Maybe like others ,i always cry when i see that a file ahs to be downloaded from rapidshare,wich sux to me,cause you have to pay,or wait a day.
So today i ve decide to set you a portal just for you,just for smartphones files exanges,unlimited download,fair bandwith, size limite per file 2 mb.
Let s see how it goes about storage and else,i have allocated to you 2gb disc space,see how it goes.
Understand that this service is free,so at least please respect the tos,it s not a big effort ,and it s for the sake of all of us.

its ok, it was a good post

i just found why i had prob to upload rome on the systeme...my host prov has a php file upload limite set to 2mb that i can t change.
So i had to set it to 2mb,but it ll still be usefull for cabs n stuff,no reasons to complain, it s free

Yes, it is true, read the annoucement on top of the threads.
This means, no more hosting for the ROMs (released ones of ones created by us) this is a BIG loss as it's always a pain in the neck to great any ROM and will push ROM creation into the illegal zone
I will make my prophet ROMs available somewhere else, details will follow later.

yes i'm back, hopefully with a new ROM soon, I had to deal with a lot of personal crap, but i'm back again.

Yeah wellcome back This is good news...
As for "Microsoft's choice".... hope they burn in hell lol well in my perspective they're just trying to finish off those dedicate persons like Jesterz that are working hard to correct Microsoft's software defects...
Hopefully we can all learn from this as I think M$ just reacted to Carrier induced pressure due to lots and lots of customer complaints of bricked devices due to failure to understand ROM upgrade procedures... So please if you are reading this and don't have a clue of how upgrade procedures work, either, don't complain and deal with your bricked device (in a worst case scenario) or don't upgrade at all.
It's a shame
These guys from Redmond shoul learn to respect the work of theyr customers.
We make it possible that they get theyr monthly payment.
I hope we find a way to share our roms and tools any other way.

I don't get it why you all surrender to this Redmond threats.
Usenets have been around for decades. I am a regular user of Usenets from '95 and I can tell you that their strong arm didn't and probably won't reach there.
Why not simply post your valuable stuff there and leave our cherrished forum clean of any files whatsoever?
Just post to alt.binaries.warez.pocketpc and by the way the kind of stuff we find there is really lacking the quality we got here so the newsgroup might just improve that way.

It's so sad to see how MS is dealing with this situation. I have owned PPC's for some time know, and not until I started having problems first with my universal and recently with my prophet that I got into this community. This web site is the best thing that has happened to MS and HTC. I have singed Jester's petition to MS. I know that if this happens I shall go to PALM o iPhone. History teaches us nothing.
It is not by taking the ROM archive dowm that MS can stop ROMs from going around!
Why don't they simply try to release ROMs that WOULD NOT require any interventions from the final user instead.
Looks like the "prohibitionism" has taught these guys nothing at all.
i suggest we can use http://www.mydatabus.com host to share our roms. (up to 5 G space pro person and stable).
Rapidshare, megaupload, uploading...etc are not good solutions for us to download and exchange file. Because it will be deleted in limited times.

it is yourself's private storage space, it depends on you, if delete a file or not. but when you want to share the file, you must make it public.

I came into this forum a couple of weeks back with a bricked prophet G4 & a O2 XDA Exec(UK). Since then not only i have been able to restore my prophet ,I have been able to learn a lot abt PPC as a whole. Its a shame that M$ feels thereatened by this forum as we have done nothing wrong except to give people choice!!! Isn't it our right to choose & develop??? Who's MS to stop us?? Where were they whan I was running from pillar to post to get my bricked prophet running....

I ported it from original JPN rom (not from uni). I think i fixed all bugs that Ive find. And when I'll have a chance to upload it, i'll do it.
I think that other person who promised to release his "own" new rom just speculated with news of my release.
As for new features:
-Office Mobile 2007
-Modem Link (in additional to Internet Sharing)
-New versions of system files
-System is more stable and fast ..etc

mun is a genius i have loked at the dopod 900 rom for 2 weeks with absolutely no idea on how to port it.
i think he should put up a donate link for his time and effort we owe him alot for his mun artm os build 5.2.968 rom and this new one we are expecting.

No problem, I won't put up anyone's ROMs unless they send me an OK, don't want to step on any toes but I can host them no problem got unlimited bandwidth
I did the same thing, but i created a rapidshare type site where you can upload whatever you want and there is no speed limit. Just see my signature

I posted to ask if the method could be used in reverse to convert this X_7510 Chinese ROM to WWE. He has agreed to help, indicating it had not been done yet but was relatively easy. See post # 102,104 & 116. He will need all of the *.mui extracted from the ROM.
Can you i86net or you embassy or someone else who downloaded the ROM repost so that we might take up this very generous offer? I've gone to the original link in posts 1 & 6 above but cannot find the right download link. Of course as it is all in Chinese it does not help.

My biggest issue right now with the x7510 is the slowness. I cant understand how this device that has better hardware than the xda exec is so slow. Out of the box I would have expected it to be much better in handling video, basic applications and system navigation but it is not so. It has to be that it is the software/OS that is the problem? I want to see how things perform under this rom.

Not being as cook I'm not clear either on what you need. Do you need the Windows\Start Menu exactly as it is when this ROM is loaded? or when any ROM loaded just to see how it sits on the x_7510? If is is the former then some of us (not me though) have already loaded this ROM at some point over the last week or three. What tool do you suggest we use to make the archive for you? Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick here.

Hi mate, I agree that everyone has to start learning from somewhere.. You don't have to be very technical do use some of the apps and themes. Just read very carefully the instructions and you'll be fine.
Now I know that a lot of people don't like the words "use the search" but in that case it's the best thing to do. Just type "theme" or :icon changer" or "tweaks" or "games" and you'll have a lot of results and different was to make your phone look and work better.
Nevertheless you'll have to do some work yourself by reading all the stuff.
Before I get hammered for i wish you good luck...

for games i have FPSECE 0.10 which is a superb Playstation 1 emulator.. go to www.fspece.net for the details
