
UPDATE: I cant get past the first bit where it needs the activesync connection enabled i.e. icon to be GREEN. This isnt gona happen coz I can't get the phone to boot.
what next? Its looking like I complectely messed my phone up...
anyone else have any ideas? I'm getting desperate here... hey I will even donate if I have to - just help me bring my phone back from the brink!

I have tried a hard reset but even after doing it - the phone STILL insists on booting into the tri-color bootloader screen.
I definitely was not ignoring your advice as you were the first person kind enough to respond with a possiblt solution to my problem. Unfortunately, didnt work.
Also, I have found that if I try to re-flash the original ROM I get an INvALID VENDOR ID message - obviously down to the fact I dont have HardSPL flashed. I cant flash HardSPL either.
Do you have any other ideas/suggestions I can try please?
UPDATE: Sorry, I think I was looking at the wrong post - what is MTTY and where can I get it please?

Have you actually read what I linked ?
Currently there are at least two other guys having the same problem. Please start reading the current threads.
When flashing a ROM on my 8925, I get to the point where it looks like it is about to load, but it stays at 0% and goes nowhere. I tried looking for a fix, but only found the White screen of death which is different from my problem.
Please HELP!

Try flashing in bootloader.
Hold down Power button + Camera Button + insert stylus into reset.
Flash away.

Do you see the upload meter on your PC or on both PC and Phone? If only on the PC, then you might not have the HardSPL flashed or installed, which you would need to do first before you can flash to a new ROM. If you see the load meter on both screens, phone and PC and it hangs, then do what Alltheway suggested.
I tried that too. I have no problem getting to where it is about to load. It just won't load and stays at 0%.
I get 0% on both PDA and PC.

OK... Turn off your Fire wall and pause your Anti Virus program until the program loads to 100%.
Once more... Did you install the HardSPL?

I tried loading HardSPL. I get the same problem when trying to load HardSPL. 0% progress. I'll try stopping my antivirus to see if that fixes things. I also have an 8525 in which I'm able to flash ROMs with no problems on the same computer. I suspect it is something with my 8925.

No it is not... The Qualcom processor behaves differently than the Samsung. So the loading environment one processor accepts is not necessary a common denominator.
Disable your Firewall and your AntiVirus and start fresh. Please read the HardSPL ( CID Unlocking) procedure carefully.

OK, I deinstalled my virus protection and turned off my firewall and still I get up to the point that a ROM (even for hardSPL) is about to load and nothing happens.
I did a hard reset and it looks like it cleared the problem. I was able to flash the hardSPL...Thanks everyone!

I have the same issue.. And none of that software is even installed on this machine. I've tried the hard reset too. Still nothing. Any ideas?

0% and then i get a recovery message on my vista pc to eject my battery.

HardSPL is NOT the same as Hard Reset ! Please read the thread on Unlocking your CID.

You definitely have a Anti-Virus program that is conflicting with the install. I would try the install on another machine, then see if you get the same issue.

... lol ... Yeah, I know. I know what I'm doing. Im not a rookie. I've been flashing phones for like 2 years now. I was saying that I've even hard reset'd the phone and tried on a fresh hard reset. To no avail.
just upgraded my phone vesion from wm6.1 19199 touchflo to wm6.1 19209 touchflo yesterday.. and it worked well, until now, i am trying to turn on the phone but it stucks at " windows mobile 6.1 professional ".
i tried to turn it on a lot of times and to do soft reset and take the battery out but it is the same all the times. i also charge the battery but it is full and it still happens.
please! what can i do??

To perfomr a Hard Reset :-
In this scenario the common solution is to do a hard reset,to do the Hard reset.Press and hold the comm manager button and the voice command button,while keep the two buttons pressed,and at the same time,use the stylus to lightly press and hold the Reset button,the phone will reboot and ask for confirmation,accept it and phone will do a hard reset.check if it helps,otherwise,most probably,its a bad flash or the the extended_rom is corrupted.Reflash the official carrier's rom to clear/correct the extended_rom or reflash the TNT 19209 touchflo ,do this with getting into Bootloaders (Tricolor screen),hope it'll work.
the first solution dont work, in the second i press the reset button it resets and still have the problem.

Be a sport,don't start posting the same request and offering your service to everybody and in every thread, requesting them to send their phones to you for repair,you know it yourself its not feasible and practical.If you have a genuine solution,why don't you start a new thread and post the procedure alongwith the software you claim you have to revive a phone in this manner,if you honestly intend to help and do a service to the community. According to your name and email ,I presume you are somewhere in India,do you think,its viable to send all the phones from all around the world to you for repair,NO kidding !!! I don't mean any offense towards you though !

Activesync will not work in this situation,but if you are able to get into Bootloaders (tricolor screen) its possible to flash a rom,and you don't need to activesync to perform a flash,infact when you start a Rom to flash,it automatically cuts off the activesync all by itself even in the normal condition,so don't worry if the activesync doesn't work now,just try to get into Bootloaders mode and flash a rom.

