E100 vs. W100 - whats the difference? - P3600 Accessories

I just saw that HTC is releasing a stereo headset with audio control called E100
http://www.expansys.com/htc/p_htc_item.aspx?i=150191
bit I simply cant see where it differs from the W100.
Does anyone know this?

I guess it's the same, but the E100 has a headset with it, the W100 does not

Headset with FM radio

Hi,
Is there a stereoheadset with FM radio to use with the xda II?
Regards
JoseF
if you get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm conveter then you can use all headsets with fm radio
that is unless you really need a working mic and buttons like the normal headset
otherwise i dont think so the xda series dont seem to work with other headsets when it comes to buttons then their own and i havent seen a HTC headset with radio
Thanks ,
I have one adapter, I usually use with a normal headset to listen to mp3.
I have try to search , I have not found a headset with FM radio and at the same time could play the mp3 in the xda.
I have seen the Motorola FM100 but you just get the mono from mp3,radio it´s okej with stereo.
If anyone can point to such a headset Iwill be very happy.

it says it only compatible with some samsung phones or something but it does have a normal connector so maybe it works with others aswell
Just get the Alfa Xlive2 -- works for me and great quality.

Frustrated with (lack) of new A2DP BT headsets

I have owned ~5 bluetooth headsets over the past 3 - 4 years and currently have been using the Plantronics Voyager 855 for over a year. Reason for this headset is I like to listen to streaming audio (XM & Sirius) on my phone in stereo and mono...this headset was the only one to offer decent quality sound in a compact package (no dongles hanging from my neck etc..) Problem is my headset is showing its age with shortened batt. life and the range is not what it used to be (also sound as a headset was never that great in noisy environments). My frustration is after almost 1.5 yrs I cant find any new headsets that support a2dp and come in a small package (cant be behind the head both sides like the S9). Jawbone headset has had out 3 different new models during the whole time i have had the 855 and still has not come out with one that supports a2dp...same with all other major manufacturers that I looked at. It just seems like now there is no push by manufactures to produce a mono or optional stereo headset in a small size (I love the blueant Q1 but again..no a2dp).
Anyone know of new headsets coming out that fit my description? Also looked at the use of the btaudio.cab file to "make" any BT headset stream audio ...anyone have experience using this? biggest concern in using this cab would be greatly reducing batt life on my BT.
Thanks
I had great success with nokias a2dp bt steroe headsets
Looking on Nokia web site I cant seem to find any in-the-ear headsets types that list A2DP as a feature. What is the model your using?
I'm having great success with my Lubix stereo headset.
I use BH-503 from nokia

Remote control with headphones

On my previous phones diamond and hero i've used the HTC RC E100 remote. It was quite handy, allowed me to control the music player without getting the phone out of my pocket, and the best thing was i could just use my own headphones!
Unfortunatly it has a mini-usb connector. Now that the desire uses a micro USB connector i am looking for something similiar.
Control for music, volume, phone (incl. mic) and where i can plug in my own headphones.
I just love those in ear headphones and don't want to use the ones that came with the desire.
Does anybody know about a remote that would fit my desire and my needs?
Thanks everyone!

Maybe something like these: http://www.lgmobileshop.co.uk/go/ac...10m?NAVID=2DE6D616-3005-BC57-7F4D79DFC6BE490B
Not sure how good/bad they are in terms of quality.

The Desire uses a standard micro USB (5-pin micro-USB 2.0) connection, I am just thinking whether or not the Desire even supports audio through the USB...
As far as I know, the Nexus One uses a standard Micro-USB connector, which has no audio support. The only way to listen through an amp is Bluetooth or the headphone jack.

thank you for the provided information. as the nexus one and the desire are very similar, i guess the desire will miss the audio support via usb as well. in all other phones where audio via usb was supported, HTC has used a non standard usb port.
i will keep on searching for a remote that plugs in via the headphone jack. if someone has an idea
cheers,

I think I have a solution.
Jabra BT3030 bluetooth headset. A2DP and AVRCP so you get your stereo sound and also utilise audio controls. Plus it has a 3.5mm jack so you can plug in whatever headphones you want.
Google it. I've got one on the way.
I've been looking for head phones too, and these look like the best offer so far. I am a bit worried about the blue tooth running down the battery though. But let me know how you find these. If all the buttons work with the desire I'll probably get myself a set.
I've been using my Jabra BT3030 and the controls do work. There is a small time lag between pressing a button on the Jabra and it responding.
One good thing I found about the phone (with or without headphones) is that the volume control on the phone works even when the phone has gone to sleep. On my HD2 that didn't happen and it really annoyed me.

