Sorry but I'm new with WM phones. Still using my Treo 650. I didn't understand that very well. Already tried that ROM. I thought it would simulate the one of I-phone with the HTC cube but I didn't find that fuction. Could you be a little more specific?
ROMs for Wizards wont work on Universals.
It is very difficult to port a ROM from one device to another.
We already have several WM6 ROMs for the Universal. Pick one.
Then just install those other apps they included on the WM6Ti ROM.
About the HTC cube thingy on Elf (Touch), they haven't figured out how to get them to work on Universal yet. And since only few devs are left working on the Universal now.. you probably won't see that happening soon.
Don't ask me for links.. I don't have any.

I've installed the New HTC Home Plug for the Wizrd it runs well, but the problem is that the row which shows the missed phone calls, the sms and the e-mails appears only the by half. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Think it's a problem with using the same CABs between VGA and non-VGA phones.

We used to have Midget_1990, helmi_c, indra, etc.
The only ones left are Ivan, Laurentius26, and kdskamal making new ROMs.
Laurentius26 and kdskamal only creates new ROMs via the kitchen using the same old base ROMs.. so they're not really the kind of guys that ports a ROM from one device to another, but of course they could also do it in due time, that's why I said we are not going to see that anytime soon.
Besides, they don't need to port those ROMs since we already have a very good base ROM (courtesy of Midget). All that is needed to do is fix a few problems (wifi, mms, and that bloody video call). And that's what our master guru god Laurentius26 is doing.

Can anybody confirm if Jwrightcmp is working on an updated ROM for the universal with the current build.

Midget's currently using a Himalaya, he broke his Uni. He's planning to get the Advantage for his next device. I don't know about the others.

Is theire somebody who is able to make a clean (compleet) basic rom lik e orwell 1984? Only orwell didn't have a camera function.
I'm trying to clean up the faria rom but until still unsuccesfull. I'm using Faria because I believe at this moment it's the best / stable and fastest rom, but I don't need so much programs. For programs I prefer an other developer and some I don't want to usee. But because these programs are integrated to the rom you can't uninstall them...

There was no office apps in Muns ROM or was I just blind ? Cuz I put it on and then went with fahira ROM cuz of the office apps.
They were in the start menu, if you chose not to show it there, it was moved to the programs folder i think.

Yep, as Golfernutflorida mentioned, the Office apps folder is in the Start menu on mUns (and I believe thats where it was at in MBE too). So they are there and they work (I've used Word and Excel a few times now on the mUn rom).
Also remember that Faria has said he's coming out with a Vanilla rom also. But I do have to say I'm pretty happy with the mUn rom right now so am staying with it for now.

Ok good I will try again. I knew they had to be there. BTW how is the battery drain on the mUn`s ROM specially with data usage ? Cuz Faria`s ROM the data usage drains the battery like crazy, and thats the main reason that I want to switch to a diffrent ROM.

If you can wait a little Faria has said (repeatedly) that he is going to release a vanilla version of his WM6. My sense is that people keep PM'ing him and asking for this over and over and over... I think that kind of 'interuption' only delays the release (because there is only so much time in the day...)

That's way I don't ask ' ROM-developers' by PM. They all are doing a great yob and when they have someting new, they tell us. I think they are going mad for all the pm's they receive.

That is mUn rus s first release modified by nottoosmart.
The one we were referring to in this thread earlier is Farias vanilla WM6 that has not been released yet.

There is no official ROM for HTC universal available yet. I have previously use Ivans Touch Rom. Currently using PDAVIET 21.10.10. all the ROM available having some little problems like WIFE,email, video call etc

I have issue with both ...
Wifi & email
Currently i'm using the PDA_Viet ROM 2.10.10 and I don't have the wifi problem.
Creating a newvemail accout is possible after the known regestry tweak. For now it is a good and stable ROM.
The only thing is that you have to say bye bye to video call...
Looks like the only Wifi problem free ROMs are Jwright's 2.02.02 and PDAVIET's 2.10.10.
For people having problems with WIFE, you can install Flowers v0.3 Beta (it doesn't always work, buggy) or a more expensive program called Jewelry v2.1 which is always guaranteed to work.

