I installed 1.6 radio update from htc developers and my phone (32A) doesnt start. It stocks in htc logo. I can't go into fastboot mode, buttons do nothing. Anybody who nows what to do

i think i had 2005. i tried to intall radio 2.22.19.26l and when I restarted the phone do nothing. Stocks everytime on magic logo an can't get in fastboot while i was pressing Volume down+Off / Home+Off or Back+Off button. I know how to go into fastboot because I have intalled several roms via recovery.img
What can I do now?

i think that is why the radio is pwned.... i believe the ion is a 32B "device"

do nothing, no working buttons and no adb shelling (no any connection with pc)
try to pull the battery with the device powered on..
then hold home as you put the battery back in.

Before you even try to flash your device, first try to find out the diff between a and b devices, htc and google branded devices.
If you dowwnload ION official rom and flash, you shuld at least know what device it is made for, dont expect htc to tell you..
And dont blame forums for own stupidity.

I was saying that so that since he already tried to install a 32B radio, that if he were to get it up again, to install the right radio.
same problem here, bricked.
I am a newbie here, was using Cyanogen mod and myHero 1.1.2 without any problems (32A)
Wanted to try JAC's mod, hence updated my radio/spl.
Radio update went fine without errors, upon reboot it just hangs there at HTC MAGIC logo.
Bringing it to the carrier now for a swap, hopefully.
the only thing that phones do is that while i'm pressing joystick + off blue led turn on.just i do't know what it is and what this can do

have you tried the multiple ways to boot or adb it?
yes all the ways. adb wants the phone connected with pc, pc doesnot find phone when it isn't turn on or in fastboot. the only screen that apears on the phone is htc magic logo. nothing else.

when you plug it in to the computer, does it say unrecconized device?
i have no device connected while the htc screen apears. i used to have when i done updates before. windows when connecting a device I hear a sound.

Your device is bricked bro!!. Say its obituary. Never upgrade radio as it will not talk to SPL.
I'm sorry to report that you almost certainly have bricked the phone. I flashed a hero radio by mistake and the phone went back to htc for repair. They had to replace the main board.
man i had the same issue i took out the sim card and boot the phone in fastboot mode then did the recovery and now its back........ dont know if you wanna try that

I had the same issue, it was stuck forever in the vodafone logo, and fastboot mode or recovery modes didn't work at all, no matter what combination of buttons, after an incomplete SPL update.
"The only thing slightly different was keeping the trackball pushed when pressing the power button, lighted up the led light in blue, and nothing else, no logo or any other activity.
I thought it was completely bricked, but no. Here's what i did
With the phone off, connected the USB cable, then powered it up. While it was still frozen on the logo screen, i could actually issue fastboot commands, so I was able to send a fastboot boot recovery.img and flash again the SPL, and a new ROM. No problem after that." EHRepli
Try what he said on a different post and see if that works. If not then you're screwed.

There are a few thread on how to recover from that. Some can recover, some can not. It all depends on what was done initially and which radio image was installed and the OS image etc.
I recently flashed a ion (32B) radio on the Roger's magic and was completely stuck. Sent it in to HTC and they fixed mine for US$20.00 and 10 day of waiting. If your phone is still under warranty, do that. Worst case, if you are in Canada, see if a Rogers store can replace it for you.

Same here, I have tried every key sequence known to man and still no luck. I tailed the output of messages (under linux) watching for a glimmer on the usb port when connecting/powering on/removing/replacing battery etc etc but there is nothing.
Without it there is no way for me to fastboot a recovery. I'm afraid I have a $500 brick unless someone has a radical idea...:-(

It happen the same to me in my Rogers HTC magic, just wipe again and reflash thats how I solved it
Make sure you flash the cm-rom and then flash the ebi1/32A port file.

or adb restart recovery or whichever it is
someone more familiur with adb can explain alil more on this
Download the stock ruu exe and run that from your computer.

Try running adb reboot bootloader but first off run adb kill-server then adb devices to see if it is picking up your phone. If that doesnt work download the stock ruu and run it, hopefully all goes well with either method.

I had this problem. I just plugged it back into the PC turned off and cwr booted up for me. Hope that helps.

Hey man i had a problem like that i used ace hack kit v9...Just do everything over again and it will work..
This is in the wrong section. Questions should be posted in the general section.
Its not volume up/down/power. Its just volume down + power. What is sounds like you did was restart your phone while it was trying to flash the rom. You should be able to get to the hboot menu just by holding power and volume down to power up the phone and wait till hboot shows up.
This will be probably the best answer I got.
1. Turn your phone off
2. Take out the battery and insert it back it
3. Don't turn your phone on
4. Plug in your USB cord,connected to your computer
5. Your phone will Automatically Boot up
6. You will be in the ClockWork Recovery
7. There will be many options
8. Select "BACK UP AND RESTORE"
9. Restore EVERYTHING.
10. youre phone will start normally, but it will be really LAGGY
11. Then ROOT your phone again to make it normal.
What has happened to yours has happened to mine. This is the way I fixed mine.