Camera Button + Power on the phone,it'll take the phone into Bootloaders mode (tricolor screen).While in Bootloaders, Hook up the phone with pc via usb cable,watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloaders and run the RUU,it'll start to flash the Rom,ok
if everything fails rememer me........but be fast and stop trying all hanky panky things on ur device it can damage it further........

*** i got my phone up and running. i am using a very old firmware from at and t from 12/07. however, fromt this point on, any other rom that i try to use is giving me a 302 error, both official and cooked roms except for the old one. can anyone shine some insight on this? thanks.
UPDATE on current problem:
1) i tried to update to a custom rom for the first time. it had worked. i used hard spl 3.29, then installed the natf v4 rom. the rom worked fine and everything. however, it was not to my liking.
2) maybe this was my stupidest mistake because i am a newbie. i tried to install an official rom right after. when i did this, the phone was stuck on 89%, and just freezes. and now i am stuck at the tri color screen (boot screen).
3) nothing i load is working. can someone please point me in the right direction in what im suppoose to do from here. i tried the sticky thread, but i am not having any luck. i need this to work asap. please help. thanks all is aprpeciated.
when i try to install the same natf rom, i get the error 262. it doesnt even go past 0%.
when i try to install the original oem rom, it goes to 89%, and stops and gives me a 309 error.
there's plenty of stickies and other topics around that have potential solutions, try those first, post back if nothing's working.

yes ih ave tried. the phone is not workign whatsoever. it wont pass the at and t screen that show the R, G, and D numbers. i can do hard reset, that doesnt work. it just stops. im still searching all over the forum right now. but i need the right solution because i need to get this phone to work ughh im sorry if i seem like im asking to much. please any help is appreciated thanks.
i also cant plug it in through usb. after it freezes that stops too so i cant load anything to update the phone.
What version of hardspl are you flashing? Maybe your rom do not support that. try to manually go to tri color screen and see if it connect to USB or not.

i beleive it was 3.29. how do i manually go into tri color screen? note i cant go pass the first screen
i am currently trying the sd card method to boot up with the kaidiag.nbh file. its not working. nothing boots up. its still freezing at the first screen.

thanks. i jsut tried that. it booted up and isntalled update. it went to the tri color screen, then to the white loading screen, and now im stuck again...
ok it got pass the white loading screen. now im stuck at the good ol tri color screen. anything i was trying to load fromthis point foward is not working. evrtygyhing either is stuck on 0% or it jsut gives me an error to go to recovery mode. please help. i jsut want to revert bck to the oem rom if possible. i just need my phone up and running.
i am getting the error RUU 302. where would i go about this to do it from scratch? as i mentioned i so far have 3.29 hardspl installed

I installed 1.6 radio update from htc developers and my phone (32A) doesnt start. It stocks in htc logo. I can't go into fastboot mode, buttons do nothing. Anybody who nows what to do

i think i had 2005. i tried to intall radio 2.22.19.26l and when I restarted the phone do nothing. Stocks everytime on magic logo an can't get in fastboot while i was pressing Volume down+Off / Home+Off or Back+Off button. I know how to go into fastboot because I have intalled several roms via recovery.img
What can I do now?

follow this to get a dirty way to start from scratch...

i think that is why the radio is pwned.... i believe the ion is a 32B "device"

do nothing, no working buttons and no adb shelling (no any connection with pc)
try to pull the battery with the device powered on..
then hold home as you put the battery back in.

Before you even try to flash your device, first try to find out the diff between a and b devices, htc and google branded devices.
If you dowwnload ION official rom and flash, you shuld at least know what device it is made for, dont expect htc to tell you..
And dont blame forums for own stupidity.

I was saying that so that since he already tried to install a 32B radio, that if he were to get it up again, to install the right radio.
same problem here, bricked.
I am a newbie here, was using Cyanogen mod and myHero 1.1.2 without any problems (32A)
Wanted to try JAC's mod, hence updated my radio/spl.
Radio update went fine without errors, upon reboot it just hangs there at HTC MAGIC logo.
Bringing it to the carrier now for a swap, hopefully.
the only thing that phones do is that while i'm pressing joystick + off blue led turn on.just i do't know what it is and what this can do

have you tried the multiple ways to boot or adb it?
yes all the ways. adb wants the phone connected with pc, pc doesnot find phone when it isn't turn on or in fastboot. the only screen that apears on the phone is htc magic logo. nothing else.

when you plug it in to the computer, does it say unrecconized device?
i have no device connected while the htc screen apears. i used to have when i done updates before. windows when connecting a device I hear a sound.
its out of my relm, sorry man was hoping i could help.

Your device is bricked bro!!. Say its obituary. Never upgrade radio as it will not talk to SPL.
I'm sorry to report that you almost certainly have bricked the phone. I flashed a hero radio by mistake and the phone went back to htc for repair. They had to replace the main board.
man i had the same issue i took out the sim card and boot the phone in fastboot mode then did the recovery and now its back........ dont know if you wanna try that