Be frank I dont know. Universal is somehow aged device therefore the service providers will focus on the newer devices. Beside HTC Omni(universal successor ) is coming out by October Then universal will be really older version!!!
there was not even a live picture of OMNI. only ambiguous figure. kaiser had not sold everywhere ... the same POLARIS we still do not see ... KAISER at least initially, and then POLARIS fellow and then OMNI. and the coming of OMNI happen until December

In my case(I m still very young and thus got a beautiful GF), none of the things you mentioned work for >1day. After 1day, she(and sometimes me) yammer over something and I hate it.
But, you know what, a tight hug does the job and sweet kiss emblazon the whole relationship
edit: In case of GF, communication ports are fully working
I would say that this thread had deteriorated, but when it starts with someone asking for the Official Version of WM6 for the Universal - you know its going to be bad
The interest in our Universals is fading fast (or completely gone already).. it's already 2 years old. The developers are getting newer devices... The manufacturers no longer support it.

can anyone tell me how to get rid of this UGLY "NEW" comm manager style? Anyone like it? Iam really scared of the graphics which can some people cook into their roms and new version of OCTAVOI has this version of commman too, so its the hell on earth for me! like someone steal my candy!
Is there a ROM based on new build which has not USELESS things cooked into? I just want new build with original Microsoft/HTC/Touch/Cube graphics!
I dont know if this comm man is originally styled by HTC if its true so its first styled component/application i dont really like and it sucks my blood...

i second that but then that would only mean that we would have to help the chefs on this site. they offer us cooked roms with many customization. im sure they dont have time for graphics so lets get sometalented members to help out make the future roms look sexy. perhaps we can have a graphics area for all the phones since there many that would be comon.

I'd be curious what is in the newer stuff that you think is better (not a trick question, just wondering what I'm missing or what I can look to improve in a 318 build).
Agree! I'm using already two weeks mfrazzz's (thank you!) XM6 R3 (OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01). No issues! Everything looks good and works great and fast! Even screen calibration bug is gone. C'mon flash this ROM and be happy, there's actually nothing better in versions with higher numbers!

100% agree ... i am able to do some things, but as i looked around there are also the others who wants... the boot-ups logos drafts for TNT was great... If anyone wants to help with some design things, just contact me

The thing that i really hate about it is this red/greed circles. It is absolutelly ugly in my eyes and this have not to be in such pretty graphics. All is in one style done with perfection and this is what breaking all. Also the ON/OFF text isnt great there.

Its nothing special with roms i think. Its something in me. Specific HIGHER NUMBER SYNDROM ;-) ... but you all are true. I missed reading what are the advantages and just flash, but what was the best rom ever? For me it was faria's AIRAF Stable, great, but missing OneNote (i though that PS's Office2007 can install it to WM device). So the answer is: The bug in me

Hey man, just downloading it, im currious if it will be okay for me. I just want the HomeScreen plugin (this big clock are great and well styled so it fits my needs) and also the Touch/Cube graphics is perfect, but i dont know if its available in .318 versions.

Go over to the Kaiser forum and there is a sticky for a list of cabs. Dutty has a site where you can download cabs, and I believe this one is there. If not, ask in that thread and someone will probably have it for you.

download unsigner, use it, do reshack operation(change resources), sign commgr.exe, cook rom/overwrite/shadow file. be happy.

I am running the above rom which i am very happy with.
I have been looking at the ATi 3D drivers. I am not bothered about the 3D stuff at this point and was just after the performance benifits.
If i installed the drivers would it just work or would it screw things up?

i've just put this on my dutty's WM6.1 build 19209
works fine. in terms of just opening up and closing the keyboard, the time to change the orientation of the screen is about a second quicker than the default Orange UK ROM.
Does anyone know of a .cab file to modify the calendar icon on the slider of the Sense UI 2.5 interface so it shows the day of the week in addition to the number date? I thought i saw this once but didn't get it
Just think it would be nice to see a small Monday, Tuesday, etc. above the nubmer date on the calendar icon. YES, i've searched for this and cannot find anything, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You'd be the man if you find this. I could've swore i saw this or heard someone mention this while browsing around some site here recently, but can't for the life of me figure out where it was?
If it doesn't exist, i CHALLENGE one of the genious's here to make a cab to make it happen. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard, but then i'm no programmer and have no idea how to edit manila files, etc.

Many of NRGZ's roms for example (and others with newer builds) have this on the calender tab already??

I have a CDMA Touch Pro 2 on the SPRINT Network. I have the current updated Stock Sprint Win6.5 ROM OS Version 5.2.21889 ROM version 2.04.651.4

Any luck finding anything? I don't want to flash a new rom, i'm happy with the one i have, just would like to update my calendar icon as stated earlier.

Here it is, I modified the version from Steve0007, the size of the font of the selected tab was a little to big.
I think it's compatible with Sense (Manila) 2.5.xxxx

If someone tries to edit this to make the font a touch smaller, can they repost if it works? I have no idea how to do this and even with the directions above would be totally lost as to where to begin.