Hello, i've dome something stupid, i flashed ext3 system.img into my(2818 rockchip) Ramos T11AD, and now i only see that system cant find mkswap, busybox, shell, etc.

You are far from a brick. Did you make a backup? Can you get into recovery? Do you have an engineering bootloader? Did you try to load a backup? What phone do you have?

you should try to manually flash a recovery mod on your phone through ADB shell

Im not exactly sure, but is there any at-boot options besides recovery (I.e. hold volume up or volume down at boot and see options (im coming from Atrix which has these))? If so, try to get into an option called fastboot. Its a protocall which allows you to use the fastboot program from the Android SDK on your computer to flash new images. There are precompiled versions from HTC (search google) that allow you to connect your device using the USB cable and flash new images. As I haven't even ever seen the device, I can't help u a whole lot, sorry.

sir actually i used htc quickroot 1.1.13 releses and when i clicked on the start button the software
requested me for a hboot.img unfortunatly i have putted a recovery .img and my phone turns of and only softkey light was on
when i unpluged it and it was bricked now whenever i try to turn on my phone there is no response vol down + pwr don,t work only vol up +pwr button works and phone vibrate three times and the red light is blinking in this mode computer detect a comm port qualcomm diagnostic hs-usb 900e . no recovery no fastboot no adb.

i putted a clockworkmod recovery image instead of hboot.img
Unfortunately, if you can't access recovery, fastboot, or ADB, you have very little chance of fixing it.

Yes but htc and or Qualcomm has to do it. I've hard bricked my Inspire with nothing but a glowing black screen and ran the ruu setup and got it back working.

I have also tried the ruu but no luck nothing happens ruu didnt detect the phone no luck.

I had previously rooted by ONE S T-Mobile version and it had been working fine. I then decided to try out another rom. I likely flashed an incorrect boot img because it would only reboot into fastboot, but would still allow me to go into recovery. I went to recovery and restored my nandroid backup; however, now the phone will get stuck on the opening HTC screen the red language on the bottom, "this build is for development purposes only." It will hang on this screen for about 20 seconds and then turn off. No loop. When I attempt to power up again, I get a quick horizontal flash of light across my screen and then the orange LED comes on in the top left corner indicating the phone is charging. I then hold down power and again the phone gets stuck on the opening HTC screen with the red language.
Any advice regarding a remedy would be much appreciated.

You need to flash the boot.img included in the rom via fastboot after restoring your backup.

When p hone is on you'll have to power it off manually by pressing power for 10+ seconds. Then you should be able to enter the bootloader and fastboot. (Vol down + power) No matter if you have flashed a wrong kernel.

Thanks for the advice on how to enter the bootloader. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I try, using your method and a variety of other methods, I still can't get past "HTC developmental purposes only" screen. I'm not new to android and have experience with a number of phones, but this is my first HTC. Pretty frustrating thus far.
I'm to the point where I'd love to send the phone to someone who could RUU it and send it back.

does the pc recognize the phone via usb?? you could try with using CMD script to boot into bootloader... i think there is one present on windroid:

Thanks for the help.
Thankfully I finally figured out how to consistently get my phone to enter into Fastboot; however, no the trouble I'm having is finding the proper RUU. I've tried the 3 T-mobile varients available in the RUU depository found here

But alas, while I am able to run the RUU program, which enters my phone into a mode where the screen is all black expect for the HTC logo in the middle, I keep on getting error codes. Are there more than 3 RUU varients identified in the depository?
Oh, I should note that I was also able to get into recovery, but my SD was unable to mount so I can't find my Nandroid.
Also, while the RUU program recongizes that I have my phone attached, the Hasson utility does not, nor does my computer.

You need to relock the bootloader before you run the RUU
And if your CID is Optus001 and you're S-ON you can't use T-Mobile RUUs (T-MOB010)

How did you enter the fast boot?
I was playing with System Files because of the low mic volume problem, rebooted and since then the phone does exactly like yours: 20sec of "this build is for development purposes only" then it switches off.
All button-combinations tried.
The PC in Printer and Devices sees it as an Android Phone, Device Manager sees a HTC MTP Device, but I don't see it in Windows Explorer.
Adb do not see any connected device.
I guess I have to change the motherboard.