So how is the Jabra overall? Worth buying? I've been reading the amazon reviews and some issues have been raised, like the buttons not working with music after you get a call. Do the volume buttons work, and how is the sound quality? Lastly, how bad is it on the battery?
Thanks in advance.

i think i will give it a try, the only thing that worries me is the fact that i would have another thing to charge. I was also thinking about soldering a headphone jack into the standard htc remote that came with the phone. i will keep you up to date.
cheers,

these look interesting, i've been thinking about looking for some headphones with music controls too...
how is the sound quality with the jabra bt3030, is it just as good as having headphones plugged into the phone?
does running bluetooth hammer the phone battery?
yea i like the look of it, the ability to skip tracks without whipping ur phone out seems great. that always annoyed me with the iphone.. but as i listen to music for hours on end at work (Without a charger handy), i wanna know how much the BT will effect battery life?
id imagine it would decline pretty quickly ?
I have a Jabra BT 3030 which I used extensively with my G1 because I hated carrying around a MiniUSB to audio jack lead.
However I haven't even tried it with my Desire, like someone said its just another thing you need to remember to charge, and as the Desire has a headphone socket (and a micro usb) it would mean carry two leads, or an adaptor to keep them both charged.
That said the Jabra has a fairly decent battery life as long as you remember to turn it off when your not using it.
The sound quality is perfectly acceptable for listening to music unless your a real audiophile, though its obviously not as good as a direct connection to the phone.

Heh. Arrowed.
I use a pair of Sony DR-BY20NX Bluetooth headphones with my desire. headphone battery life is 11hrs.it also has audio controls and can answer call.
fairly cheap but discontinued and becoming hard to find. well worth it though.
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
If you guys want a good pair of headphones that dont cost the earth and sound as good as phones twice as expensive then look no further then this

I was in CPW last week and the guy who was serving me also had a desire, he was using the Nokia Bh-214 (iirc), its a bluetooth remote with a 3.5mm plug. I tried it out and it sounded good, it has full controls including volume. Its around £40 and available
Also, I have been searching about and found the Sony MW-600 its a bluetooth remote with a 3.5 mm jack, it also comes with headphones and has a built in FM radio. Also has full controls, its around £40 and not out till May.
Personally I am going to wait till the Sony one is out, it has positive reviews and i trust Sony more when it comes to music and the like. Just annoying having to wait!
I am using a cheap BT A2DP, and it works very well. It can be used as BT handsfree or stereo earphone, also has a remote to skip and back the track, that works fine in TuneWiki (but it not for HTC player). The quality of the sound is still far below my KOSS earphone though... but for 26USD and free delivery that thing is really a good deal.
This is the link, but I just found out that is sold out at this moment.
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12286.
They have another one, almost the same spec but I don't know whether it works as good as the other one.

[Q] bluetooth stereo headset compatibility?

has anyone tried A2DP bluetooth headset with controls?
I just found this nokia bh-111 copy on dealextreme:
http://goo.gl/3vw3b
Looks good for the price, but i would only buy it if the playback controls are compatible and mic works.
Has anyone tried something like this?
I have an Omnia 7 if that matters.
I am using Motorola s605 A2DP headset with my Optimus 7 without issues . Playback controls switches tracks, pauses, stops and microphone works during calls as well.
I think you will have no problems with Nokia headset.
I know that of the standard is supported, it should work, but these particular ones are a nokia KNOCK OF so i am wary.
Thanks for the answer though, i'll probably buy it and hope for the best
looks like very good
